I see that there aren't many current reviews for CountryChase on Yelp, and as we have been clients for the past 8 years, I thought it timely to write a review. First, CountryChase is in a convenient location and is easy to find (right off Linebaugh on the west side of Westchase). There is plenty of parking, too. The building is pretty big - with the left side (as you go up the stairs) dedicated to cats, and the right side dedicated to dogs. Not sure where you'd bring other pets, but I do know that their practice treats all manner of pets: I've personally seen birds, turtles, rabbits, and have heard of some more exotic pets, as well. They also perform surgeries and other medical procedures on site.Most of front desk (particularly Shawn and Kathy) and tech staff have been there since our first visit; they have been consistently friendly and compassionate. We have worked with Dr. Boston and Dr. Trakas quite a bit. (shout out to both of them as I'm also an alumnus of LSU! Geaux Tigers!). One great thing they do is discuss with you any issues your pet may have and go over pricing with you (it is printed out) so that you can make an informed decision. I would like to commend them on how they helped us through a very difficult time when we lost our beloved cat of 13 years; as many of you know all too well, such a loss hurts deeply. We were devastated. The staff, particularly Dr. Trakas and Dr. Boston and Kathy, were extraordinarily compassionate. And, as it happens. Dr. Boston placed her trust in us and gifted us with the most amazing kitty we've ever known....you see, they had found an abandoned kitten who, it seemed, was not fit for adoption as he didn't trust anyone. When we were bringing our cat in for treatment, this little kitty would meow for us and try to follow us (according to staff). We had no idea, but apparently he had bonded with us when we went to his crate and introduced our cat to him and spent some time with him. When our cat passed, Dr. Boston told us she wanted US to have this special kitty. And what a blessing he has been! We brought him home 2 days after our cat passed, and we spent months slowly introducing him to our home, petting him and holding him throughout the day. Today, he is a completely sociable and happy and healthy cat. So, thank YOU Dr. Boston!

Took time off work to take my dog in to get her weighed to get flea medication just to tell me since she hasn’t been here within a year they can’t give it to me. Maybe when ihad called the week before someone could’ve told me that, they knew she hasn’t been in within the year as well, even tried to sell me on a package. You had no problem charging me on the puppy package for a year but can’t take my money now. Guess we’ll be seeing another vet from now on.

CCV is the best veterinary clinic I've ever been to. The staff members are exceptional, they really go above and beyond to make sure your pets are well taken care of. Dr. Smith has seen my 2 rabbits and dogs and each time she has been very professional and considerate. The staff is terrible! After spending hundreds on every visit, when I had questions or needed updated information, Donna was dismisive sarcastic and just rude. Will whom is the manager cant manage himself much less a family with dogs who are older and need lots of care! You can plan on sitting in the waiting room for well over 30 minutes before being seen. Find a clinic for your furry kids who have you and their best interest at hand. This is not the place!!

Dr. Melissa Smith is a terrific veterinarian she is very nice and compassionate. I am very happy with her being my bunny Holly's doctor. I adopted my bunny at SPCA November 26th of this year and I realized she wasnt eating her hay, every week I would get a different kind of hay I thought she was just being picky but it turns out her teeth are in very bad condition. I went to a normal vet near my house because I didnt want to have her be in the car for a long time but the vet I went to didnt seem to make holly a priority and Dr.Smith did and I am so thankful for that she did what she could today and will finish the rest tomorrow.. She sqeezed holly in her schedule because she knew how much pain she was in.. I have given her pain medicine and ibprofin and fed her through a syringe and she is actually eating hay now it makes me so happy, I love Dr. Smith!! knowing Holly is in good hands shows me that I am being a great bunny mommy you can check out her instagram and see how she is doing @hollylopbun

I came in this evening with no appointment and a first time visitor. My dog Vegas had snapped off the majority of one of his nails and our vet was out of town. The entire staff immediately welcomed us...
I came in this evening with no appointment and a first time visitor. My dog Vegas had snapped off the majority of one of his nails and our vet was out of town. The entire staff immediately welcomed us and as busy as they were tonight Dr. Smith and her team made time for us! She was so thorough in the best and least painful option for Vegas and made me feel comfortable with him in her hands. I was extremely impressed with the entire staff here! One of the receptionists even stayed behind late to make sure he was okay They even allowed me to come back and sit on the floor with him when he woke up. I'm sure this entire procedure was routine for them, but it wasn't for me and truly am thankful for everyone here. Thank you for staying late on your Friday evenings and providing such amazing care.

My dog really likes all of the doctors here, they are so nice and pet friendly. I like that they sell soft and hard dog food too. I recommended by sister who has a diabetic cat and she is so happy that she moved to this new clinic. They take the time and care needed for your pets. They are like family.

Horrible how they treat you when most vulnerable. I recently moved here from another state and did not have a regular vet yet. Unfortunately my dog needed to be put down. He was old and had cancer that was spreading, arthritis and was blind. They quoted me a price then the day of the service, came in as I was crying and told me it would be $50 more! Their reason was "we needed more medication". Well I don't see how that's possible given my dog actually weighed LESS than when I was quoted. They knew I had no choice but to pay it, what was I going to do pick up my dog who was in pain and suffering and leave as i am balling my eyes out? TERRIBLE, UNKIND and UNCOMPASSIONATE. I will NEVER go back and urge others to go elsewhere!

We took our bird, Rocky to another vet (one year ago) and nothing was improve. We thought we was going to lose Rocky because it was getting so bad. Rocky had leg injury, infection with dead skins. So, we found Dr. Smith at CountryChase Veterinary. She went out of her way to help us with Rocky. She treated Rocky as if was her own bird. She showed us what to do for Rocky. She goes beyond helping her patients. Now, Rocky is improving and we are still nursing him back to health (been one week now). What a blessing it was to meet Dr. Smith. I wish there were many more like her. Rocky has a wonderful doctor. We really like Dr. Smith and her staffs are wonderful, too.

To those who gave a poor review about price etc. look , this is a business you know? you must take into consideration the cost of running the business, however this vet will provide the best care possible for your pet and I have never had them try and sell me products I do not need, in fact it has been just the opposite, they often tell me of things I can do at home for my cat and homeopathic things I can try.
I know for a fact this owner did and continues to do her research on products and ways of treating illness as I have known her for many years and have taken my pets there just as long so the poor reviews are not warranted, I guess some people just cannot be pleased

Such a great place. We drive about 30 minutes from Seminole Heights to get here but it's really worth it. We rescued a large dog with heartworms and he has gone through his entire treatment at Country Chase. Every time we call with a question and/or complication Dr. Rubenstein (our vet) gets back to us immediately. Literally every member of the staff is familiar with our dog and they are all extremely kind and professional.The services are a little on the expensive side but they price match on meds which is awesome. We've never been pushed to do anything expensive that wasn't necessary either. Honestly I don't know any vet in the area who is better. Really impressed with them.

When we got our puppy (almost 5 years ago!) we tried out a vet in Carrollwood that we did not like. When we mentioned we'd like to pursue more holistic options concerning our newest addition, they became very judgmental. I don't know why businesses do that, it's not like there is only one vet in Tampa. Anyway, we were recommended Country Chase and while we HATE going all the way out to Westchase for care, I wouldn't go anywhere else. They mail us his medicine when we can't drive the 45 minutes out there and let us know ways to save money on his care. They are "dog people" who honestly seem to care about our pup. Every time we visit, they cut his nails if needed and last time even cut off some mats on his paws they worried would cause an infection. Things like that remind me why I drive across town for my dog.

For years I took my dog to Dr. Boston at Country Chase Veterinary. I credit her with saving my baby by properly diagnosing and escalating a serious condition. She was very compassionate, caring, and friendly with me and my dog. She took care of us for 7 years, and I give her 10 stars. Unfortunately Dr. Boston started focusing on other types of medicine, and was unavailable to see my dog anymore. I visited three other doctors, and I just didn't take to any of them. One prescribed an ear infection medicine and neglected to tell us one of the possible side effects was hearing loss. Imagine my shock when I got home one day and my dog was just laying there. He didn't respond to the door chime, he didn't respond to my call, nothing. I thought he was dead! When I got close to see if he was cold or warm he slowly opened his eyes. He was asleep! And completely deaf!I called Country Chase and demanded to see Dr. Boston. I was told she was unavailable. So, I decided to make myself unavailable and took my dog to see Dr. Hamilton at Westchase Veterinary. Have been going there ever since.

I see that there aren't many current reviews for CountryChase on Yelp, and as we have been clients for the past 8 years, I thought it timely to write a review. First, CountryChase is in a convenient location and is easy to find (right off Linebaugh on the west side of Westchase). There is plenty of parking, too. The building is pretty big - with the left side (as you go up the stairs) dedicated to cats, and the right side dedicated to dogs. Not sure where you'd bring other pets, but I do know that their practice treats all manner of pets: I've personally seen birds, turtles, rabbits, and have heard of some more exotic pets, as well. They also perform surgeries and other medical procedures on site.Most of front desk (particularly Shawn and Kathy) and tech staff have been there since our first visit; they have been consistently friendly and compassionate. We have worked with Dr. Boston and Dr. Trakas quite a bit. (shout out to both of them as I'm also an alumnus of LSU! Geaux Tigers!). One great thing they do is discuss with you any issues your pet may have and go over pricing with you (it is printed out) so that you can make an informed decision. I would like to commend them on how they helped us through a very difficult time when we lost our beloved cat of 13 years; as many of you know all too well, such a loss hurts deeply. We were devastated. The staff, particularly Dr. Trakas and Dr. Boston and Kathy, were extraordinarily compassionate. And, as it happens. Dr. Boston placed her trust in us and gifted us with the most amazing kitty we've ever known....you see, they had found an abandoned kitten who, it seemed, was not fit for adoption as he didn't trust anyone. When we were bringing our cat in for treatment, this little kitty would meow for us and try to follow us (according to staff). We had no idea, but apparently he had bonded with us when we went to his crate and introduced our cat to him and spent some time with him. When our cat passed, Dr. Boston told us she wanted US to have this special kitty. And what a blessing he has been! We brought him home 2 days after our cat passed, and we spent months slowly introducing him to our home, petting him and holding him throughout the day. Today, he is a completely sociable and happy and healthy cat. So, thank YOU Dr. Boston!

Maybe when ihad called the week before someone could’ve told me that, they knew she hasn’t been in within the year as well, even tried to sell me on a package. You had no problem charging me on the puppy package for a year but can’t take my money now. Guess we’ll be seeing another vet from now on.

CCV is the best veterinary clinic I've ever been to. The staff members are exceptional, they really go above and beyond to make sure your pets are well taken care of. Dr. Smith has seen my 2 rabbits and dogs and each time she has been very professional and considerate. Will whom is the manager cant manage himself much less a family with dogs who are older and need lots of care! You can plan on sitting in the waiting room for well over 30 minutes before being seen. Find a clinic for your furry kids who have you and their best interest at hand. This is not the place!!

I adopted my bunny at SPCA November 26th of this year and I realized she wasnt eating her hay, every week I would get a different kind of hay I thought she was just being picky but it turns out her teeth are in very bad condition. I went to a normal vet near my house because I didnt want to have her be in the car for a long time but the vet I went to didnt seem to make holly a priority and Dr.Smith did and I am so thankful for that she did what she could today and will finish the rest tomorrow.. She sqeezed holly in her schedule because she knew how much pain she was in.. I have given her pain medicine and ibprofin and fed her through a syringe and she is actually eating hay now it makes me so happy, I love Dr. Smith!! knowing Holly is in good hands shows me that I am being a great bunny mommy you can check out her instagram and see how she is doing @hollylopbun

I came in this evening with no appointment and a first time visitor. My dog Vegas had snapped off the majority of one of his nails and our vet was out of town. The entire staff immediately welcomed us and as busy as they were tonight Dr. Smith and her team made time for us! She was so thorough in the best and least painful option for Vegas and made me feel comfortable with him in her hands. I was extremely impressed with the entire staff here! One of the receptionists even stayed behind late to make sure he was okay They even allowed me to come back and sit on the floor with him when he woke up. I'm sure this entire procedure was routine for them, but it wasn't for me and truly am thankful for everyone here. Thank you for staying late on your Friday evenings and providing such amazing care.

My dog really likes all of the doctors here, they are so nice and pet friendly. I like that they sell soft and hard dog food too. I recommended by sister who has a diabetic cat and she is so happy that she moved to this new clinic. They take the time and care needed for your pets. They are like family.

Horrible how they treat you when most vulnerable. I recently moved here from another state and did not have a regular vet yet. Unfortunately my dog needed to be put down. He was old and had cancer that was spreading, arthritis and was blind. They quoted me a price then the day of the service, came in as I was crying and told me it would be $50 more! Their reason was "we needed more medication". Well I don't see how that's possible given my dog actually weighed LESS than when I was quoted. They knew I had no choice but to pay it, what was I going to do pick up my dog who was in pain and suffering and leave as i am balling my eyes out? TERRIBLE, UNKIND and UNCOMPASSIONATE. I will NEVER go back and urge others to go elsewhere!

We took our bird, Rocky to another vet (one year ago) and nothing was improve. We thought we was going to lose Rocky because it was getting so bad. Rocky had leg injury, infection with dead skins. So, we found Dr. Smith at CountryChase Veterinary. She went out of her way to help us with Rocky. She treated Rocky as if was her own bird. She showed us what to do for Rocky. She goes beyond helping her patients. Now, Rocky is improving and we are still nursing him back to health (been one week now). What a blessing it was to meet Dr. Smith. I wish there were many more like her. Rocky has a wonderful doctor. We really like Dr. Smith and her staffs are wonderful, too.

To those who gave a poor review about price etc. look , this is a business you know? you must take into consideration the cost of running the business, however this vet will provide the best care possible for your pet and I have never had them try and sell me products I do not need, in fact it has been just the opposite, they often tell me of things I can do at home for my cat and homeopathic things I can try.
I know for a fact this owner did and continues to do her research on products and ways of treating illness as I have known her for many years and have taken my pets there just as long so the poor reviews are not warranted, I guess some people just cannot be pleased

We rescued a large dog with heartworms and he has gone through his entire treatment at Country Chase. Every time we call with a question and/or complication Dr. Rubenstein (our vet) gets back to us immediately. Literally every member of the staff is familiar with our dog and they are all extremely kind and professional.The services are a little on the expensive side but they price match on meds which is awesome. We've never been pushed to do anything expensive that wasn't necessary either. Honestly I don't know any vet in the area who is better. Really impressed with them.

When we got our puppy (almost 5 years ago!) we tried out a vet in Carrollwood that we did not like. When we mentioned we'd like to pursue more holistic options concerning our newest addition, they became very judgmental. I don't know why businesses do that, it's not like there is only one vet in Tampa. Anyway, we were recommended Country Chase and while we HATE going all the way out to Westchase for care, I wouldn't go anywhere else. They mail us his medicine when we can't drive the 45 minutes out there and let us know ways to save money on his care. They are "dog people" who honestly seem to care about our pup. Every time we visit, they cut his nails if needed and last time even cut off some mats on his paws they worried would cause an infection. Things like that remind me why I drive across town for my dog.

For years I took my dog to Dr. Boston at Country Chase Veterinary. I credit her with saving my baby by properly diagnosing and escalating a serious condition. She was very compassionate, caring, and friendly with me and my dog. She took care of us for 7 years, and I give her 10 stars. Unfortunately Dr. Boston started focusing on other types of medicine, and was unavailable to see my dog anymore. I visited three other doctors, and I just didn't take to any of them. One prescribed an ear infection medicine and neglected to tell us one of the possible side effects was hearing loss. Imagine my shock when I got home one day and my dog was just laying there. He didn't respond to the door chime, he didn't respond to my call, nothing. I thought he was dead! When I got close to see if he was cold or warm he slowly opened his eyes. He was asleep! And completely deaf!I called Country Chase and demanded to see Dr. Boston. I was told she was unavailable. So, I decided to make myself unavailable and took my dog to see Dr. Hamilton at Westchase Veterinary. Have been going there ever since.
