Dr. Saleh is the best doctor at Ehrlich Animal Hospital. I guess that's not fair to say... we just saw him this week and we are partial to him because he knows our dog and knows exactly shear he needs. All the doctors are great. I brought my dog to see Dr. Gibbs yesterday for the first time after our usual vet wasn't able to see him for weeks. He was limping and the office was able to squeeze me in for a next day appointment,which I really appreciated. The staff were all warm and professional. Dr. Gibbs was very gentle and obviously loves what he does because it shows in his work. I mentioned a budget I was hoping to stay within and he did an excellent job accommodating me. My boyfriend has been a client for years and highly recommended this office and I see why. Today I visited Dr. Danielson for a general wellness exam for my 2 guinea pigs and he was very very great! It's difficult to find vets who genuinely know and care about smaller pets and he was very well rounded. The facility is clean and everyone is nice and courteous, i was in and out in a flash! They also offer a 10$ discount for first time patients and an additional discount of 15$ off for multiple pets. Will definitely be bringing my girls here for a very long time! Read Less

My husband & I first brought our dog, Cooper into Ehrlich Animal Hospital on February 27th. 4 days prior Cooper was unable to walk for no apparent reason. After a trip to another emergency vet & no clear answer our friend recommended we take him to EAH. We were blown away by how helpful & knowledgeable the staff was. We were able to get an appointment within 24 hours thanks to the accommodating hours of operation. After our first visit we had a clear treatment plan and immediately felt positive about Cooper's recovery. We've had around 10 visits to EAH since then and are happy to report Cooper is back to his normal self. We attribute his recovery to Dr. Saleh & his team. My cat Lucy has seen Dr Danielson for check ups and oral surgery, as well as Dr Saleh for a skin rash and fur loss. My husband and I just realized yesterday that we have been coming here for over 17 years! We usually see Dr Wynn but have seen Dr’s Danielson, Saleh & other members of the medical staff on many occasions. They always treat our dogs (and us) with a high level of respect and dignity. They have literally “dropped everything “ a few times to help us get through several doggy emergencies! We believe they have provided us with the best medical care available in the Tampa Bay area Sara, Cheri ,Rose, Bree and the entire reception team treats us like royalty! An incredibly caring staff. I only wish I had found them sooner. Dr. Saleh in particular is just amazing. He was first recommended to us when we needed to find someone to do surgery for our doggie. Dr. Saleh was the perfect choice. His recommendations were excellent and he did a wonderful job with the surgery. Although we originally only planned to go to him for the surgery, it became a no brainer that from that point forward we didn't want anyone else to care for our dog. We are so happy we met Dr. Saleh. He helped us give her a good life right until the end. Unfortunately eventually old age caught up with our little girl and recently had to put her to sleep.  I cannot express my gratitude for how incredible and caring Dr. Saleh and the staff were for our dog, and for us as we went through the letting go process. We are eternally grateful to Dr. Saleh and the wonderful staff for all they did for us and our girl. In the future if we are ever ready for another dog we would never go anywhere else. I called yesterday and today to get boarding information since an old friend of mine told me that they board exotics here. First impressions always count right? Unfortunately, this was a HORRIBLE first impression. I spoke to someone named Tabitha, she has no idea what shes doing. I inquired about boarding my sugar glider there, she didn't know what it was so i explained its like a squirrel (trying to make it simple). The first time i called, she stated that she didn't know, instead of asking she told me just call back and i asked to speak to a manager and she stated she was the manager and hung up on me. I was disappointed since I heard such great things and manager with that attitude? Didn't appreciate that very much. So i called back today, hoping to speak to someone else to see if it was just her or not, unfortunately not.. I explained my concern of what the issue was, if i needed a cage etc and she couldn't tell me so i asked to speak to a higher manager, she had such an attitude and said that she will be there Monday and to call then, tried asking for their voicemail or a time frame to call and she said "I just told you, call back Monday and just ask for her, if shes not here callback another time". Sad because I was reading all the good reviews but if the front desk cant have a good attitude, how do I know that the rest of staff will too? Read Less

Best Animal Hospital in the Citrus Park area.  Office is split to have cats on one side and dogs on another. Staff is always welcoming on the phone and in person. Check-in area is clean and uncluttered.  Not sure how their prices compare to others (a bit high) but you can rest assured that your pet is getting great care.When our pets are in the hospital, Dr. D always calls us at nite to let us know how our pet is doing.Wait time for a doc is usually  less than 5 -10 min. In the room. Docs are not trying to make u spend money.  They provide conservative treatment with thorough explanations on the testing, cost and diagnosis.  Our pets have been clients for 20 yrs. Dr. Danielson is one of the most compassionate vets we have met. When one of our pets dies the hospital always sends a personal card, single rose and a small donation in our pets name to their Alma Mater.Dr. Johnson is new to the practice, but it feels like she's been there for years. Do not trust them to care for your dog. They don't give them your food or any of your treats you bring. They do not do anything they say they will. I picked up my dog after 3 days and he had poop all over his back side. He had diarrhea because they gave him something else, not clear what it was. He didn't get any of his prescription diet food. They gave me ALL of his food back? Won't let me see where he sleeps and changed the price when I picked him up as opposed to what I was told on the phone. They have attitudes and no concerns for why he had poop all over him and why they didn't feed him my food. No one could answer my questions and no one was friendly or compassionate what so ever. Our dog, Scout, had been behaving sluggish and slow moving. As a ten year old Australian Shepherd, I assumed this was due to her age. I will just say that I came from a very bad practice to this one by referral. I was flabbergasted by the staff, docs, and the entire place as a whole. Dr. Saleh is absolutely fantastic! I can't thank him enough for telling me no your dog isn't dying to "he has food allergies ". Techs don't run the place, open on weekends, 6 docs(I think), they take you on a tour of the place and the communication is unbelievable! I never had that at Southpaw. No vet emailed me personally on Sunday to let me know my dogs results before! In fact, I've gone days not knowing things at the other hospital, I had to call them back to find out what was going on. They may be more expensive but I'll pay for it, knowing my dog is getting better care. We have been sending our pets to Ehrlich for over a decade. They have always been nice and have taken excellent care of our dogs. When our last dog was very sick and dying, the staff was very caring and empathetic and prompt with returning our phone calls. We are visiting the area for the winter from Ohio when our 4 year old lab mix, Mabel, started coughing. Since we are camping in an RV park, I wanted to be sure she was not contagious. We have been taking our cats to Ehrlich Animal Hospital for over 20 years, they have always taken very good care of our "kids". Recently our 5 year old Scooter was blocked and could not urinate. I suspected this and immediately called and Dr Danielson had us bring him right in. He ended up having 2 surgeries and a feeding tube inserted because he wouldn't eat. He is doing well now and has recovered from his ordeal. I want to thank Dr. Danielson and Dr Wynn for allowing me to "pop" in on them when I had questions or concerns.Dr Danielson took my calls when I was being paranoid and never made me feel like I was bothering him. I would also like to thank Dr Saleh for being so patient in explaining how to feed him and the excellent care he gave Scooter during his 2nd surgery. The staff and techs who took care of him were wonderful and very helpful. I have read some comments about how they feel they are more expensive but I would never take my cats anywhere else, they care so much for animals and they care equally about the "parents". Dr Danielson cared for my boxer for most of his 11 years. He had a few tumors that needed to be surgically removed and being a sweet pup with somewhat of a questionable heart, Dr Danielson took extra precaution during his surgeries to make sure Lenny didn't endure extra strain on the heart!! Lennox passed a few days ago on Christmas. We were unable to take him to Ehrlich animal hospital since it was Xmas evening and had to go to an after hours vet to coordinate the cremation. The following day Dr Danielson heard the news and called to send his condolences. We received a card from the staff and today a flower arrangement arrived at our home from them as well. This is the most expensive vet I have ever used. Not only are their prices 2-3x what most vets charge, but they are also constantly trying to upsell you on other services. Because of this, I can't trust them to tell me what is best for my dog. I only trust them to tell me what is best for their bottom line. They are very nice people and the work they do is as good as any other vet, it just costs much more than it should to have anything done there. Read Less

I love Ehrlich Animal Hospital! My terrier/ Chihuahua mix Lulu and my cat Lilly have both been coming here for quite a while. I'm vegan and the staff, especially Dr. David Danielson!!! Dr. Danielson is knowledgeable about the vegan lifestyle and is trying to accommodate me in finding vegan/ vegetarian food that is okay for both my dog and cat. Lulu can be a bit difficult and the staff is always more than nice and loving! In the past I have also taken my pet rat here to be treated which is really awesome! Read Less

I just read a post about the price and its angered me a little. GO somewhere else and get crappy care for your babies. I've taken all of my babies to Dr Danielson. He is super compassionate with my babies. He returns my many phone calls and gives superior care to my animals. I have a 16 year old chihuahua that Dr Danielson has treated for at least 14 years now. I took my 5 year old dog in yesterday because she wasn't eating much and had vomited 3 times over a 5 day span. I agreed to have her pancreas looked at and to have x-rays done to check and see if there was anything in her stomach that shouldn't be there. I told the vet that she has never gotten into anything before and swallowed it€she isn't a chewer and only likes to eat protein. I went on to tell him that she'd just come from the groomer 24 hours before the symptoms started so she could have picked up a stomach bug. The vet was convinced he saw something on the x-ray and said we'd better do a barium series to confirm it. In the end, they found absolutely nothing wrong with her and sent her home with anti nausea medication in her system. I received a $771 bill for these tests at check out. At no point did they let me know how high the costs would be for these tests and when I had an issue with it, the nurse told me "maybe I'd better watch her diet better and these things wouldn't happen." When I asked to talk to the vet I was told he'd gone to lunch and he would call me later. When we spoke he realized the front office had overcharged me $225 for the services! If I hadn't called to complain I would never have known. I would be careful when going to this office because they are the most expensive clinic in the area and can potentially overcharge you for services without you ever knowing. The vet wouldn't budge on the charge of $375 for the last service he "highly suggested" she have done because he really thought he saw something that was not there. Be careful to ask for pricing before ALL services you receive at this clinic and make sure they are absolutely necessary or you'll leave with a $771 bill for a dog with a stomach ache. Oh, and make sure they don't overcharge you $225. Read Less

If I could I would give 2.5 stars. Let me start by saying the staff is very knowledgable and the level of care is above average. BUT...they wanted $700 to neuter my puppy and that's with the "puppy package" that I purchased which covers and/or discounts all the procedures associated with a puppy/new pet (only for a certain time period, if you go beyond that timeframe and all of your puppy procedures i.e. shots are not completed, your SOL). I was able to get him neutered for $75 elsewhere. Yes, the level of care after the procedure was probably not as good, but we are taking about a fairly routine procedure, it's not building a lunar module. On that note, be aware that they are INCREDIBLY overpriced and sometimes I honestly feel ripped off as I walk to my truck after a visit. If you have an appointment or a scheduled visit, don't bother getting there early. Regardless of when you get there, you will wait in the waiting room or in the exam room for a minimum of a half hour after your scheduled time. All of that being said, I do appreciate their level of knowledge and care for the animals but they are way overpriced and punctuality is sub par. I will continue to visit but only for visits which I feel are serious and want only expert care. Everything else/routine procedures or visits...I will go elsewhere. Read Less

I found the staff to be very compassionate and the entire staff to be extremely knowledgeable. The prices are fair and hours are convenient. I had an animal emergency and they gladly took my 15 year old Basset Hound in with no notice. They immediately began treatment and cared for her overnight on premise. They gave me a tour of the "behind the scene" areas and I was impressed with the cleanliness and care they were providing. They saved my Basset and I have now moved all three of my dogs to their care with OUTSTANDING results. Was searching for a vet to take my sick cat to on a Sunday and this place came up on my search. Yelpers gave high ratings for this animal hospital so I knew it was going to be a positive experience. There is an extra charge on Sunday but when kitty is sick, you should know that they are here for you. The vet on call was Dr Langbehn and he was caring and thorough in his exam. He has called me twice since my appointment and promised to call again to make sure Katarina is doing better. The nurse asked if I'd like a tour of the hospital and all I can say is Wow!  They have a full dental suite with all the latest equipment. They even performed dental work on a cougar from the nearby Big Cat rescue. They groom, board and perform surgical operations as well.  Do not hesitate to take your pet here, especially when they are sick. I took my cat here for 12 years. She began bleeding at Christmas time. I took her to see her main vet there. He basically said Oh, I have been seeing Kitty since I was a young vet. She could be dying. She needs a bunch of expensive tests. I said I am a single mom out of work. Can you work with me? He said no. My bff referred me to Kindness Animal Hospital Dr. T. He looked at Kitty for free & said let's wait & see. I don't think she needs all of those tests. She lived 6 more years. Read Less

I had one of my dogs neutered at ehrlich animal hospital and first my dog went into a seizure and then he actually died and farid saleh the owner charge me over a thousand dollars and then he was rude to me and I had to pick up my dead dog and farid saleh didnt even come out see me to say anything.
