I could write a book on how wonderful TVC is. I have never experienced such kindness, compassion, consideration and patience with any other vet. Having six animals, vet visits can be stressful. I was recommended to go here a few months back and I was a bit hesitant about switching. I could not be happier with my decision. They are absolute angels and always provide a stress-free experience! Everyone is always professional, friendly and helpful when we go in and the family atmosphere puts the cherry on top. I was recommended to Dr. Joi Sutton by a friend after complaining about another local vet clinic I was using for my two dogs. I met with Joi about having one of my dogs teeth pulled due to severe decay. He is a 14 year old dachshund. During his initial exam and consult with Joi, I told her that I do not like veterinarians. I explained that I have had more negative experiences than positive. The negatives include charging too much money and preying on owners feelings for their pets. I know that good vets exist and that I found one that day. Joi is very professional, experienced, along with her staff. She recently performed the dental extraction on my senior dog and he came through in flying colors. Joi explains every detail of the procedure and sincerely cares about the animal. Most experienced, compassionate, and competent vet I have ever been too! Dr Joi was a blessing to have finally found. If you live in the area or even close to the area, ditch those expensive chain clinics and come here to someone who cares about animals, not about charging you an arm and a leg. I have been all over with my senior dog of almost 15 years and found this place to be the best care she had ever received. No frills office, extremely friendly and kind staff, trustworthy-honest veterinarian to stick with for your furry babies. Great care at a fair and reasonable price! The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful. I take my dogs here for general veterinary care, but I have to give a shout out to Dr. Sutton for her dental skills. I took in two adopted senior dogs that had horrible teeth due to years of neglect. So horrible that I had to roll the windows down when bringing them home.. seriously the worst breath you ever smelled!! Dr. Sutton and her staff performed major dental work on the seniors at a very reasonable cost. Because of Dr. Sutton my old fur babies lives have approved tremendously!! (Not to mention their breath!) I also take a few of the seniors in for laser therapy for their arthritis.  Usually Jane or Stacy performs the procedure, and they are both so patient and professional. This practice recently welcomed a new vet, Katelyn Thomas who is a wonderful addition! She is kind, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. I'm really happy she is now part of my dog's care. If you live in Tequesta or Jupiter, you have to use Dr Sutton as your vet. If you live further away, it's well worth the drive. In 35 years of having animals in our home, this has been the very best experience we have ever had with a vet office. Dr Sutton and the staff are the kindest people in the business.They care about the animals of course, but also offer help to the animal moms and dads when needed. Dr. Joi has been treating my senior golden whos pushing 14 years old and has severe arthritis due to multiple knee surgeries in her hips and knees...Dr. Joi has been treating Goldie and suggested the laser therapy on Goldie, due to a bad experience with hot laser therapy i was very apprehensive and really didnt want to put Goldie through what she experienced prior, so with Goldies in mind and Dr. Jois faith in her technology I decided to give it a try and to my surprise Im actually noticing a positive difference in Goldies mobility and mood. I am new to town and took my two pups to this vet today and I was very pleased. Their entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I did not feel pressured to do/get any shots or any other treatment besides what I came in for, which is much different than experiences I have had in the past with other vets offices. I also felt that their prices were very reasonable! Unfortunately, one of my pups had a reaction to their rabies shot and vomited before I could even pull out of the parking lot. I went back in to ask for paper towels and they ran out to help me and check on my pup. About 20 minutes later, after he started acting better, with some fluids and anti-nausea meds we were helped back out to our car. They took the time to make sure he was feeling better and even loved on him while he was sick (which he loved) when they didn't have to. I felt they went above and beyond for my fur babies and I will definitely be taking them back for future care. Read Less

Dr. Joi Sutton (and her staff) went above and beyond regular veterinary care when doing surgery on my 10 year old female Doberman. My dog needed eye surgery, (a large mass on her eye lid) as well as dental work. Being in remission with Myasthenia Gravis (an auto-immune disorder that presents as Mega Esophagus in dogs) and having a blood clotting disorder, we had some obstacles to navigate around. After appointments with many different vets I felt lucky to get a highly caring and competent team to do the two surgeries under one anesthesia. Initially I made an appointment with Dr. Carmen Coltiz, an eye specialist. I knew she was exactly the vet I wanted to have perform eye surgery on my dog. I now needed a vet that I felt comfortable with doing the dental portion. After giving me several good recommendations I went to see Dr. Sutton. I was impressed with both of their knowledge, professionalism and love for the animals. My dog felt comfortable with both. I felt lucky that they would work together to make these surgeries possible. Joi (unlike many others) took all the health issues very seriously. After talking with Joi at length during a regular health exam, she showed me her facility and addressed all my questions. And I had many!! Dr. Sutton listened closely and had answers that made sense to me. If she didn't know about some detail in particular she would gladly admit it and come back with the information in print. She truly cares and has a very positive attitude. I so much appreciated her precise approach to the timing of the surgery. Joi assured me that they would be keeping her under general anesthesia for as short a time as possible; have a team who all understand the importance of efficiency when under general anesthesia; be monitoring her vitals closely throughout. She did diligent research of what drugs were safe to use with her specific conditions. I can't list all the things and preparations she did to get ready for this surgery but I felt we were in the right hands. Both vets and staff were truly looking out for my girl! Dr. Sutton even kindly asked one of her canine patients to stand in during surgery being a "universal canine blood donor" (thank you owner!!)...as well as having frozen plasma on hand.... just in case!!! Joi's office has a very friendly family atmosphere. I stayed there throughout the surgery and was kept updated frequently on how everything was going. Coincidentally I ran into several friends that I had no idea were also patients there! The surgeries went well. My dog was closely monitored and cared for. The blood clotting medicine that was given seemed to work well. She had a little more bleeding than the regular dog but it was under control. My girl is fully back to her active, happy self. Joi is amazing. I'm picky about my 14 year old dog and I'm kind of difficult to deal with anyways. She has really helped me with flea and tick problems and also did wonders for a large growth he had on his leg and abdomen. If you want the nicest and most knowledgeable vet around the Jupiter/Tequesta area give Dr. Joi a chance, you wont regret it. Read Less

I have lived I Florida for 8 years. Dr. Joi has told me more about my 14 year old Maltese, Maxwell in his 14 years. I lived in Saugus!MA. Dr Joi and her staff are truly wonderful! I recently moved and was nervous about finding a new vet for my mini dachshund. Dr Joi and the staff at Tequesta veterinary clinic are amazing. I had 3 rescue cats and needed a new vet for them. Dr Joi was everything I could have hoped for. She cared for all three of them as if they were hers. And at the end of their lives she was there for them and me as well. A few months after they passed I adopted a rescue dog. Dr Joi again has been there for us. Because of her kindness he is the first animal I have ever had that is truly excited to go to the vet. Dr Joi and her staff always go that extra mile. I can't say enough about Joi and the staff at Tequesta Veterinary Clinic. Our jack Russell must have gotten into something and was really sick. The following morning we took him into to the clinic and they asked all the right questions and performed the tests needed. We were happy to find out with some medication he was going to be just fine. Now this might sound like a normal story of a dog visiting a clinic. But the reason I'm writing this review is because the experience with Joi and her staff is like none other they are the friendliest and most kind hearted team I have ever taken a animal too.
