I am beyond heartbroken that Dr Duke has retired. I had no idea since it's been years since I needed him. He has cared for my birds all my life and is one of the kindest souls I have ever met. I need to take my bird to the Dr because she may be sick and have no idea where to go now. People with parrots know that you cant just trust your bird with anyone, most vets have little knowledge when it comes to avian care. The new people couldn't even give me a name of someone to go to, nor do I feel safe just going to any random...Dr Duke if you happen to see this please tell me where to go and who I can trust!!! :( Read Less

We have been taking our animals here for 45 years and when Dr. Duke retired we were very glad that he sold the practice to Dr. Sandhu. He kept Sara, the vet tech, on and that made us even happier. We love Dr. Sandhu and Sara and the new receptionist . All of the staff are wonderful. We drive several miles out of the way and pass several other vets before we get there because of how good they are. Try them and I believe that you will also come to love them. Read Less

This place is a disgrace. They will rip you off anyway possible. Started goin here 4 months ago got my boy on trifexis been on it since. Came in to wiegh him and get his medicine and the vet tech was tryin to tell me he hasent been checked for heart worms since 3mo old lol no possible because he was a year when i brought him into this place. They would not give me his treatment said he has to have a heart worm test. I said he just had one 4 months ago. Tech wanted to agrue with me about everything i said. No customer service very rude and disrespectful. Also the lady at the front desk is very rude and mean. Not welcoming or nice at all. I highly dont recommend this place and will never be back. Also what if i would have bought 12months supply four months ago???? Then this would have never happened. They refused to sell me any trifexis without givin them pointless money for another heartworm test that e just had 4 months ago Read Less

It was understaffed, i stood at the desk for almost ten minutes waiting for a receptionist. I took my dog in to euthanized and Dr Duke said two words the whole time I was in the office. The tech had to push him away from my dog on the table because he was trying to give him the meds before asking if I had any questions or if I was ready for him to administer the medication. He had no bedside manner at all. He had no empathy for what I was going though at all. After he administered the meds, he checked my dog with his stethoscope, said "he's gone" and walked out of the room. Don't EVER take your pets here if you are looking for someone to empathize with you and treat your animals as their own.Read Less

Avoid this vet if you truly care about your fur babies. I've had two incidents where Dr. Duke set off alarm signals unnecessarily while hospitalizing two separate pets.  On one occasion he called me to tell me my cat had taken a turn for the worse while hospitlaized.  He called me a few minutes later to say "oops", he mistook my cat for another cat, and that my cat was actually doing okay. Needless to say, I removed that kitty from his care.  I should have learned my lesson from that incident, but I figured my other cat was pretty healthy and Dr. Duke was nearby and relatively affordable.  Let's keep kitty #2 there for preventative care.  Well, when kitty #2 needed hospitalization, he was quick to throw in the towel after less than 24 hours and suggest kitty was not going to recover and I needed to decide what to do with kitty since they were closing down for the holidays.  I could send her to the emergency vet, but it would cost me.  According to Dr. Duke, it just didn't look like she was going to come out of it. Well, it didn't take long for hubby and I to rescue our baby and take her elsewhere for care.  Happy to report that our baby is VERY healthy and as spunky as ever.  She just needed a little extra time.  Beware!!!  Do not let Companion Animal Hospital suggest your animal may not recover.  Get a second opinion.  Better yet, seek better care! I was a client of Dr. Duke. My dog is insulin dependent due to his diabetes. The first shady thing I noticed is that they would not give me a prescription for his insulin and or diabetes food to fill ... Read More
I was a client of Dr. Duke. My dog is insulin dependent due to his diabetes. The first shady thing I noticed is that they would not give me a prescription for his insulin and or diabetes food to fill through pet meds. Stated they do not give prescriptions. I was starting to run out of insulin and called and placed a order for my dog. This was on a Wednesday. The girl acted like she had no clue who my dog was and or what medicine he was on. I then contacted the "manager" who apologized and assured me that his insulin would be here no later then Monday by 1. I called and the same girl from before told me it was not in. I said wait...my dog gets sick with no insulin and he has been low since the weekend due to the first mistake. I asked to speak with the manager and she refused to get onto the phone. the girl began repeating herself over and over again about they do not ship out on weekends and that its not "life threatening". Wait...when my dog was in here you said he was border line diabetic coma and needed his insulin. now he can wait almost 4 days because of your mistake. After demanding the manager again the girl hung up. I made multiple calls back to the vet and they would just dump me in voicemail. Finally the manager picked up with an attitude and told me she ordered it but was told after the fact it would be here until Tuesday and or Wednesday. no apologize...no call back..nothing....I said I would like to speak with Dr. Duke. She then advised that no one speaks to Dr. Duke. She then said it was ok for the prior tech to hang up on me because she is a grown woman and if I was rude I deserve it....how do you know I was rude? you wouldn't come to the phone? Then she tells me that I am fired from the office as a client...and she will call and cancel my dogs insulin. Also told me I can come pick up his records. I have never in my life been treated in this manner. I also never knew someone could be so heartless to cancel my dogs insulin. I was a brand new client, called ahead to get estimate for my 3 years old rottie to have her annual check up, was quoted $185. Upon our initial meeting with Dr Duke, he did not introduce himself, nor was he friendly. Upon leaving to check out, our bill came to $270. When confronting the lady at front desk, she said that the doctor must have thought it was necessary to add more costly services to the check up. The bill was the bill. Then, we noticed that the office did not provide us with the Rabies Tag after our dog was vaccinated. And, they also gave our dog the 3 year vaccine without discussing with us if we wanted the 3 year or the 1 year. We luckily called ahead to animal services to find out the cost of the tag, it was an additional $20. And, every year after that, we still have to go to animal services to pick up and pay for another tag. Will not be returning to this doctor. Do yourself a favor, take your dog or cat elsewhere.Read Less

I am beyond heartbroken that Dr Duke has retired. I had no idea since it's been years since I needed him. He has cared for my birds all my life and is one of the kindest souls I have ever met. I need to take my bird to the Dr because she may be sick and have no idea where to go now. People with parrots know that you cant just trust your bird with anyone, most vets have little knowledge when it comes to avian care. It was understaffed, i stood at the desk for almost ten minutes waiting for a receptionist. I took my dog in to euthanized and Dr Duke said two words the whole time I was in the office. The tech had to push him away from my dog on the table because he was trying to give him the meds before asking if I had any questions or if I was ready for him to administer the medication. He had no bedside manner at all. He had no empathy for what I was going though at all. After he administered the meds, he checked my dog with his stethoscope, said "he's gone" and walked out of the room. Avoid this vet if you truly care about your fur babies. I've had two incidents where Dr. Duke set off alarm signals unnecessarily while hospitalizing two separate pets.  On one occasion he called me to tell me my cat had taken a turn for the worse while hospitlaized.  He called me a few minutes later to say "oops", he mistook my cat for another cat, and that my cat was actually doing okay. Finally the manager picked up with an attitude and told me she ordered it but was told after the fact it would be here until Tuesday and or Wednesday. no apologize...no call back..nothing....I said I would like to speak with Dr. Duke. She then advised that no one speaks to Dr. Duke. She then said it was ok for the prior tech to hang up on me because she is a grown woman and if I was rude I deserve it....how do you know I was rude? you wouldn't come to the phone? Then she tells me that I am fired from the office as a client...and she will call and cancel my dogs insulin. Also told me I can come pick up his records. I have never in my life been treated in this manner. I also never knew someone could be so heartless to cancel my dogs insulin. I was a brand new client, called ahead to get estimate for my 3 years old rottie to have her annual check up, was quoted $185. Upon our initial meeting with Dr Duke, he did not introduce himself, nor was he friendly. Upon leaving to check out, our bill came to $270. When confronting the lady at front desk, she said that the doctor must have thought it was necessary to add more costly services to the check up. The bill was the bill. Then, we noticed that the office did not provide us with the Rabies Tag after our dog was vaccinated. And, they also gave our dog the 3 year vaccine without discussing with us if we wanted the 3 year or the 1 year. We luckily called ahead to animal services to find out the cost of the tag, it was an additional $20. And, every year after that, we still have to go to animal services to pick up and pay for another tag. Will not be returning to this doctor. Do yourself a favor, take your dog or cat elsewhere.Read Less
