I wouldn't even give this one star if I had the choice. This is the worst vet I've ever been to. To start I have a rabbit who was not neutered but I saw a growth on his private area so I showed the vet and she had said it's better to remove it and have him neutered. So my rabbit has the surgery and when I pick him up I went home to look at his incision and to my disbelief the growth was still located on his area. I call the next morning confused asking to speak to the vet about why it was removed and a technician speaks with me stating " there was 6 eyes on the rabbit and no one saw a growth on him"....excuse me? So why did I spend $350. The vet never once got on the phone with me to speak with me about the issue and they claimed my rabbit doesn't have a growth but that was the whole reason for having the surgery and still had my pay for the procedure. Moral of the story they clearly don't examine animals and I would never trust my pet going to this location for anything. Read Less

When we got our puppy, they recommended this vet for the first visit and to get vaccinated. When we got there the receptionist was nice enough and we were called right on time. That's when things started to go down hill. The first girl we spoke to was very condescending and kept referring to our dog as a he when clearly the paperwork said otherwise and we continued to refer to her as a she. Basically confirming that she wasn't paying any attention. She said we shouldn't have our dog breed in an apartment, and that we shouldn't be feeding her the way we are, and basically everything that we are doing is wrong when clearly it was working. The vet came in also spoke down to us. Mind you, we have both owned dogs, trained dogs, lived with dogs, we aren't incapable of taking care of this puppy. She told us that we needed to let the dog run (obviously?) And then told a story about how they had an owner come in that wasn't walking the dog and it was overweight, so they confiscated the dog and gave it to a "better home." This is very concerning when they take your puppy in the back for vitals and check ups, because what if this woman decides it's completely okay to just confiscate your dog? There are ways to teach people how to care for an animal rather than just take them. Overall the experience was frustrating and disconcerting. We both left feeling very uncomfortable with ever taking our puppy back. Read Less

I'm rarely someone who leaves reviews but, this Animal hospital was entirely a horrible experience which made me cringe. They misdiagnosed my boxer puppy and then claimed they never had his shot records when I tried to take him to another vet, even though he's gotten all previous shots at this location affiliated with the breeder. The vet did not even examine my puppy before giving him meds. After owning 5 dogs in my lifetime and seeing how they treat my boxer puppy (the only animals that's visited this location), I will never visit this location again. Read Less

Dr. Randolph is the poster child of those shirts/stickers that say 'I like animals more than people'. She prefers telling you what to do rather than discussing options and will find any way to over bill you - office visits, urine analysis, sending to labs, follow up visits, follow up tests, etc. (We started going to a new vet who told us to just drop-off a urine sample, ran the test without a fee, and told us to pick up some medicine. I didn't even need to bring my pup in at the time.) And, have you heard the way she talks to her vet techs? No one should belittle or scream at another person the way she does. Read Less

I just want to start with, if I was one of her employees I would hate my life and have sucicide hotline on speed dial, with that said I pray they find a better life/employer. She would embarrassingly talk to her vet techs as if they were "bad dogs" in front of us, and scream at them in the back room loud enough for the entire building to hear as if they were unruly children. Not even in a correcting manner, it was all very hateful, belittling and downright cruel. She was even rude towards us. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY she told me my dog couldn't catch my cat's upper respiratory infection which come to find out is COMPLETELY FALSE. It was a terrible experience, we almost walked out mid-visit. Would never recommend to anyone. Read Less

The vet was very rude to the vet techs and was even screaming in the back room and cursing... I don't know about you but that's not a person I would feel comfortable taking care of my dog. Not to mention she was giving horrible advice she told me my small dog of 10lbs only needed to eat once a day when smaller dogs need to eat twice a day as adults and she also recommended to give my dog rawhides when those are the worse dog 'treats' to be made... They're made with loads of chemicals. This is not a person you would want to be in charge of your pets health. Find a better vet for a reasonable price. Read Less

I brought my 8 year old dog Ava to Union Park Veterinary Hospital on the advice of a good friend. I had already brought her to 2 other vets within the past 6 weeks for increased wheezing and difficulty breathing. The first vet did a battery of tests (and we know how much that adds up to) and told us that according to the blood work we were looking at either a severe inflammatory condition or cancer. She also stated that while she thought it might be a cancer I should be comforted by the fact that they did not find any solid masses. This encouraged me. As time went on she continued to decline, so I brought her to a second vet for a second opinion. I requested that the tests not be repeated, but just to evaluate. The second vet agreed with the first and said it was probably a cancer. I was talking with a good friend and she told me about her vet and I decided to try one more time for some answers. I took Ava to see Dr. Randolph and explained what was going on. She immediately opened her mouth, before doing anything else. She could immediately see a mass growing in the hard and soft palette of Ava's mouth. By this point it had reached the size of an avocado and it was becoming almost impossible to breath. Dr. Randolph was very straightforward and offered multiple treatment options and discussed pros and cons of each. She did not sugar coat it and told me that it was most likely a cancer and one of the treatment options was to de-bulk the tumor and alleviate her breathing difficulties. No promises were given that it would cure, just improve quality of life. We decided to follow that path and the surgury was performed the next morning. After much difficulty in intubating Ava, the surgery was performed and Dr. Randolph was able to remove all of the visible tumor. Pathology reports came back that she has Osteosarcoma and Chondrosarcoma. The surgery was performed on 12/23/16 and as I write this today 4/15/17, Ava is extremely happy and comfortable with no signs of the tumor returning yet. While we know that it is unlikely to continue to remain this way, the quality of life that she has given back to Ava and the additional time that we have to cherish with our pet is invaluable! Dr. Randolph and her staff are always attentive and spend as much time as needed to make sure that we leave there with all of our questions answered and no pressure to perform tests or procedures that aren't needed. I would recommend this office to any who need a vet that is going to put your pet first. Read Less

I want to be as thorough as possible in this review. My background with animals involves caring for a cat colony in my neighborhood, adding up to about 12. Ventures to a number of vets in the Orlando area have been made over the course of 5 years, and I ended up settling for a vet who seemed knowledgeable and experienced on the front end but was ultimately money driven. Recently, I ran into an ex-employee of his who warned me to stop going to this vet who then recommended that I see Dr. Randolph. Let me just tell you what a big sigh of relief it is to have encountered a vet who is truly passionate about animals. I cannot articulate the correct words to express my sincere gratitude towards Dr. Randolph, especially after the wretched experience I have had with other vets in the past. Even though I have only visited her a few times so far, I am thoroughly impressed by her devotion to her work. Truly, she's an artist at translating the medical details of your pets issues into a simpler words that are much more easy to follow and understand if you're someone who hasn't the slightest grasp of any subject/concept in the medical field, like myself. When she explains things, she gets a little boisterous which can be intimidating, but witnessing her explain the multiple things that have been wrong with some of these cats is truly something. It's really her passion that's showing, I believe. When it comes down to it, it's not about the money. You're never going to find a cheap vet and if you do, you cannot expect real quality from that vet -- so if it's quality care that you want for your pet, you want to bring them to Dr. Randolph. We got an adorable puppy recently from Breeders pick. They told me that they use this vet and our puppy just needed one more vaccine - rabies, and we could do bordatella vaccine if we chose. They said this vet would give us a free visit since we got her there. I should have known better. I took her there, told them I wasn't sure about the bordatella vaccine, but definitely wanted the rabies one. Before I knew what was happening they had given her both and charged me $138 for the vaccines. I was upset but still hoping for the best. The next day my puppy started coughing and had diarreah. I brought her back in and they told me she must have a cold and gave us antibiotics and a cough suppressant, and charged me $98 for a visit and meds. Fast forward to today, antibiotics are finished and she's still coughing. I'm finishing up right now at my regular vet who just told me she has kennel cough, the antibiotics we were previously given were not even for a cough and left untreated there is a good chance this would have turned into pnemonia. I am so livid, DONT GO HERE. Seriously, don't. Read Less

Dr. Randolph is excellent. And as far as someone saying that this Vet tries to get you to have things done that you don't need, that is ridiculous. I know from first hand where other vets have tried this and Dr. Randolph would discourage unnecessary procedures. The only time I have witnessed any strong directives to staff is when she is trying to re-enforce veterinarian procedures. If I was studying to be a vet, I would choose Dr. Randolph to study under. She knows all of the latest procedures, medications, etc.; but will absolutely not encourage procedures unless it is in the best interests of the pet and the owner. This is an excellent place to take your pet and I have moved several of my animals to this establishment. Read Less

I might have been wavering between 3 and 4 stars but for the price gauging that i just got. i don't really have any dramatic stories, my cat just went in for routine exam/shots in the past and i liked dr randolph well enough. i try to take my cat to petsmart to get his nails trimmed and ears cleaned for around $15 plus tip, but it is so dang impossible to get a "cat groomer" at petsmart. they only do cats mon-thurs and mostly during the day and i have to work too so what the heck i thought i would take my cat here for a nail trim, fully expecting it would be more then petsmart. i brought him in and said i want him to get my cat a nail trim, then at the last second added "and ear cleaning" without even questioning the price. well, the nail trim was $23.75...fair enough i suppose, but the ear cleaning, for a cat, which took ten seconds was $32.20!!! i asked the office manager to review that charge and she replied "that is no error and is the cost of an ear cleaning, you paid for services rendered, we cannot refund for a service provided".Wow. lesson learned. Okay, I don't really understand all the poor reviews - she yells, your dog had an allergic reaction, she charged you too much? First of all she gets loud like that because she wants everyone to move and get stuff done, ESPECIALLY in emergency situations. Second, it's not her fault your dog had an allergic reaction, it can happen to any pet. No medication comes without risks/side effects so don't be silly and blame the Doctor. As for the "charging too much for things you don't need comment" -- are you a vet? How do you know your pet didn't need whatever it was? And she PRICE MATCHES. So if you'd taken the time to ask about that you wouldn't really have anything to complain about right now. I took my cat to see Dr. Randolph just before closing hours because I realized there was something seriously wrong. I called and they told me to get there ASAP. They weren't concerned with leaving because it was time to clock out, they were 100% focused on diagnosing and saving my cat. Which they were able to successfully do. Even though it's been months and the progress was slow at first, Cat is back to her charming, feisty little self. I believe in my heart she wouldn't be here today if it was for Dr. Randolph and her amazing staff. I normally don't take the time to write reviews (good or bad).. but the ratings people are giving Union Park Animal Hospital are so ridiculous and misleading. If you want the best treatment for your pet, especially in a crisis, take them here! You will not regret it. By the way, as the 1 star poster below me stated "she has an F on BBB" -- completely not true, she's not even accredited on the BBB which isn't a bad thing. So don't listen to the lies some people tell on here, please do your own research when people make statements like that. Read Less

This vet got recommended from my sister who took her dog here for 9 years and she absolutely loved it.I took my new chi-weenie here and he got all his puppy shots with the phenomenal Dr. Kelly Randolph. She's quick, loving, super caring, and my baby didn't feel a thing! (One time there was another vet here when Dr. Kelly was off and she was slow, my dog was crying. The other other vet put out a paste for dog to eat to distract him from getting the shot and he ate it all before she stuck the needle in him! Avoid any other vet at all cost! )Boarding here is terrible. My dog once ate something and wasn't going to the bathroom so I boarded him so they could keep an eye on him. When I had someone pick him up, they gave my friend just my dog himself. Not the bag of things he came with (toys, treats, blanket, treats, raw hide, etc.) and the car seat I left for them to give to the person picking him up.After him being there for 6 hours, I wanted an update to see if he pooped yet and they didn't know! What do you mean you don't know?!If he doesn't poop, he was going to need a $2,000 surgery! The boarding is just keeping them in a crate and taking them on walks to poop. Nothing exciting or fun but I needed a close eye on him. So if you took him out, you should definitely know of he pooped or not. There's no AC for the bigger dogs either. So I asked the front desk if I could speak to Emmanuel to find out if he pooped and she said that he left already and is off the next two days. So did my dog poop? Who knows! They also charged my friend money for giving him medicine, (they shouldn't have because his medicine shouldn't have been given until 7pm) they said they didn't give him anything, they just THOUGHT they would have. When you come in, you fill out paper work and you tell them if he needs to be fed or given medicine and I said no. Lastly, with the big bag of treats, toys, rawhide, they didn't give my dog anything. everything was given back to me the same way I have it to them. Nothing was touched. The ONLY reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because Dr. Kelly is a PHENOMENAL vet but everyone else is a shame. Read Less

I came to this vet because the office is within walking distance of my house. The place is small and a little dated, but that kind of thing doesn't concern me much. What is concerning is the lack of professionalism. The first time I brought my cat in, the staff told me he had a deadly feline disease and would need to be put down. I was devastated. A few hours later they called me back to tell me that their staff had goofed up and the test was invalid. Had I taken their word for it and acted immediately, I would not be sitting beside my cat today. They apologized and offered to run the test again, which I agreed to. It came back negative. So I let it slide as human error and decided to give them another shot. Well, it's a few months later and my cat needs another checkup so I bring him back in. This time, as we're waiting in an exam room, the vet goes into the back room and begins loudly berating her staff for not doing something quickly. And I'm not talking about a simple reprimand, but closer to personal insults. It's one thing to be rude to your staff, but with the exam room door cracked open enough to where a client has full view of the poor assistant's face? Then to come back into the room, still fuming, and call the employees names right in front of a customer? Unbelievable! Basically, this place's "expertise" is questionable and I won't be back. I simply don't trust their word, their prices are high (with no option to pay with care credit either), the vet talks so much that you can't get a word in, and she clearly dislikes her job. I hope her assistants find someone to work for who treats them with respect. Meanwhile, I'll be taking my pets to a place that won't brush their care under the rug. Read Less

I took my dog here on a recommendation from a friend to get a second opinion regarding my dogs patella that needed surgery. Dr. Randolph was very knowledgable and kind when we met and always has been. She did a great job on my havanese's patella and after normal recovery time is like the same healthy dog he always was. Good as new! I can't thank her enough for the skillful work she did. This office is also cheaper than where I got my first quote. I am taking my dog here again soon for his needed shots thanks to their postcard they sent to remind me of what is due. Read Less

I have been taking my pets to Union Park Animal Hospital for three years now. The front desk staff has always been very helpful getting me in quickly for appointments and  ordering my pets food as I need it. Dr. Randolph gets to know every pet as an individual and always remembers my pets and thier issues. She takes the time to answer all my questions. She has vaccinated,  neutered and spayed my pets with no complications. She also saved my female Rottweiler's life she delivered nine pups and had to have a masectomy due to severe mastitis we almost lost her, she became very ill and had to be hospitalized. Dr. Randolph did surgery on her and saved her life. She also had her staff show us how to nurse and care for the puppies as well. My dog survived as well as all of the puppies. ANOTHER time Dr. Randolph also cared for my 16 year old feline who was having several issue including liver problems. Thanks to Dr,. Randolph diagnosing her immediately and with the proper care and medication's prescribed my cats life was prolonged  for 5 more months than expected. When it was time to euthanize due to her condition becoming worse Dr. Randolph was very honest, kind and sympathatic with us. My children and I were all present for it .I honestly would not take my pets anywhere else, she is an AWESOME VET. She can be very blunt about things but thats what I love about her, is her honesty, she does everything possible to help out and does not try to go in circles about things. I appreciate that honesty from her you don't get that very often. Read Less

Read Less

The vet yells at her employees daily causing very low moral. The clinic's roof and ceiling leaks everytime it rains causing minor flooding where animals are kept. The mold is terrible. The air is very unhealthy with poor circulation in the bathing and grooming areas. Also the office steals grooming tips left for grooms on credit card transactions. Read Less

I wouldn't trust my rabbit with any other vet! Dr. Randolph was able to not only spay my rabbit but remove a tumor that she had in her kidney, my rabbit was not feeling well before but now she's better than ever thanks to Dr. Randolph. I certainly recommend this vet, not only because of her extensive knowledge of all animals and the love and care my rabbit received, but because the doctor and staff were so friendly and kind about treating my pet and helping us with the entire situation. She definitely saved my pet's life and made sure that we were knowledgeable about the entire situation. Would recommend every single time!! Read Less

I have never in my life experienced anyone even remotely close to Dr Randolph. While waiting in the lobby with my two children for my appointment as a first time customer she was screaming at the top of her lungs in the back at a staff member. Calling them every name in the book all loud enough for us to hear in the lobby clearly. After she was done ranting she sent that staff member in to apologize to us. Never take your pet here! If she speaks to her staff like that I can only imagine how she treats animals. The only reason I'm giving her one star is because there was no option to do a negative amount of stars Read Less

MOST UNPROFESSIONAL VETERANARIAN!!!! She yells at her employees in front on clients and makes you feel very uncomfortable. Dr.Randolph injected my 10 week old Maltese puppy with a vaccine and later in the day my puppy collapsed after an allergic reaction to the vaccine. I rushed him back into the office hoping to hear some good news however Dr.randolph yelled at me and told me I should have gotten a German Shepard if I didn't want to deal with health related issues regarding my dog and that all small breeds have these problems. Than she proceeded to charge me extra money for a glucose injection that I wasn't told about. Bottom line please don't bring your pet here!!! I'm warning you! I've had the most tragic experience and almost lost my puppy due to her unprofessionalism. She also has an F rating on the better bussinuss Bureau. I feel sorry for the way she treats her staff! Poor customer service especially when it comes to someone walking in for emergency care. They don't see anyone without appointments, gosh I wish I could plan my emergency with my pets, if that was the case we wouldn't need to call it an emergency!  Makes no sense to me but lesson learned as they say you get what you pay for, next time I will continue with our normal vet hospital and emergency care even though cost more, they show they care for your pets and pet owners.

Read Less
