I Love this place (Especially more since the new good looking vet 😃). Although I rather not go to a vet, but when my cute little puppy is not feeling good, my handsome husband, the good looking technician Dan and the good looking Dr.Ian all together just make a great enjoyable scene so the overall experience is so much more calming. They have sincere sympathy for our puppy and never try to charge us big $💸💰$. Instead, Dr. Ian stop me from giving too much treats🍖🥓🥩🧀 and get regular cleaning tools for my puppy 😢sad but we truly appreciate all the helpful tips. I randomly have challenging questions but Doctor is always patient to answer and we joke along here and there, talking to them feels more like visiting friends. Ok, seriously... Was told I had two options (and I was explicitly told that this was coming from their 30 years in the service), pay thousands in expensive medical bills or put my dog down. Well, I did neither and my dog is doing great. I took him to a farm vet out in Hardy (I was not charged a dime btw). If you're in a hard spot with your pet, this is the vibe I got; They will weigh the damage to the pet and then weigh your emotional attachment to the pet and then calculate the cost and how many services they can squeeze out of you. I was able to schedule a timely appointment and the staff was very friendly and personable. My boy needed a dental cleaning and was going to lose at least one molar. My cat has never had his teeth cleaned and I was very worried. Not only was I kept updated throughout the day on his procedure and recovery, but Dr. A was able to save his tooth! DR. JIM ANTUÃANO and his staff are awesome. I have three labs that I take there for their medical needs. They are a group of professionals that care extremely about animals. I had to have my 14 year old cat euthanized today and I have had to do this very unpleasant task in the past. He was also so kind and respectful of her needs when she was riddled with lymphoma at the end of her life. I don't leave reviews but this needs to be said. We are new to the area and needed a new vet for our 4 dogs and saw this place had good reviews. They never told me which tests they were doing beforehand or the cost of anything. It did not matter if I took 1, 2 or all 4 of my dogs at one time I was always charged a minimum of $300 with no real break down of the actual charges. One of my dogs, has allergies according to my old vet, and they kept giving us medication that would kind of work while he was taking it but didn't solve the itchiness entirely. They just suggested we clean him off everytime he comes in from outside, we have a fenced in yard with a dog door and we both work full time, so it's not feasible to do this. He still itches. The staff was nice but never very informative on what they were doing or why. It even took me several trips to get an actual price list from them. They do seem to try to care for the animals but they really seem to only care about money. I won't go back just to be changed another $300 for no reason.Read Less

Absolutely awful vets office. The dr basically tells you, you have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to your own animal. He will yell at other animals also right in front of you. Very unprofessional place. The short asshole who works in the back is just as bad. Awful attitude and has no idea how to talk to clients. I would never recommend this vet to anyone. I have been taking my animals to Dr A for a few years now.  I have 3 dogs and 4 cats.  I have spent a tremendous amount of money at this vet's office and I feel that the care is great.  However, when looking over my invoices I always find a duplicate charge our a line item that was "mistakenly" added.  Just recently I went in and had heart worm test done on my pups and was going to purchase sentinal.  Their price for a six month supply was 82.00.  I found the same on line and it was only 56.00.  When I asked for the script so I could purchase online, I was charged a 10.00 per dog prescription fee....I really feel like with how much I have spent, my loyalty to that office and my frequent visits should count for something..10.00 is not allot but it's principal. We went today for the first time since moving to the area recently to establish care for our two dogs, one very elderly and one middle aged. Dr A and his staff was very thorough and were extremely knowledgeable. Dr A even put us on a vaccination schedule so I am not bringing them both in at various times for updates. My dog has been recovering for a few days there after Dr. A did knee surgery on her, and everyone has been so pleasant when I call a million times to check on her. I used Debby at Animal Medical Center for the 1st time and she was very sweet. She took the time to answer all my questions and she gave me some tips on how to keep my dog matt free. I own a dog that is difficult to groom and was referred to her because I was told she was able to groom my dog without sedation. Well, this was very true in fact my dog looked better than he ever did. Debbys prices were actually cheaper than the last animal hospital I went to plus I didnt have to have my dog sedated. I can't say enough about how pleased I was with my first visit to this vet. The first thing I noticed was that it didn't smell like your typical vets office. It smelled and looked clean neat and organized. I called them because my cat had been sick for a while and after the girl on the phone got some basic information about me and my cat, they were able to get me in later on that day! When we got there we were greeted by all three ladies at the front desk, filled out some paper work, and were very soon brought into an exam room. The technicians then took over and asked a bunch of questions about my cat, got her weight and temp and looked her over. When the doctor got there, he did a great job handling her and making her feel at ease. They then took her in the back area, gave her some medicine and brought her back to me. When a brought her up to get charged out, my bill was less than I expected! Cuddles is doing great now and I will definitely be going back with both of my cats and my two dogs. So the wife brought home 2 kittens one day. I brought them to a local vet close to the house for a check up and shots. That was my first mistake. Not to say that i had an issue with the quality of care, but each and every time i walked in there, I was hit with a sales pitch. I feel that they prescribed medicine that wasn't necessary, food that wasn't needed, or pressure to bring in the other animals. Once again, the quality of care isn't in question here, but I left there thinking in my head, that this vets number one goal was to make money, not to care for my pets. After all this, i brought my pets to another vet in the area and was surprised how much more they were concerned with the welfare of my pet, and the the welfare of my checkbook. "I am the biggest advocate of surgical laser technology for animals. If it wasn't for this miracle capability, my dog Gunnar would have been dead at only six-years-old. But because of laser surgery, Gunnar is almost 14-years-old. This is our story: I bought my exotic wolf-dog up in Northern California in 1994. He had been brought down from Alaska and I hand-picked him from the litter. I raised him from 8-weeks-old and he grew up with my family and particularly my young daughter. As part of a military family, he traveled all around the United States with us, from California, to Texas and finally to Florida. He was a great pet who loved kids and would give all of the kids in the neighborhoods rides by running with them on his leash and pulling them on their skateboards.In September of 2001, he started getting a tumor on his tongue. Within a week it had turned into a big black mass and was spreading quickly. I took him to every veterinarian in the area. They all told me that it was cancerous, but because it was on his tongue, there was nothing I could do and he would die. I was devastated and began searching for someone who could help. I was on my last visit to the last veterinarian I could find and thought that I would have no alternative but to put my pet down. The veterinarian explained to me that to try to cut out the tumor on Gunnar's tongue would cause incessant bleeding that would be extremely painful for him and that if the surgery didn't go well, he could bleed to death. Then the veterinarian told me that there might be a chance. He said that there was one veterinarian in the area that was using a new technology ... .a laser surgical procedure that might work. He told me that if anyone could save my dog, it would be this veterinarian ... with laser surgery. And he referred me to Dr. Jim Antunano at the Animal Medical Diagnostic Center in Valrico, Florida.I immediately met with Dr A (as we fondly call him) and he explained the procedure to me. He would cut out a portion of Gunnar's tongue and he believed he could be precise enough with the laser technology to save most of the tongue and Gunnar would be able to eat and drink like normal, just a little slower. There was not time to spare, and we scheduled him for the next day. In Gunnar's pre-op Dr. A found a second tumor on his leg, so both tumors were removed. My dog's life was saved and recovery was better than I even expected. In no time at all, Gunnar was back home with both tumors completely gone and life was normal again. Gunnar was the talk of the town and everyone was amazed at our miracle story.This story would have been completely awesome in itself ... but it didn't stop there. In June 2003, Gunnar developed three more external tumors that tested as cancerous. Laser surgery removed all three painlessly and successfully. In May 2006, two more tumors were removed from the head/ears area and another on his leg two months later. A final small surgery was successful in removing another small tumor in February of 2008. Through it all, Gunnar has recovered quickly and fully from each surgery, and one would never know that he has undergone multiple surgeries. In February he will be 14-years-old. He is an integral part of both my family and Dr. A's laser surgery clinic.If it wasn't for laser surgery, I would have lost Gunnar at the early age of only six-years-old. It would have been a needless death. Instead, my family has enjoyed a lifetime of loving memories with our pet and I will be happy when he does die, that it will be as it should be.
