I have been coming to this vet for 2 years. I spent thousands, and I trusted them. I don't know if everything went bad after Dr. Park left, or if I ignored all the cues. I have boarded my diabetic cat multiple times. I was told that they go back in the evening to feed and medicate. That was a lie. They called me this morning because my cat was having seizures. The new vet said that she saw her seizing when she came in and immediately gave her glucose, never checking her sugar until after the fact. By the time she checked it, it was 106.... right at normal (but low for a diabetic cat). The extremely rude vet tech that I spoke with after that said the vet is confused and none of that happened. I again verified with the vet, and she said Nala was in fact in hypoglycemic shock. From all that I have gathered, they gave her insulin at 4pm after not eating, only 8 hours after the previous dose. For those that don't know, insulin needs to be 30 minutes after the cat has eaten, and 12 hours after the previous dose. Dr. Hong called me to tell me that he was not paying the ER bill (over a grand). No apologies for almost killing her. He mentioned that he would not be boarding anymore diabetic cats, and this has happened before! I found another review on Google that is almost word for word the same situation. He said that it's because "cats are emotional," in reality this was gross negligence. The ER verified through blood work that this was insulin poisoning. I should've known that he knows nothing about feline diabetes when he put her into hypoglycemic shock because he didn't take into account that many cats spike their sugar when they're anxious (white coat syndrome).

I was very unhappy with the vet I was using and when my 12 year old shittuz became very ill I decided to call the Wellness Center and see if I could bring her in asap. The vet tech. said to bring her in as quickly as I could. The front desk staff and the doctor were awesome. He spent a lot of time with us and explained what tests he needed to do and why. They were very gentle with Wendy and put both of us at ease. The doctor was also able to figure out a severe skin and cough problem that the other vet I was using was not able to help her with after seven visits. The final bill was very reasonable and the itimized list of each test and procedure was 35% lower than what the other vet charged. I will never go back to the other vet. They also have a fantastic groomer in the same building. He is one of the best. I plan on using the Wellness Center for my dog and our three cats from now on.

The staff at Animal Wellness is very friendly and I trust them with my pets' care. Their rates are reasonable, and they are great about calling with follow-up information. My cat had surgery to remove an infected cyst, and the site has healed well, with barely a scar. They ensured that he was as comfortable as possible by providing pain medication and great after-care. I really like the vets, as they are very gentle with my animals, and my dog does, too!

We love Dr. Park. She is so kind and has great bed-side manner. We ended up waiting a long time at the office last time we were there and we needed to have a tick removed from our dog and bc of the wait she didn't charge us the appt fee. Such great service! I would totally recommend this office. And they stayed late on a Sunday to help us.

Please please if you have a pet on any kind of medication that there life is dependent on it don't leave them there. I was instructed that they were experience with diabetic pets so I left my insulin dependent cat there and instructed them to give him his food and shots about 12 hours apart and while he was eating. They didn't follow directions even though I called and check up on him and to remind them of this. He was very energetic when I left him there and after 5 days he was sick and a couple of days later he died after spending money on vet bills but nothing they could do to save him. I ask for a writen schedule of his feeding and insulin and it was given at 7:30am then at 3:30om then again at 7:30am 16 hours later. Anyone which knowledge of diabetic animals know you don't give them 8 then 16 hours apart especially after I instructed them what to do. They also called me around noon the last day saying he never ate that morning nor did he have his shot. They should have called me way earlier that day and offered to test his blood sugar. They did test it before I pick him up that day but was never given the reading even though I ask them several times. Anyway if you love your pet don't leave them there cause they lie to you and say they are ok and that they are doing what's instructed then you end up with a very sick or worse dead pet. As for the rest of the staff and the facility it was a five star operation.

AWFUL!! I took my cat here and this individual did not give her any gas before performing a ear cleansing when she was in a lot of pain and with an otitis, when in fact a different and previous doctor gave her some gas to avoid any suffering: her cries were so loud that the whole establishment could hear her, I have submitted a formal complain to the Florida Veterinary association against him. I will NEVER EVER go back to this quack, ever!!!

Dr. Hong has been our vet since 2005 (2 dogs, 1 cat) and we have always been thoroughly satisfied with the care that they have received at Long Lake Hospital and the Animal Wellness Center of Wesley Chapel. Recently Dr. Hong brought on an associate, Dr. Seohye Park, and she has certainly maintained Dr. Hong's long-standing tradition of excellent care. For the past several months I have made it a point to coordinate our visits with Dr. Park's schedule at Long Lake. She is not only very skilled at a veterinarian but it is easy to tell that she is sincerely concerned about the well-being of our dear pets. She has a very calm and professional manner and always take the time to provide detailed explanations regarding our pets' health. I hope that Dr. Park plans to stay in the Tampa area for the long term as I love having her as my vet.

I'm very new to the dog/puppy world and didn't know what to expect from a vet. I thought I would get pushed to purchase a bunch of un needed things. But I have to say my experience with Dr. Park was wonderful she was super nice and very sweet to my puppy. Dr. Park even called to check up on her! I'm totally happy with their service and the staff was totally nice! We even got a picture with a huge bunny they have. :)

My fury baby Axle (1 1/2 year old Boston terrier) had a 7 night stay at animal wellness. I had high anxiety due to never boarding him before but can say the staff went above and beyond what I even expected. I received daily updates, pictures to how axle was doing and they kept him on the same schedule I have him on for feelings and going to the bathroom. During the day they even had axle up front with them to help greet other clients coming in as well. I felt better boarding him at the vets cause if anything did go wrong I knew Dr. Hong would have taken good care of him. I can be a high maintenance client because I wanted axle to be treated the same as I treat him and they did just that. :) He was returned to me in amazing condition (health and happiness) and no bad habits. I know Axle will be happy to go back and see his new friends his made when I go on vacation again. Thank you to all the staff at animal wellness for going above and beyond for Axle and me..

My 8 year old cat was acting strange last night. Would not eat, making weird noises and running crazy through the house. I took her to the office on a Saturday morning at 8am (when they open). I waited for about a half hour for DR. Hong to get in and he saw her first thing. She had a broken, infected tooth. They took great care of her. DR. Hong and his staff were very professional, courteous, friendly and the facility was welcoming and clean. Dr. Hong went over her bloodwork with me line by line in great detail. I will be going back.

If there's something wrong he will point it out right away so don't have to worry about hidden mysteries. Previously I went to Banfield at Petsmart, won't even go there. But anyway this is a good small practice & they work with you!!

What a great experience. I tried several vets in the area after moving from our home town, and they were looking for triple the price for the same procedure. During our emergency the doctor was there for, treated us fairly and took into account our dogs well being as she is senior and 15 years old. We could not be more pleased with the cleanliness, friendly and informative staff, and great Doctor. We are glad we gave your service a chance, and we will be coming back as our normal vet throughout the years to come.

The staff at Animal Wellness is very friendly and I trust them with my pets' care. Their rates are reasonable, and they are great about calling with follow-up information. Recently Dr. Hong brought on an associate, Dr. Seohye Park, and she has certainly maintained Dr. Hong's long-standing tradition of excellent care. For the past several months I have made it a point to coordinate our visits with Dr. Park's schedule at Long Lake. She is not only very skilled at a veterinarian but it is easy to tell that she is sincerely concerned about the well-being of our dear pets. She has a very calm and professional manner and always take the time to provide detailed explanations regarding our pets' health. I hope that Dr. Park plans to stay in the Tampa area for the long term as I love having her as my vet.

I'm very new to the dog/puppy world and didn't know what to expect from a vet. I thought I would get pushed to purchase a bunch of un needed things. But I have to say my experience with Dr. Park was wonderful she was super nice and very sweet to my puppy. Dr. Park even called to check up on her! I'm totally happy with their service and the staff was totally nice! We even got a picture with a huge bunny they have. :)

They were able to verify that she had bronchitis due to the cavities in two of her teeth. They safely removed her teeth the next day. This is going to be the new family vet clinic. My fury baby Axle (1 1/2 year old Boston terrier) had a 7 night stay at animal wellness. I had high anxiety due to never boarding him before but can say the staff went above and beyond what I even expected. I received daily updates, pictures to how axle was doing and they kept him on the same schedule I have him on for feelings and going to the bathroom. During the day they even had axle up front with them to help greet other clients coming in as well. I felt better boarding him at the vets cause if anything did go wrong I knew Dr. Hong would have taken good care of him. I can be a high maintenance client because I wanted axle to be treated the same as I treat him and they did just that. :) He was returned to me in amazing condition (health and happiness) and no bad habits. I know Axle will be happy to go back and see his new friends his made when I go on vacation again. Thank you to all the staff at animal wellness for going above and beyond for Axle and me..

My 8 year old cat was acting strange last night. Would not eat, making weird noises and running crazy through the house. I took her to the office on a Saturday morning at 8am (when they open). I waited for about a half hour for DR. Hong to get in and he saw her first thing. She had a broken, infected tooth. They took great care of her. DR. Hong and his staff were very professional, courteous, friendly and the facility was welcoming and clean. Dr. Hong went over her bloodwork with me line by line in great detail. I will be going back.

We have been coming here since Rosco (fur baby) was a few weeks old. Dr Hong doesn't say to much but looks the dog over & provide the necessary care. If there's something wrong he will point it out right away so don't have to worry about hidden mysteries. Previously I went to Banfield at Petsmart, won't even go there. But anyway this is a good small practice & they work with you!!

What a great experience. I tried several vets in the area after moving from our home town, and they were looking for triple the price for the same procedure. During our emergency the doctor was there for, treated us fairly and took into account our dogs well being as she is senior and 15 years old. We could not be more pleased with the cleanliness, friendly and informative staff, and great Doctor. We are glad we gave your service a chance, and we will be coming back as our normal vet throughout the years to come.

Dr. Hong is the only vet my pet will ever go to! He is great with my cat and takes care of all of his needs. His staff are so warm and friendly with all. Definitely recommend him to everyone!

If you are not able to go to the Wesley Chapel office there is another one in Tampa on Florida Avenue. Dr.Hong is an amazing vet! He definitely goes above and beyond the call of duty. The staff were also very sweet! I recommend him to anybody that loves their pet.
