This paragraph reacts to Kaylyn B's response to my initial review, which follows below. It is an outright lie that Dr. Baker wrote me letters regarding her past care of my cats. I never received anything from her in spite of stopping by her clinic on more then one occasion, numerous unanswered phone messages l left and even a written letter I mailed to her personally. What little contact I received was during phone calls I initiated when her staff inadvertently picked up not knowing it was me calling. I never asked that Dr. Baker lie, do anything illegal or even offer any specific details, only that she confirm her past true relationship with my cats.______________________________________________________________________________I've learned the hard way what many others have written about Baker Veterinary Clinic;IT'S ONLY ABOUT THE MONEY!Since 2011, when I moved to Palm Beach county, I have never taken my cats anywhere else for their medical care, including a period of longer then a year when one of my cats saw Dr. Baker almost weekly for treatment, medications and extensive tests for chronic renal failure; and in another instance when a different cat saw her for many months for conjunctivitis related to feline herpes syndrome. Without exaggeration I have spent well over $5,000 at the Baker Clinic during this time. And, until recently, I even purchased all of my cat's expensive food, prescribed by Dr. Baker herself, from the clinic's pharmacy. My cats are exclusively indoors and live in a third floor apartment. As a retiree living on a fixed income, it has always been necessary for me to be prudent and conservative regarding my finances. So I've had to say no to some vaccinations, routine exams, tests and X-rays when there was no indication they were truly necessary. I dearly love my cats and know them well, always (successfully) relying on my personal judgements and instincts regarding their wellness, but when I did feel it was necessary, never hesitating to bring them to Dr. Baker. This approach has served them well. They are in outstanding health and approaching their senior years with no medical issues. Now I am about to move to a new apartment where the management office requires documentation that my cats are under veterinary care. They do not require specifics or details of exams, tests, inoculations, etc., only confirmation that a relationship with a veterinarian exists. But, in spite of the past seven plus years, Dr. Baker has refused to provide this documentation unless she first re-exams and treats the cats, at my expense. She has even denied my request for a copy of medical records for services, tests and medications provided in the past.I am moving locally and told Dr. Baker that I intended to continue my association with her practice after my relocation. But her greedy desperation has been a lesson well learned. I no longer believe that the care received from her is motivated by achieving the good health and well being of her patients, but rather is driven by maximizing profits, even at the expense of pets she is entrusted with. I have found a new veterinarian. Read Less
