The Dr.s and staff are great. Dr Stephanie saved my Littles, she was misdiagnosed with FIP which is a death sentence. Littles is only 2yr old who actually only had heart disease witch we can live with on medication, There is a chance that it can be TMT (transient myocardial thickening) when rechecking her in 6mos Dr Stephanie is very knowledgeable and took the time to completely examine Littles and rule out FIP, We would have euthanized Littles if we had not had a second opinion from Dr Stephanie. I have been taking my cat here for many years and have always been extremely happy with the staff and the care my cat receives. The doctors as well as the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The doctors seem to really care about my cat, which means a lot to me. They are also very good at explaining things to me so that I always understand what is going on with my cat. Dr. Jeff and Dr. Stephanie are the BEST! My cats who hate the vet seem relaxed and comfortable with both doctors. They are through and kind. Some of these other reviews say they were rude and uncaring. I have never seen this from anyone at the clinic. I even brought my mom a few times who is super annoying and overprotective of my cats. Both doctors were patient and understanding with all of her concerns. They also have both my very elderly kitties stable and happy for the reminder of their lives. We have a four year old cat who has had a lot of medical issues from the day we found her, when she fit in our palm. She and my 15 year old have a very special bond so each time other vets have suggested putting her down for these issues, we requested they give her medical treatment, no matter the cost. We recently transferred her care to Dr. Stephanie Karpf and now credit her with saving our cat's life. Through the years our previous vet would not spay her due to her condition. No one ever warned us that this may be a serious risk for her, for many reasons. Dr Karpf spent an hour with me and my husband reviewing pros and cons of spaying and ultimately what to watch for if we decided to not spay her.  We decided to not put her at risk but to monitor her for the potential consequences. Due to Dr Karpf's information and warning of pyometra, when we noticed last week that she was not acting normally and seemed to have fluid leaking from her, we knew exactly what it was and that time was of the essence. My cat died three days after they performed surgery on her little paw.  I believe they knew that she had an aortic embolism the day of the surgery a Friday and allowed me to take her home in that condition.  She suffered all weekend and I had to put my 14 year old girl down on Monday and it certainly was not there.Stephanie is rude, and money hungry. I wouldn't trust For Cats Only with a cockroach.  I thought I had the found the best -- nevertheless I found the very worst probably in Florida.Beware. Read Less

Our visit at For Cats Only with Dr. Jeff was fine, expensive, but fine. Unfortunately after our first visit we were scheduled with Dr. Stephanie Karpf. She was rude, demeaning, harsh and unpleasant. She talked down my mother-in-law for a simple miscommunication. After trying to treat my cat for a disease they labeled her with, she didn't seem to be getting better. So they had us come in every two weeks, to charge us and tell us to keep coming back. Unfortunately, my cat never got better. After two months of this treatment my 9 year old cat showed no progress. She began vomiting so the vets in all their wisdom presicrbed her a medication meant for dogs. Dogs. A cat clinic gave my cat, dog medicine. Suddenly my Kitty's kidney started failing. Dr. Jeff said we should bring her in in the morning for a check up, when we arrived Dr. Stephanie told us we had never made an appointment. After telling us to go to the hospital for an iv drip, and telling my husband he was "wrong" and "rude", we decided we were done with For Cats Only (should probably be renamed For Our Profit Only). We took our kitty to a different vet where we treated her for kidney failure. For Cats Only sent over our files, but not without Dr. Stephanie attaching a unpleasant note, stating that we "weren't willing to pay thousands of dollars to treat" our cat. This coming from a woman we had already give over a thousand dollars to, to treat our cat, with zero success. We were simply looking for a better option than the hospital she was trying to send us to, that she said could cost us up to $5000! We did find somewhere to HELP our kitty. Somewhere that cared. Somewhere we weren't being belittled and talked down to. I would never recommend For Cats Only to anyone. I would tell you to stay far away. It was nothing but a horrible exprerience. Read Less

What an amazing team.Our cat started peeing blood all of a sudden so we called For Cats Only.What a blessing.The receptionists are so kind and loving and the doctors are knowledgeable and super caring. They performed the surgery so well that after only three weeks there is barely any scarring left on the belly.Our cat is super anxious but with Dr. Stephanie he feels safe and acts totally chill. I wish I could give them 10 stars! My Siamese cat was dying and we called our family vet. They made no effort to get us in. We called For Cats Only and they got us in immediately. Last year was our first time wintering in North Palm Beach with our four Burmese cats and my biggest worry was finding a GREAT veterinarian who was as wonderful as my veterinarian in CT. We worked with our CT veterinarian to select a cat only practice. I literally called eight different practices and none of them were willing to partner with my CT vet on the existing treatment regimen. I was amazed from the very first call at how warm, friendly and caring the team at For Cats Only was to me when I called and explained my requirements. I have three senior cats and they have a lot of pre-existing conditions which are very complicated. The staff worked to get all of their files in advance of each visit and contacted my CT vet to get clarification on any issues to ensure there was complete continuity of care and to ensure there were no gaps in diagnosing our cats or disrupting the treatment regimen. Dr. Stephanie goes out of her way to call for follow up checks in between appointments and we exchange emails over the week-end (with pictures of my cats recovering calamities) so Dr. can advise me on how to proceed. Whenever I go to the office, we get such attention and I always feel the staff and Drs. Stephanie and Jeff are only (only) focused on my babies. I had no idea I would meet such wonderful people who are always eager to go the extra mile to do all they can for my cats and for me. Not too many veterinarians would work with an out of state colleague to ensure continuity of care. There was never any hesitation by Drs. Stephanie and Jeff Karpf to call our CT veterinarian (Dr. Dupont at Catzablanca) to consult on care and to inquire about my cat’s history. IF I COULD PUT 0 stars I would because these vets are no good at all!!Dr Faigen is retired. The practice is owned by a married couple (Dr. Jeff and Dr. Stephanie Karpf) We switched to them knowing that they only specialize in cats and we have 3. Overall, THESE TWO ARE QUACKS ESPECIALLY DR. JEFF. If your cat has a pre-existing condition and has of a treatment regimen that works DONT LET THEM CHANGE IT!! THEY DID WITH ONE OF OUR CATS AND IT ALMOST KILLED HIM. WE went through hell and burned cash thanks to Dr Jeff. One of our cats a Siamese was symptomatic to "megacolon," and was already under a regimen of fiber rich food and medications. Dr. Jeff knew this if he read that in his records but while he was making a change to his diet from dry to wet food he took him off the Fiber. BAD CALL and the part that pisses me off the most is that he did not own up to his mistake. No apology, remorse, NOTHING!!God forbid your cat has a serious problem just before a holiday weekend. One of ours stopped eating or drinking and was miserable on Friday of labor day weekend. Dr. Jeff did not see it serious enough to bring in. His response was that there was nothing he can do. Our cat ended up in the ER TWICE and cost us approx $5000.00 dollars! Thank you Dr. Jeff!Doctors are not accommodating in any way whatsoever. My wife had car trouble one day and had to take all 3 in to board so she can go to work and even though we lived 8 minutes away they said there's nothing they can do. Their response was if they knew sooner they would have sent a car service for her. Really? I was adopted by the neighborhood cat and I brought him to For Cats Only for a check up. At the time Dr. Faigen was on vacation. The attending veterinarian was very helpful and kind. She gave Fido a thorough exam and the necessary shots to bring him up to date. Months later Fido got into a fight with another animal and this time Dr. Faigen was in the house. Though his day was booked he made time to see Fido. He and his staff have taken such good care of my cat. I'm delighted to write a 5-star review so other cat owners know where to take their cats. Dr Faigan and all of his staff are the only professionals I trust my with my furr childrens lives. My cats and I have been seeing him since 1995. all I can say is they are loving, caring, and my cats recieve the best medical/health care...better than what I can get from my mutliple doctors! I have had five cats with Dr Faigan so far and two are still surviving...The compassion I and my family have recieved with Dr Faigand and his staff is very much appreciated and I value him as the 2nd most important person in my cats lives (me being the 1st).
