UPDATE: This edit is in response to the clinic and their review is not factually accurate.I posted this review on 7/24 BEFORE Dr. Sharpe called which is why I never mentioned it. He called my cell so I have the exact date, time, and call duration. We did NOT have a "lengthy conversation"; he called me on 7/24 at 6:03 PM and it lasted 2 mins. Yes, he did prescribe her a new medication and I agreed. However, after the call, I told my husband what Dr. Sharpe stated and we decided we still wanted to find another clinic. The next day on 7/25 at 2:37 PM, I called the clinic and asked that the new medication Dr. Sharpe prescribe be cancelled and whoever I talked to just said they would. On 7/27 at 9:37 AM, Dr. Sharpe called me again and this time we had a lengthy conversation. I discussed with him my concerns and that I no longer wanted to bring my dog to his clinic. He apologized and I told him that I wasn't actually upset at him, it was his staff and I couldn't bring my dog to a clinic that showed no concern of her well-being. Everything was fine after I talked to him, I moved on from it and found a new vet clinic but now reading their response, it actually pisses me off even more. You want to talk about not being "factually accurate" read your own response. Do your job correctly and stop placing blame on someone else. There were never any messages left "multiple times" and never has there been "every attempt possible to effectively communicate with the client regarding her pet's medical care".******************************************************Like most pet parents, I researched a ton to find a good vet for my new adopted dog and came across this clinic. My poor girl had skin and anxiety issues. Dr. Sharpe was our vet and after explaining my concerns he stated she could have a thyroid problem or dry/itchy skin and suggested blood work, vitamin E supplements, and medication to help with the itching. There was no mention of any treatment for her anxiety. The vet tech stated she would call me the next day with the results even though it was a Saturday. Sat. and the following Mon. came and went and I never heard from them. I called them on both days and just kept being told they didn't have the results. On Tues. or Wed. I called and was told they had the results but Dr. Sharpe was going to call me personally. He did apologize for the delay and all her tests came back normal. I brought up her anxiety again and he suggested meds and stated that I shouldn't except any results for at least 6-8 weeks. So, 1 visit, blood work, and 2 meds cost me over $300.I've been giving her the anxiety meds but her behavior wasn't any different so on 7/13 I called the clinic and told them that Dr. Sharpe said wait 6-8 weeks and I should be close to that 8 week point but no improvement so I wanted to know what I should do. Whomever I spoke to, a female, said she would ask Dr. Sharpe and would call back. Got nothing. I called the next day, spoke to a male, explained again and he told me he would call me back. Again, nothing. On 7/18 I called the clinic once more, spoke to the same female from the first call, she told me she left me a voicemail and Dr. Sharpe said her medication would now take 3-4 months not the 6-8 weeks he initially told me. I asked her if there was no change after being on the meds for 2 months should I continue or try something else. She promised to call me before the end of the day. Guess what, it's now 7/24 and no one has called me.I never received a voicemail, I even went as far as contacting my cell phone carrier about receiving a call and there's no record. How in the world is a vet clinic so unprofessional and uncaring for the well-being of animals. I'm actually really pissed off about this whole situation and I'm not going to continue to hunt people down to get responses when they show no concern whatsoever in my dog. She's now done with her meds and I have no answers. I don't recommend this clinic to anyone, common curiosity should be a given especially when you have a concerned pet parent. Read Less
