We offer a full range of surgical and medical procedures. Dr. Raposo sees dogs and cats, and Dr. Porcher sees dogs and cats as well as exotics including birds, reptiles and small mammals. We offer same day in-house blood testing, digital x rays, a wide variety of general surgeries including emergency surgeries and full dental procedures as well as non-anesthetic dental procedures. Dr. Porcher is a native Floridian, he was born and raised in West Palm Beach and has been practicing for 24 years. Dr.Raposo was born in Texas, raised in Massachusetts and is now making South Florida his home. Both doctors are graduates of the University of Florida -- Go Gators! We aim to be your primary care veterinary clinic, taking care of your pets from your first puppy/kitten visit to their geriatric years. We pride ourselves on compassionate care for both you and your pets. You will always find a familiar face as often times we are seeing second and third generations. This personal feel translates into us being able to treat you and your pets like they are truly one of our family. We will strive to not only make you happy, but make you clients for life.

My cat passed away after routine dental surgery while a patient at Shores Animal Clinic. The vet who performed the surgery was Brenda Theodore, DVM, who was only licensed for 8 months at the time of the procedure. This took place on Valentine’s Day – a holiday for the staff, everyone wanting to get out on time to celebrate, either preoccupied or short-staffed, no one diligently checked on Robinson, his stats, or his condition from the time he got out of surgery until the time I was to pick him up - left in a cage on his own to suffer and ultimately die.
I questioned Dr. Theodore how this occurred, how did Robinson die from a routine dental procedure. How could this happen when bloodwork was completed that morning in order to clear Robinson for surgery and Dr. Theodore decided from those results to proceed forward with surgery. I questioned where his location post-op was and whether his stats were being monitored. I was shown a cage where Robinson was placed during recovery. There were no machines, no monitoring devices, just a towel and a cage where he was placed post op.
I obtained an autopsy that showed my cat did not have any underlying health condition that caused his sudden death. He died from hyperthermia and choking on mucus – he was not properly monitored post-surgery.
I can deal with a sick Robinson, or an aging Robinson but that wasn’t the case here. I will always remember Valentine’s Day as the day an inexperienced veterinarian laxed on her duty in caring for a living being, along with the entire staff of Shores Animal Clinic, in monitoring him post-operative. I blame both Dr. Theodore due to her inexperience as she was only licensed since June 2021 and I also blame the head veterinarian, Dr. Porcher, who has been licensed since 1991, as he nor any other senior veterinarian supervised a brand-new graduate. With Dr. Theodore having graduated during COVID, this tells me that most of her clinical experience was limited and most likely completed online which also contributes to Robinson’s death. Dr. Theodore chose a profession where she should protect the health of every animal, but she failed miserably.
Shores website states “Our compassionate and caring professionals monitor your pet before, during, and after surgery and take exceptional care to ensure your pet's safety and complete recovery.” And for Anesthesia their website claims - “We take anesthesia cases very seriously and utilize a safe, multi-modal approach for each animal we treat. We use a combination of pre-op assessments, modern anesthetic agents, and the latest anesthetic monitoring equipment to keep your pet safe and the risks of surgery low. Our recovering pet patients have fewer side effects, complete pain relief, and faster postoperative recovery.” Sadly, my Robinson was not afforded that care while under their care and supervision. Where was the monitoring equipment when he was left alone in a cage post op?
When I dropped Robinson off that day, I did not think I would have to worry about a professional organization potentially not doing its job and ultimately killing the most important family member of my two-person household.

This vet came recommended to us by two people. I had to bring our 12 year old dog in for lumps I found on his neck. Turned out he had cancer. He was gone within 3 weeks of diagnosis. We saw Dr. Raposo who was nothing short of kind and amazing. Gave me the hard truth but in the most gentle way. I was devastated the morning we decided to put Bond down. I called and Dr. Raposo wasn't in. We debated for a long time about taking him that day or trying to wait but our dog was suffering. We saw Dr. Skinner who put our dog down. He was so kind and let us go at our own pace. We had never been through it before so he gently explained everything that would happen. For the horrible experience it was, they made it so peaceful and sweet. Yesterday we received a sympathy card and handwritten note from Dr. Skinner. These guys seriously just love animals and really go the extra mile. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Such an amazing experience. I was referred by a family member. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with smiles. We were there for the first time as an emergency due to bowel obstruction. I called at 830am and they had an apt for 9am. My pup is 12yrs and has had no need for a vet previous to this. I was nervous for any criticism for not bringing her for annual visits. Thankful my worries were unfounded. Everyone from Dr Skinner to the front desk were a breath of fresh air during a stressful situation. I will drive past the 10 other vets that are near my home to go to this location. The office is clean and very well designed to accommodate all pets and their owners. I'm grateful for their reasonable pricing to help my fur-baby without breaking the bank. You won't find a better location to bring your pet. Dr P. Is so knowledgeable and his years of experience helped my parents when dealing with senior dogs and their needs.

They also have extreme compassion for the human clients, knowing these animals are our babies. As long as I live in Palm Beach County, Shores will be my choice for veterinary care. Recently one of my dogs Max, a greyhound rescue, was playing with my labrador in the backyard and collided with the branch of a firebush plant. He hit the branch hard enough to peel his outer layer of skin back on one side from the top of his back to the middle of his abdomen. The tear was over a foot long, about a foot wide, and exposed his entire inner skin. I have never seen anything like it, and I have spent six years in the medical field. I immediately pulled his skin back up as much as possible, wrapped it in an ace bandage, and took off for the vet calling them enroute to tell them of my emergency.
Although this was a horrible thing to happen there was some good luck mixed in because it was good luck, an act of providence, or an incredibly fortunate coincidence that Dr. Raposo, one of the vets at Shores Animal Clinic, happened to be the vet that treated Max. Dr. Raposo, using his incredible skill, talent, and experience was able to stitch Max back up, using over 150 stitches and staples, and put Max back on the road to recovery. If you had seen the wound you would understand just how severe this wound was however Max is now on the road to recovery and I am very grateful that Dr. Raposo saved him.
My point in telling this story is that from this awful experience I was able to meet the staff at and learn about Shores Animal Clinic.
I have years and years of experience going to various vets and clinics and I must tell you that this is by far the best animal clinic I have ever been lucky enough to find.
Dr Raposo is one of the vets at Shores Animal Clinic and is one of the nicest and most talented vets that I have ever met. His professionalism and talent is of the highest order. I know that the other vets at Shores Animal Clinic are excellent as well as I ran into a former work colleague and they explained how much they liked the other vets at Shores and how they drive quite a distance to use Shores Animal Clinic.
One of the great points about Shores Animal Clinic is that the staff that supports the doctors is absolutely top notch. I've never seen a more professional, caring, and "on the ball" staff than I saw at Shores Animal Clinic. They are very pleasant when they greet you, they are organized and know who you are and why you're there, and you can tell that they really do care about your situation and will do everything they can to assist you as kindly, quickly, and efficiently as possible.
Finally, the clinic itself is the cleanest and best looking clinics I've ever been in. The examination rooms are large, the equipment is clean and modern, there's pictures on the wall that are current, and everything gives you a feeling that you're going to get the best care possible and they do all of this at very reasonable prices.
If you are looking for a clinic that has excellent veterinarians, has an excellent staff, has great examination rooms, and you know when you leave that you made a great choice to go there, then I highly recommend Shores Animal Hospital.

The level of care I received here really impressed me. I brought my pet rat in to see Dr. Porcher when she developed tumors on her abdomen. He was very knowledgeable and honest with me, and also experienced with the surgery that she needed. Due to my circumstances at the time, I felt that he really went out of his way to accommodate me and help my baby. The prices were good as well, without the extra charges that some vets have given me before. If you have small fur babies I would highly recommend bringing them here.

I have been taking my two cats to Shores Animal Clinic for almost two years now. I switched from another vet's office that was disorganized, expensive, and had rude staff. Shores is the complete opposite. The staff from the receptionist to vet techs to the vets are all wonderful and compassionate people. They accommodate the appointments with my work schedule. They are extremely organized and timely with their services. Very affordable as well. I have taken my cats here for a dental cleaning, yearly check-up, spots in her eyes, and so on. When it was time for my elderly kitty of 19 years to move on, I was moved by the genuine compassion of the staff. It was a devastating time for me and they truly made it easier. When I received her box of ashes, they added tender items and love to the box. These people genuinely care about your animals and I 100% recommend them.

I was told that he had cancer even though they never did a biopsy or other test to confirm this.They never gave me treatment options and in the end I lost my cat who was only 10 years old.Dr. Mike Raposo is a handsome inexperienced young person assuming too much without having all the facts including putting blame on my level of care which I found very offensive and completely false.Brenda needs to find a new job because she hasn't got a ounce of humility or compassion in her body.I respect doctor Porsche and we've had a 15 year relationship that has sadly to come to an end due to the negligence and cavalier attitude of both Brenda and Mike.

We have been coming here for over a year for the care of our Great Dane and we absolutely love it! We followed Dr. Mike Raposo to SAC after meeting him at another clinic. After seeing how he was so well informed about the proper care for a Great Dane (since they aren't the same as other breeds in many ways) we just couldn't lose him as a vet. We love that you know all of the staff and that it isn't constantly changing. Everyone is friendly and professional. I highly suggest this facility .. especially over our previous vet, VCA.

I have very mixed emotions regarding Dr. Porcher. I brought my 6 year old Havanese, Mitzi, to Dr. Porcher for a routine teeth cleaning. She had just had her teeth cleaned 18 months before with no issues or extractions. The doctor pre-examined her and said there would probably be 5 or 6 extractions. I agreed that was fine if necessary. When I returned to get her after the anesthesia had worn off, I was shocked that the bill was twice the amount predicted and when I questioned why, I was told it was because of all of the extractions.....16 teeth were pulled!! I was, of course, extremely distraught, and called the next morning wanting some kind of reassurance and proof that this was necessary. I asked to receive the teeth extracted and told that they were immediately trashed. I asked to see the X-rays taken and told that none were taken. The doctor insisted that she was in pain and that the extractions were necessary. I am sending this review reluctantly, because the doctor is, from other's accounts, very competent and caring but should have at least, called me before making this irreversible decision on his own , without my permission. I would have had X-rays taken or gotten a second opinion, In his defense, he did reduce the bill and after 3 months and threatening to go to our local TV trouble-shooter, he refunded me a portion of the bill $313. Unfortunately, that money can't replace Mitzi's teeth. When I received the check , I asked him, in the future to please contact the owner first if there was such an extreme number of extractions and he said that he would. In conscience, I felt that it was compulsory for me to make other dog owners aware of this experience so that they don't experience a similar nightmare and definitely be involved in the decision if the situation is that severe.

My kitten was just spayed there, and today I had my (sweet ) dog's teeth cleaned without anesthetics. Everything has worked out perfectly. I am 100% confident in Dr. Porcher's professional ability. Dr. Porcher is the best Vet around. He cares deeply about the animals and the owners. He has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. He has been vet to my dogs, cats, and a bearded dragon, and leopard gecko. Once we even took an injured wild bird to him, he sent us in the right direction (Bush Wildlife). The staff are friendly and efficient. Dr. Porcher Loves the animals, you can tell! That means a lot when you know he is caring for your family member. I would highly recommend him and his clinic. I have been going there for the past 21 years. Even my Gizmoe ( who hates all grown ups- outside of family ) loves him. He is also a great surgeon! The office is always clean and smells good. Products are neatly stored and easy to find. The whole experience puts you at ease knowing you've found someone you can trust to care for the important people ( pets ) in your life. You just have to go to see what I mean. I can't say enough good things about it.

Unfortunately, I had to reschedule twice because of a sickness which required hospitalization. I called and each time but they had no record of the 2nd time so they called me the Saturday before my apt. (Monday) and told me I was not welcome to come with my lizard - had the apt. for about 2 weeks. Wow. I'm not in the habit of writing bad reviews, but this really surprised me. From the other reviews I read, I thought this doctor was all about the animals. Not very understanding about an emergency situation. :(

Our 4 year old rabbit was dying. She had gotten sick so very fast. Our usual vet is in Wellington close to our home. My vet was supposed to be open at 8 am and was not answering the phone nor were they in the office when they were scheduled to be there. My oldest daughter has a friend that has taken her sick dog to shores clinic and was happy with their service so she took our rabbit Theo over here with my youngest daughter. I unfortunately could not get out of work.The doctor here took them right away, was very kind and considerate to my daughters and my rabbit. He called me on the phone and unfortunately suggested we put Theo to sleep. He did offer antibiotics and fluids but because of her quick deterioration, he suggested to kindly euthanize her . We were very upset. Theo was such a great part of our family. We decided that was the right thing to do and he was kind to my daughter who was very very upset . About a week later we received a beautiful hand written letter of his sympathy and applauded us for humanely making the right decision to not let her suffer. It made me cry, again.. We did cremate theo. We received a beautiful wooden box with a memorial which we were very pleased with and will cherish forever.My vet has yet to even call me back to see what was wrong .

We offer a full range of surgical and medical procedures. Dr. Raposo sees dogs and cats, and Dr. Porcher sees dogs and cats as well as exotics including birds, reptiles and small mammals. We offer same day in-house blood testing, digital x rays, a wide variety of general surgeries including emergency surgeries and full dental procedures as well as non-anesthetic dental procedures. Dr. Porcher is a native Floridian, he was born and raised in West Palm Beach and has been practicing for 24 years. Dr.Raposo was born in Texas, raised in Massachusetts and is now making South Florida his home. Both doctors are graduates of the University of Florida -- Go Gators! We aim to be your primary care veterinary clinic, taking care of your pets from your first puppy/kitten visit to their geriatric years. We pride ourselves on compassionate care for both you and your pets. You will always find a familiar face as often times we are seeing second and third generations. This personal feel translates into us being able to treat you and your pets like they are truly one of our family. We will strive to not only make you happy, but make you clients for life.

My cat passed away after routine dental surgery while a patient at Shores Animal Clinic. The vet who performed the surgery was Brenda Theodore, DVM, who was only licensed for 8 months at the time of the procedure. This took place on Valentine’s Day – a holiday for the staff, everyone wanting to get out on time to celebrate, either preoccupied or short-staffed, no one diligently checked on Robinson, his stats, or his condition from the time he got out of surgery until the time I was to pick him up - left in a cage on his own to suffer and ultimately die.
I questioned Dr. Theodore how this occurred, how did Robinson die from a routine dental procedure. How could this happen when bloodwork was completed that morning in order to clear Robinson for surgery and Dr. Theodore decided from those results to proceed forward with surgery. I questioned where his location post-op was and whether his stats were being monitored. I was shown a cage where Robinson was placed during recovery. There were no machines, no monitoring devices, just a towel and a cage where he was placed post op.
I obtained an autopsy that showed my cat did not have any underlying health condition that caused his sudden death. He died from hyperthermia and choking on mucus – he was not properly monitored post-surgery.
I can deal with a sick Robinson, or an aging Robinson but that wasn’t the case here. I will always remember Valentine’s Day as the day an inexperienced veterinarian laxed on her duty in caring for a living being, along with the entire staff of Shores Animal Clinic, in monitoring him post-operative. I blame both Dr. Theodore due to her inexperience as she was only licensed since June 2021 and I also blame the head veterinarian, Dr. Porcher, who has been licensed since 1991, as he nor any other senior veterinarian supervised a brand-new graduate. With Dr. Theodore having graduated during COVID, this tells me that most of her clinical experience was limited and most likely completed online which also contributes to Robinson’s death. Dr. Theodore chose a profession where she should protect the health of every animal, but she failed miserably.
Shores website states “Our compassionate and caring professionals monitor your pet before, during, and after surgery and take exceptional care to ensure your pet's safety and complete recovery.” And for Anesthesia their website claims - “We take anesthesia cases very seriously and utilize a safe, multi-modal approach for each animal we treat. We use a combination of pre-op assessments, modern anesthetic agents, and the latest anesthetic monitoring equipment to keep your pet safe and the risks of surgery low. Our recovering pet patients have fewer side effects, complete pain relief, and faster postoperative recovery.” Sadly, my Robinson was not afforded that care while under their care and supervision. Where was the monitoring equipment when he was left alone in a cage post op?
When I dropped Robinson off that day, I did not think I would have to worry about a professional organization potentially not doing its job and ultimately killing the most important family member of my two-person household.

This vet came recommended to us by two people. I had to bring our 12 year old dog in for lumps I found on his neck. Turned out he had cancer. He was gone within 3 weeks of diagnosis. We saw Dr. Raposo who was nothing short of kind and amazing. Gave me the hard truth but in the most gentle way. I was devastated the morning we decided to put Bond down. I called and Dr. Raposo wasn't in. We debated for a long time about taking him that day or trying to wait but our dog was suffering. We saw Dr. Skinner who put our dog down. He was so kind and let us go at our own pace. We had never been through it before so he gently explained everything that would happen. For the horrible experience it was, they made it so peaceful and sweet. Yesterday we received a sympathy card and handwritten note from Dr. Skinner. These guys seriously just love animals and really go the extra mile. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Such an amazing experience. I was referred by a family member. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with smiles. We were there for the first time as an emergency due to bowel obstruction. I called at 830am and they had an apt for 9am. My pup is 12yrs and has had no need for a vet previous to this. I was nervous for any criticism for not bringing her for annual visits. Thankful my worries were unfounded. Everyone from Dr Skinner to the front desk were a breath of fresh air during a stressful situation. I will drive past the 10 other vets that are near my home to go to this location. The office is clean and very well designed to accommodate all pets and their owners. I'm grateful for their reasonable pricing to help my fur-baby without breaking the bank. You won't find a better location to bring your pet. Dr P. Is so knowledgeable and his years of experience helped my parents when dealing with senior dogs and their needs.

Recently one of my dogs Max, a greyhound rescue, was playing with my labrador in the backyard and collided with the branch of a firebush plant. He hit the branch hard enough to peel his outer layer of skin back on one side from the top of his back to the middle of his abdomen. The tear was over a foot long, about a foot wide, and exposed his entire inner skin. I have never seen anything like it, and I have spent six years in the medical field. I immediately pulled his skin back up as much as possible, wrapped it in an ace bandage, and took off for the vet calling them enroute to tell them of my emergency.
Although this was a horrible thing to happen there was some good luck mixed in because it was good luck, an act of providence, or an incredibly fortunate coincidence that Dr. Raposo, one of the vets at Shores Animal Clinic, happened to be the vet that treated Max. Dr. Raposo, using his incredible skill, talent, and experience was able to stitch Max back up, using over 150 stitches and staples, and put Max back on the road to recovery. If you had seen the wound you would understand just how severe this wound was however Max is now on the road to recovery and I am very grateful that Dr. Raposo saved him.
My point in telling this story is that from this awful experience I was able to meet the staff at and learn about Shores Animal Clinic.
I have years and years of experience going to various vets and clinics and I must tell you that this is by far the best animal clinic I have ever been lucky enough to find.
Dr Raposo is one of the vets at Shores Animal Clinic and is one of the nicest and most talented vets that I have ever met. His professionalism and talent is of the highest order. I know that the other vets at Shores Animal Clinic are excellent as well as I ran into a former work colleague and they explained how much they liked the other vets at Shores and how they drive quite a distance to use Shores Animal Clinic.
One of the great points about Shores Animal Clinic is that the staff that supports the doctors is absolutely top notch. I've never seen a more professional, caring, and "on the ball" staff than I saw at Shores Animal Clinic. They are very pleasant when they greet you, they are organized and know who you are and why you're there, and you can tell that they really do care about your situation and will do everything they can to assist you as kindly, quickly, and efficiently as possible.
Finally, the clinic itself is the cleanest and best looking clinics I've ever been in. The examination rooms are large, the equipment is clean and modern, there's pictures on the wall that are current, and everything gives you a feeling that you're going to get the best care possible and they do all of this at very reasonable prices.
If you are looking for a clinic that has excellent veterinarians, has an excellent staff, has great examination rooms, and you know when you leave that you made a great choice to go there, then I highly recommend Shores Animal Hospital.

The level of care I received here really impressed me. I brought my pet rat in to see Dr. Porcher when she developed tumors on her abdomen. He was very knowledgeable and honest with me, and also experienced with the surgery that she needed. Due to my circumstances at the time, I felt that he really went out of his way to accommodate me and help my baby. The prices were good as well, without the extra charges that some vets have given me before. If you have small fur babies I would highly recommend bringing them here.

I have been taking my two cats to Shores Animal Clinic for almost two years now. I switched from another vet's office that was disorganized, expensive, and had rude staff. Shores is the complete opposite. The staff from the receptionist to vet techs to the vets are all wonderful and compassionate people. They accommodate the appointments with my work schedule. They are extremely organized and timely with their services. Very affordable as well. I have taken my cats here for a dental cleaning, yearly check-up, spots in her eyes, and so on. When it was time for my elderly kitty of 19 years to move on, I was moved by the genuine compassion of the staff. It was a devastating time for me and they truly made it easier. When I received her box of ashes, they added tender items and love to the box. These people genuinely care about your animals and I 100% recommend them.

I was told that he had cancer even though they never did a biopsy or other test to confirm this.They never gave me treatment options and in the end I lost my cat who was only 10 years old.Dr. Mike Raposo is a handsome inexperienced young person assuming too much without having all the facts including putting blame on my level of care which I found very offensive and completely false.Brenda needs to find a new job because she hasn't got a ounce of humility or compassion in her body.I respect doctor Porsche and we've had a 15 year relationship that has sadly to come to an end due to the negligence and cavalier attitude of both Brenda and Mike.

We have been coming here for over a year for the care of our Great Dane and we absolutely love it! We followed Dr. Mike Raposo to SAC after meeting him at another clinic. After seeing how he was so well informed about the proper care for a Great Dane (since they aren't the same as other breeds in many ways) we just couldn't lose him as a vet. We love that you know all of the staff and that it isn't constantly changing. Everyone is friendly and professional. I highly suggest this facility .. especially over our previous vet, VCA.

I have very mixed emotions regarding Dr. Porcher. I brought my 6 year old Havanese, Mitzi, to Dr. Porcher for a routine teeth cleaning. She had just had her teeth cleaned 18 months before with no issues or extractions. The doctor pre-examined her and said there would probably be 5 or 6 extractions. I agreed that was fine if necessary. When I returned to get her after the anesthesia had worn off, I was shocked that the bill was twice the amount predicted and when I questioned why, I was told it was because of all of the extractions.....16 teeth were pulled!! I was, of course, extremely distraught, and called the next morning wanting some kind of reassurance and proof that this was necessary. I asked to receive the teeth extracted and told that they were immediately trashed. I asked to see the X-rays taken and told that none were taken. The doctor insisted that she was in pain and that the extractions were necessary. I am sending this review reluctantly, because the doctor is, from other's accounts, very competent and caring but should have at least, called me before making this irreversible decision on his own , without my permission. I would have had X-rays taken or gotten a second opinion, In his defense, he did reduce the bill and after 3 months and threatening to go to our local TV trouble-shooter, he refunded me a portion of the bill $313. Unfortunately, that money can't replace Mitzi's teeth. When I received the check , I asked him, in the future to please contact the owner first if there was such an extreme number of extractions and he said that he would. In conscience, I felt that it was compulsory for me to make other dog owners aware of this experience so that they don't experience a similar nightmare and definitely be involved in the decision if the situation is that severe.

Dr Porcher is very knowledgeable, compassionate and reasonably priced. They are three baths in stuff and many nurses which makes the visit a breeze fast period they also offer grooming and boarding. I think it is wonderful

Picking up my "baby" Daisy's meds. Last minute and they totally accommodated me! I used to come here years ago and when we moved to Delray, out of convenience, changed my vet (and never really found anyone that wowed me.) After 10 years, I'm back living in West Palm and I am So happy to be back with Shores! The same EXCELLENT service after all these years. Great Doctors. Great staff!

Amazing, friendly staff! Always so warm, inviting, accommodating and informative. I was a new puppy mom and coming to Shores definitely helped me enter puppy-parenthood.

Thank you Dr. Porcher & staff for the care and concern you've always shown for our sweet long haired chihuahua "Bear" (as well as our pit bull "Diesel" & our late boxer/bull dog "Lily" ). Bear is feeling so much better (just as you said he would) since our visit with you and we can't thank you enough for taking his pain away. For anyone who hasn't had the privilege of receiving care @ Shores Animal Clinic, I must tell you if your looking for a vet who has your pets best interests at heart above all else, you've found the right place!! Also I think it's worthy to mention that they are very reasonably priced, although for me personally it's about the genuine love, care and concern shown for my fur-babies who I consider my "other" children! Thank you again for being someone who we can always trust to take care of our babies!

My kitten was just spayed there, and today I had my (sweet ) dog's teeth cleaned without anesthetics. Everything has worked out perfectly. I am 100% confident in Dr. Porcher's professional ability. He also has a great personality. Oh, and their pricing is very reasonable. Can' beat that!

Dr. Porcher is the best Vet around. He cares deeply about the animals and the owners. He has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. He has been vet to my dogs, cats, and a bearded dragon, and leopard gecko. Once we even took an injured wild bird to him, he sent us in the right direction (Bush Wildlife). The staff are friendly and efficient. Dr. Porcher Loves the animals, you can tell! That means a lot when you know he is caring for your family member. I would highly recommend him and his clinic. I have been going there for the past 21 years. Even my Gizmoe ( who hates all grown ups- outside of family ) loves him. He is also a great surgeon! The office is always clean and smells good. Products are neatly stored and easy to find. The whole experience puts you at ease knowing you've found someone you can trust to care for the important people ( pets ) in your life. You just have to go to see what I mean. I can't say enough good things about it.

Unfortunately, I had to reschedule twice because of a sickness which required hospitalization. I called and each time but they had no record of the 2nd time so they called me the Saturday before my apt. (Monday) and told me I was not welcome to come with my lizard - had the apt. for about 2 weeks. Wow. I'm not in the habit of writing bad reviews, but this really surprised me. From the other reviews I read, I thought this doctor was all about the animals. Not very understanding about an emergency situation. :(

Our 4 year old rabbit was dying. She had gotten sick so very fast. Our usual vet is in Wellington close to our home. My vet was supposed to be open at 8 am and was not answering the phone nor were they in the office when they were scheduled to be there. My oldest daughter has a friend that has taken her sick dog to shores clinic and was happy with their service so she took our rabbit Theo over here with my youngest daughter. I unfortunately could not get out of work.The doctor here took them right away, was very kind and considerate to my daughters and my rabbit. He called me on the phone and unfortunately suggested we put Theo to sleep. He did offer antibiotics and fluids but because of her quick deterioration, he suggested to kindly euthanize her . We were very upset. Theo was such a great part of our family. We decided that was the right thing to do and he was kind to my daughter who was very very upset . About a week later we received a beautiful hand written letter of his sympathy and applauded us for humanely making the right decision to not let her suffer. It made me cry, again.. We did cremate theo. We received a beautiful wooden box with a memorial which we were very pleased with and will cherish forever.My vet has yet to even call me back to see what was wrong .

Shores Animal Clinic is a beautiful and clean facility with a very caring staff. The doctors are VERY knowledgable and keep costs reasonable. Everyone is always very helpful and friendly - I feel comfortable leaving my dog for surgery or boarding and know that they are well taken care of. EXCELLENT CLINIC!
