Dr. Cunningham and South Dixie Animal Hospital are the only place we trust to take care of our babies. We were blessed to find Dr. Cunningham over a decade ago after adopting a dog and being given her location for our free check up. We never thought that would start the incredible journey that we have been on since. My wife and I are prone to taking in dogs that are “medically needy“ and the only reason we feel comfortable doing so is because we know we have the skill and knowledge of Dr. Cunningham and SDAH to take care of them.
A few years ago the company I worked for moved from Boynton Beach to the Orlando area and my biggest concern was being so far away from Dr. Cunningham. While we decided to make the move, my fears came true not long after we settled in when one of my dogs needed surgery locally. We took her to a beautiful place close to us but she passed away the following morning. I still believe that if I could have gotten her to Dr. Cunningham things would have gone differently. Since that day we have driven three hours each way for every sniffle.
It’s not just Dr Cunningham either, the staff at SDAH is second to absolutely none. Most of the staff have been with Dr. Cunningham since the start of her career. They have been there through the good times and bad times with us, they don’t even mind all the silly questions over and over again from an overprotective dog dad.
People say it’s who you know not what you know but I believe that it’s both. Dr. Cunningham is constantly investing in continuing education and because of that as well as her collegiate success, she has trained next to the top specialists in all fields. You don’t realize how important that is until you find a cancerous lump right next to your babies eye and you need a soft tissue surgeon to very precisely remove it, thankfully Dr. Cunningham had the number of one of the best in the business and we were in the next week.
This is more than just a review, this is a testament to somebody that has devoted their life to being the greatest at something very important. If you are anywhere in the area, or even three hours away, I would highly, highly recommend South Dixie Animal Hospital, Dr. Cunningham and the entire incredible staff that will bend over backwards to make sure you and your babies are treated with love, care and respect!

Unconscionable negligence that will now be costing me multiple $1,000s of dollars to fix. They were supposed to chip a pet of mine for international travel and said they had found she already had one implanted. Then after all the travel was confirmed, apartments set up, thousands of dollars spent they say she doesn’t have a microchip anymore when it was time to do the certification. A literal impossibility, a total scam, and then had the nerve to still charge for “services rendered”. I will now be without my first dog ever who has seen my wife and I get married, is now over 10 years old, and will now have to be without us for the first time ever due to their lies. Never ever trust them with your pet.

Staff totally misdiagnosed my cat, and prescribed meds for the misdiagnosis. The wounds Johnny received from being bitten, were found by my girlfriend and the staff at a different animal hospital, AFTER the fact. South Dixie Animal Hospital staff is kind and caring. My only issue is that Johnny's misdiagnosis could have led to infection, or worst case scenario, sepsis, in which case, our handsome boy Johnny, could have died. Cammy, (his sister), Liddy, (his Mommy), and of course, me, (Johnny's Daddy), would be sad beyond belief, if we lost him. The mistake could have happened to anyone. But it happened to us. I might give S Dixie Animal Hospital another opportunity. I haven't decided yet. The upside to this whole story? I got all
Johnny's immunizations up to date, at S Dixie.

The best decision I ever made was to transfer my pet’s care to South Dixie Animal Clinic a few months ago! It starts at the front desk. Chris is fantastic. He is upbeat and makes you feel welcome. Both doctors, Dr. Cunningham and Dr. Liberman, are very friendly, knowledgeable and in the moment when they interact with my pet.
My dog started having pain in the shoulders about 6 months or so to the point where this friendly dog started to nip if you touched him. His previous vet just palpated him and suggested over the counter supplements. Dr. Cunningham took the time to slowly motion palpate his joints and figured out exactly where the problem was, his right shoulder. She prescribed some pain & anti-inflammatory meds and came up with a plan to correctly diagnose & treat his issue.
I’m really impressed with Drs. Cunningham and Liberman and I am so happy that I found a facility where I know that my pet will get proper care.

To put it simply, without Dr. Vicky Liberman my dog wouldn't be with me today. My 5 year old dog, Pearl, is deaf, epileptic and allergic to everything under the sun. Every vet I've tried in the past couldn't crack the code when it came to Pearl's allergies, more importantly her epilepsy. In July of last year, I was certain I was going to lose Pearl with the amount of seizures she was experiencing. With Dr. Liberman's patience, empathy, and knowledge, Pearl has been granted a whole new life. I haven't seen THIS dog in a long time. I chose to follow Dr. Liberman to South Dixie because she is the only Vet I trust.

Dr. Cunningham and her staff are incredible! For 2.5 years, our dog battled cancer-they were always there to help with blood work, questions and comfort. When it came time to say goodbye to our boy, Wilson, they ushered us right in. They gave us ample time to say goodbye, they were beyond comforting and respectful to him/us and gave us time to grieve after. They did it near closing time so we're weren't rushed out or had to go back into the waiting room where other where. I cannot recommend them enough!

Dr. Cunningham has been with my pets and I for four years now. Macy, my cat, is a challenging case. She has knocked on death's door TWICE and both times, Dr. Cunningham has pulled her back! The time and effort she has put into Macy is the reason this kitty is running around my house today. She cares about my animals like they are her own. She's become a friend and I am so thankful our paths have crossed.
I followed her from another practice to her new one and I couldn't be any happier. I am so proud to call her my vet! I would recommend her to anyone and I do!

We have been taking our dog to South Dixie animal hospital for 14 years. Dr. Zeitlin and Dr. Barton previous vets were incredible in treating our dogs and keeping us informed to understand the treatment . Our visit today with the new vet Dr. Liberman, owner, was less than satisfactory. She refused to follow the treatments that had been very successfully prescribed by the previous vets. As it was my first visit I was disappointed that the treatments were not administered in front of me in the exam room by the vet. As my elderly dog is blind suffers from dementia is deaf as well as easily disoriented and gets agitated I requested a sedative. She recommended Benadryl that doesn't work and melatonin rather than offering his usual prescription sedative. Meeting a new vet is never easy but Dr. Liberman's bedside manner left much to be desired. It was also disappointing that two excellent vet techs were no longer there. Fortunately Tammy still is there she is simply delightful. Will be using Dr. Barton in the future at his new location in Delray to continue treatment even though it is less convenient.

We're so lucky to have come across this animal hospital so close to my home. Originally making my first appointment for the first of the year for my pup's annual check-up, we had to come in for an ear emergency on a Saturday morning a few weeks before his first scheduled visit.I had originally called a vet my pup had been to before, thinking the process would be easier to get him in on short notice.. But was denied even an emergency visit (for the entire day). I called South Dixie Animal Hospital and they were so kind to let us bring Leo in on such short notice on a busy Saturday. The vet got Leo's ear infection treated in no time at all and was extremely kind and informative as well. We're very happy to have finally found a great vet and will be only coming here from now on. Thank you again!!!

From the time I rescued by two little knock of siameses at 2 weeks old until now, seven years later, I have experienced only enthusiasm, professionalism, love and engagement by everyone in that organization. THEY ARE THE BEST.
Dr. Zeitlin's humour is contagious. When I asked why Tynker weighed more than Tyler, even tho they ate the same quantities, he calmy replied (with a wry smile): She's big boned!!! Hilarious.
Dr Barton is just as relaxed and competent around my cats..even when Tyler behaves badly, Tyler is contained with love and a firm hand.
I love the doctors and their team...none better.

First of all, anyone who knows me knows I'm basically soul connected to my cat. He's soon to be 14 and has been in great health until he very recently took ill. Because I naturally overreact, I immediately assumed the worst. I haven't had a regular vet in years minus a few emergency visits for a diff pet now deceased. I didn't want to just go anywhere so I fished around for recommendations and a friend suggested this place. I called, they didn't initially have availability for me during a time frame that would work but they still managed to squeeze me in when I said I had to work and really didn't feel comfortable just dropping off my cat. I was seen quickly. The Dr. and his staff were super warm and appeared to genuinely want to comfort my pet. My cat was given a general physical exam and then the Dr. gave me my options regarding further examination and explained why he felt certain tests should be run and why others would be less necessary. I really appreciated that because I've been to other vets where they basically demand I allow them to run various tests that I felt were expensive and unnecessary. My kitty ended up being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and a worm he picked up likely from escaping the house and eating something wormy outside....which then resulted in a bladder infection. All treatable. The Dr. provided me a wellness plan and the nurses showed me how to administer all the meds in the easiest way possible. I would definitely return for future services. Yay kitty!

Dr. Cunningham and South Dixie Animal Hospital are the only place we trust to take care of our babies. We were blessed to find Dr. Cunningham over a decade ago after adopting a dog and being given her location for our free check up. We never thought that would start the incredible journey that we have been on since. My wife and I are prone to taking in dogs that are “medically needy“ and the only reason we feel comfortable doing so is because we know we have the skill and knowledge of Dr. Cunningham and SDAH to take care of them.
A few years ago the company I worked for moved from Boynton Beach to the Orlando area and my biggest concern was being so far away from Dr. Cunningham. While we decided to make the move, my fears came true not long after we settled in when one of my dogs needed surgery locally. We took her to a beautiful place close to us but she passed away the following morning. I still believe that if I could have gotten her to Dr. Cunningham things would have gone differently. Since that day we have driven three hours each way for every sniffle.
It’s not just Dr Cunningham either, the staff at SDAH is second to absolutely none. Most of the staff have been with Dr. Cunningham since the start of her career. They have been there through the good times and bad times with us, they don’t even mind all the silly questions over and over again from an overprotective dog dad.
People say it’s who you know not what you know but I believe that it’s both. Dr. Cunningham is constantly investing in continuing education and because of that as well as her collegiate success, she has trained next to the top specialists in all fields. You don’t realize how important that is until you find a cancerous lump right next to your babies eye and you need a soft tissue surgeon to very precisely remove it, thankfully Dr. Cunningham had the number of one of the best in the business and we were in the next week.
This is more than just a review, this is a testament to somebody that has devoted their life to being the greatest at something very important. If you are anywhere in the area, or even three hours away, I would highly, highly recommend South Dixie Animal Hospital, Dr. Cunningham and the entire incredible staff that will bend over backwards to make sure you and your babies are treated with love, care and respect!

Unconscionable negligence that will now be costing me multiple $1,000s of dollars to fix. They were supposed to chip a pet of mine for international travel and said they had found she already had one implanted. Then after all the travel was confirmed, apartments set up, thousands of dollars spent they say she doesn’t have a microchip anymore when it was time to do the certification. A literal impossibility, a total scam, and then had the nerve to still charge for “services rendered”. I will now be without my first dog ever who has seen my wife and I get married, is now over 10 years old, and will now have to be without us for the first time ever due to their lies. Never ever trust them with your pet.

Staff totally misdiagnosed my cat, and prescribed meds for the misdiagnosis. The wounds Johnny received from being bitten, were found by my girlfriend and the staff at a different animal hospital, AFTER the fact. South Dixie Animal Hospital staff is kind and caring. My only issue is that Johnny's misdiagnosis could have led to infection, or worst case scenario, sepsis, in which case, our handsome boy Johnny, could have died. Cammy, (his sister), Liddy, (his Mommy), and of course, me, (Johnny's Daddy), would be sad beyond belief, if we lost him. The mistake could have happened to anyone. But it happened to us. I might give S Dixie Animal Hospital another opportunity. I haven't decided yet. The upside to this whole story? I got all
Johnny's immunizations up to date, at S Dixie.

The best decision I ever made was to transfer my pet’s care to South Dixie Animal Clinic a few months ago! It starts at the front desk. Chris is fantastic. He is upbeat and makes you feel welcome. Both doctors, Dr. Cunningham and Dr. Liberman, are very friendly, knowledgeable and in the moment when they interact with my pet.
My dog started having pain in the shoulders about 6 months or so to the point where this friendly dog started to nip if you touched him. His previous vet just palpated him and suggested over the counter supplements. Dr. Cunningham took the time to slowly motion palpate his joints and figured out exactly where the problem was, his right shoulder. She prescribed some pain & anti-inflammatory meds and came up with a plan to correctly diagnose & treat his issue.
I’m really impressed with Drs. Cunningham and Liberman and I am so happy that I found a facility where I know that my pet will get proper care.

To put it simply, without Dr. Vicky Liberman my dog wouldn't be with me today. My 5 year old dog, Pearl, is deaf, epileptic and allergic to everything under the sun. Every vet I've tried in the past couldn't crack the code when it came to Pearl's allergies, more importantly her epilepsy. In July of last year, I was certain I was going to lose Pearl with the amount of seizures she was experiencing. With Dr. Liberman's patience, empathy, and knowledge, Pearl has been granted a whole new life. I haven't seen THIS dog in a long time. I chose to follow Dr. Liberman to South Dixie because she is the only Vet I trust.

Dr. Cunningham and her staff are incredible! For 2.5 years, our dog battled cancer-they were always there to help with blood work, questions and comfort. When it came time to say goodbye to our boy, Wilson, they ushered us right in. They gave us ample time to say goodbye, they were beyond comforting and respectful to him/us and gave us time to grieve after. They did it near closing time so we're weren't rushed out or had to go back into the waiting room where other where. I cannot recommend them enough!

Dr. Cunningham has been with my pets and I for four years now. Macy, my cat, is a challenging case. She has knocked on death's door TWICE and both times, Dr. Cunningham has pulled her back! The time and effort she has put into Macy is the reason this kitty is running around my house today. She cares about my animals like they are her own. She's become a friend and I am so thankful our paths have crossed.
I followed her from another practice to her new one and I couldn't be any happier. I am so proud to call her my vet! I would recommend her to anyone and I do!

We have been taking our dog to South Dixie animal hospital for 14 years. Dr. Zeitlin and Dr. Barton previous vets were incredible in treating our dogs and keeping us informed to understand the treatment . Our visit today with the new vet Dr. Liberman, owner, was less than satisfactory. She refused to follow the treatments that had been very successfully prescribed by the previous vets. As it was my first visit I was disappointed that the treatments were not administered in front of me in the exam room by the vet. As my elderly dog is blind suffers from dementia is deaf as well as easily disoriented and gets agitated I requested a sedative. She recommended Benadryl that doesn't work and melatonin rather than offering his usual prescription sedative. Meeting a new vet is never easy but Dr. Liberman's bedside manner left much to be desired. It was also disappointing that two excellent vet techs were no longer there. Fortunately Tammy still is there she is simply delightful. Will be using Dr. Barton in the future at his new location in Delray to continue treatment even though it is less convenient.

We're so lucky to have come across this animal hospital so close to my home. Originally making my first appointment for the first of the year for my pup's annual check-up, we had to come in for an ear emergency on a Saturday morning a few weeks before his first scheduled visit.I had originally called a vet my pup had been to before, thinking the process would be easier to get him in on short notice.. But was denied even an emergency visit (for the entire day). I called South Dixie Animal Hospital and they were so kind to let us bring Leo in on such short notice on a busy Saturday. The vet got Leo's ear infection treated in no time at all and was extremely kind and informative as well. We're very happy to have finally found a great vet and will be only coming here from now on. Thank you again!!!

From the time I rescued by two little knock of siameses at 2 weeks old until now, seven years later, I have experienced only enthusiasm, professionalism, love and engagement by everyone in that organization. THEY ARE THE BEST.
Dr. Zeitlin's humour is contagious. When I asked why Tynker weighed more than Tyler, even tho they ate the same quantities, he calmy replied (with a wry smile): She's big boned!!! Hilarious.
Dr Barton is just as relaxed and competent around my cats..even when Tyler behaves badly, Tyler is contained with love and a firm hand.
I love the doctors and their team...none better.

First of all, anyone who knows me knows I'm basically soul connected to my cat. He's soon to be 14 and has been in great health until he very recently took ill. Because I naturally overreact, I immediately assumed the worst. I haven't had a regular vet in years minus a few emergency visits for a diff pet now deceased. I didn't want to just go anywhere so I fished around for recommendations and a friend suggested this place. I called, they didn't initially have availability for me during a time frame that would work but they still managed to squeeze me in when I said I had to work and really didn't feel comfortable just dropping off my cat. I was seen quickly. The Dr. and his staff were super warm and appeared to genuinely want to comfort my pet. My cat was given a general physical exam and then the Dr. gave me my options regarding further examination and explained why he felt certain tests should be run and why others would be less necessary. I really appreciated that because I've been to other vets where they basically demand I allow them to run various tests that I felt were expensive and unnecessary. My kitty ended up being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and a worm he picked up likely from escaping the house and eating something wormy outside....which then resulted in a bladder infection. All treatable. The Dr. provided me a wellness plan and the nurses showed me how to administer all the meds in the easiest way possible. I would definitely return for future services. Yay kitty!

Dr. Zeitlin and his staff were remarkable in the care they gave to Chipper. They did everything they could to save this cat's life. It is nice to know there are such caring people in South Florida.
