For the last 15 years Dr. Longo has been my dogs Vet love him. I do not know what has happened to this office the customer service is very poor. My little one has a condition (dry eye) that she will have for the rest of her live and she needs medications. Dr. Longo told me that when I needed my dogs drops all I have to do is call and they will refill the prescription for her. Well the last few years the have been bounced from vet to vet every time they have a new Vet in the hospital. I have to see them I never get to see Dr. Longo anymore and to top it off I called on Thursday order my little one drops my husband when to pick it up on Tuesday and they told him the medication was not ready I called this morning and they told me that the dog had to come in to see the vet to get the medication, They did even called me to tell me that. When I leave a message for Dr. Longo the receptionist tell me that he is to busy to speak to me and she does not know when he can call me back better yet my dog has dry eye this is a live time condition Dr. Longo him self told me that I do not have to bring her in to get my prescription. It sounds to me that they want you to bring your pet in for unnecessary visits so they can charge you even know that the dog does not have to see the doctor. We came here once on one of the scariest days of our lives. Dr.Longo had been taking care of our Great Dane puppy since she was born and her previous owners highly recommended that we stay with him. Our girl got a corncob in the middle of the night and we thought she would need surgery. He guided us through everything with so much love and care for her. Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable and even got second opinions on everything from professionals to help us make our decision. My boyfriend and I cannot stress how much we appreciate his help and his kindness. That same day I had previously made an appointment at another VCA in Central Park for my cat and when I arrived there later that day, the actual doctor was very sweet but I was unable to get her name. Yet, the rest of the staff was snooty and stuck up at best. Seeming mostly like they were passing judgement and making rude faces rather than trying to help. We brought our extremely ill terrier mix to Indian Trace where she was diagnosed her with severe colongio hepatitis. Dr. Birzon initiated intensive supportive care and "pulled out all the stops" to try to save her. Based on her blood levels,the chance of her surviving was very low. Dr. Birzon and staff were incredibly supportive--and we got the sense of true teamwork in their efforts to save her. As a result of Dr. Birzon's skills as a vet--the staff-and the facilities--Sunshine(11 years old) survived a near-fatal week-long episode of live failure.Every day is Bonus Time! We could not be more grateful to everyone there,including the office manager,Luis. But most of all we must thank Dr. Birzon--He loves animals,he loves his work-and but most impressively, his abilities as a vet are matched only by his deep concern for both pets and their people. Moving from VCA Promenade Hosp. The Great Dr. moved to Texas. Have been to Indian Trace a few times and I am not impressed. VCA is just buying up all the little Hosp. Not for the better from what I have seen. Each time we go in they can't find our records. Not AAHA accredited. Some VCA are. Took a tour at Home Town Hosp. Wow...only negative I see is parking. They look like they know what they are doing . They even do KIMO. Read Less

I have been using Indian Trace Animal hospital for the past 13 years, of which the last 11 years have been under the guidance of Dr. Antonio Longo.I have found Indian Trace Animal Hospital to be extremely clean and their staff to be spot on. I have never encountered in all my time of going there a bad experience, nor have I witnessed any problems with their staff. As for Dr. Longo: if ever there was a physician who's utmost priority was to the animal world, Dr. Longo is in a class by himself. From my first encounter to my latest which was on September 08,2016, Dr. Longo has proved time and time again what sets him apart from others in the field of being an animal physician. I am never rushed when it comes to his seeing any of my animals. His exam room manners are beyond reproach. He is meticulous in comprehending and evaluating the reason you brought your pet in. The compassion he shows should be copied and used in the veterinarian schooling. Many years ago one of my animals was projectile vomiting soon after eating. I called Dr. Longo and discussed what was going on with her. He asked me to bring her in but told me based on my observation she possibly has Addison Disease. I brought her in, Dr. Longo gave her a thorough exam and also did blood work. The results did in fact conclude Addison Disease. VCA Indian Trace is very fortunate to have Dr. Longo as well as the staff that I have come to know over the years. Misdiagnosis of Italian Greyhound. After much testing the doctors there called it pancreatitis. Another 2 weeks of spending money on their misdiagnosis, I went to another vet in Weston who, after the same tests found that she had cancer throughout her body. We humanely put the little lady to sleep. Incurred over $1,500 expenses at Indian Trace Animal Hospital for an incorrect diagnosis and subsequent treatments. The owner absolutely refused to give us our money back calling his doctors' action correct medical treatment. We went to Indian Trace Animal Hospital for more than fifteen years...gradually deteriorated after losing top vets to other locations in the same group. This set of doctors is poor at best. Don't bring your loving pet there unless you want to make the same mistake my wife and I made...trusting our pets to incompetents. Read Less
