I took my sweet Yorkie puppy to this vet today! I am from out of town and I didn't bring any of his papers with shot records. They were willing to have my vet at home fax them over and it was so easy!! My Xander went into hypoglycemic shock this morning and I was very worried for him- the vet here was able to help him SO much!! I am very pleased. They even printed out articles so I could learn more about this issue my puppy has. When I picked him up, he was as happy as can be!! I am SOOO pleased with the staff- they were all so kind and all very helpful. The building is very clean and nice also. If I am ever in town again and need them, I will be back!!! Highly recommended! Doctors are amazing and they really care for your pets, they are a little pricey however. The staff is great for the most part, Brianna and Taylor are super nice and helpful, however Victoria ( I believe) is not so nice nor helpful or genuine. She was rude when I was asking for help and information, Brianna was wonderful and caring, definitely asking her for help instead! Read Less

Regrettably this facility continues to declaw cats, often viewed as inhumane to our feline friends. Unfortunate they continue to support this practice so I will not take my cats to this or any medical office that does this. Read Less

Dr. Abeyta is wonderful. Took both my great danes there. Sadly we had to put both to sleep and she handled them both. Very courteous staff that helped make two difficult times better due to their attitude and professionalism. A+++ place to take your pets.Read Less

Their doctors are amazing, their vet techs (especially Travis) are usually top notch but the women who man the front desk are absolutely horrendous. I have 2 dogs, brought both in even though I had an appointment for only 1, part out of convenience (they go every where together) but also because THEIR OFFICE sent out an alarming email about canine flu and getting vaccinated. I was fully prepared to pay two visit fees, I was t trying to skip the system. So I took them in and their front desk receptionist acted like I had shot her in the forehead she was so put out. I ended up leaving. I'll take my dogs somewhere else. I hate to leave The doctors but I can't deal with their front desk staff. This happens EVERY TIME! Read Less

I've been meaning to leave this review for a while now. About 2 months ago, my 6yr old Rottweiler became very sick. She was unable to keep food down and frantically trying to eat grass and anything else she could such as carpet. I was very worried for her but did not have money for a vet bill due to having just moved in the last month. I tried treating her at home using google but it was getting worse. I contacted this veterinary hospital and told them my situation. They agreed to see my girl the same day and said they would work with me on payment. Dr. Nadler, and his staff were so kind and pleasant. They treated my Gucci with so much love. The doctor gave me a treatment plan and recommendations that were realistic and not just to run up a bill that I couldn't afford. They treated my dog no differently than any other paying customer and gave me the trust to be able to pay my bill at a later date. I was so grateful for their kindness and compassion. My Gucci is doing very well now and no longer has issues since they helped her, and based on the Vet techs information and Dr recommendation...we upgraded her to better quality dog food after she finished her meds and bland diet, which has helped her tremendously. This place has earned a lifetime customer/patient just due to their pure kindness and dedication to the welfare of the pets they treat. I'm very grateful to Dr. Nadler and his staff. We had our little girl Bella for 16 years, she was with us for many life events, our Bella was part of our family and was loved by everyone. She had a gentle and loving soul. When Bella wasn't well and we had to plan for end of life, the staff at Stoneybrook was understanding, kind and loved our little girl as much as we did. They respected her and us as we had to say our final good bye to our Bella. We received a sympathy card from the office, signed by Dr Kara and the staff that was so kind to our girl. One day, out of the blue, our kitty starting vomiting and couldn't keep any food or water down. We then took her to West Orange Vet Hospital and they were incredible. After hearing her symptoms, the vet almost immediately suspected that our kitty had developed a food intolerance and needed to get on a super high quality food that had rabbit and peas (no chicken, seafood, steak, preservatives). Rather than telling us to spend hundreds of dollars, the vet had us put our cat on anti-nausea medicine while she adjusted to her new raw diet. After a couple of weeks, our cat's energy level completely returned and the vomiting stopped! Now for the first time, our kitty actually finishes her meals! She craves the food whereas before, she would pick at her food. Our kitty is so happy. West Orange Vet was amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable. I just recently started taking my dogs to WOVH both locations back in January of this year. On April 20th I had to put my 13 yr old white German Shepard Kenzie down due to a tumor in her head. Dr. Badge was so kind and loving with her at every appointment she had. She treated Kenzie as a "person" not an animal. She stay with Kenzie till she passed. I on the other hand was a mess. She reassured me I was doing the right thing even from my medical stand point I knew I was. I could never have ask for a better experience at such a horrible time. I cannot praise her and the staff enough and I am now taking my other dog there my mom was so impressed with everyone she has now decided to take her dog. As long as Dr. Badge and the amazing staff is there I will continue to take my dogs to them. They are all amazing people. Read Less

My husband and I have been taking our dogs to this clinic for a number of years. The vets and all the staff are angels. Our dogs are our children and we make sure they get the very best of everything. Dr. Fink, Dr. Nadler and Dr. Badge are very good at what they do and very compassionate and kind when treating our dogs.They always discuss treatment with us and make sure we understand what is involved. If one of our dogs is hospitalized, we are always kept up-to-date on their condition. Any questions we have had have been answered promptly. I have had nothing but professional and compassionate experiences at both locations. The first time I visited West Orange Vet was in the fall of 2011 when my sweet Wall E started limping. I called in a panic as a new patient and was able to get in that very afternoon. He ended up needing surgery and throughout that very emotional and trying time the whole staff saw to it that not only Wall E but my boyfriend I were well taken care of. I remember calling and crying because he ripped his stitches out or I couldn't get him in his carrier and had to cancel an appt last minute and not once was i made to feel stupid. Most recently I met Dr. Badge and she is so caring and so gentle. She really loves what she does and she loves our newest addition Eva and her big brother Wall E. We were referred to the AVS clinic in  Maitland and even though Wall E was no longer being treated at West Orange, Dr Badge still called us to check on how he was doing. That meant the world to us. We had a very unpleasant and sad experience with Sandra Fink on April 22, 2006. We brought Boots (feline) who was 20 years old and had him since he was a 4 months old. We brought him in on a Sat. and left him at the vet for a couple hours so the could take x rays and examine him. I got a call telling me he had lung cancer. We went over to the vet to talk to her and see the x rays. We decided to put him down a he was feeling pretty bad. I asked Fink if we could see him before any injections were done on him and she said sure. While we waited in the exam room she comes out with poor Boots hanging down in front of her and she was hold him up with her arm and I could see those big eyes looking at me. He only like my wife and I to touch him so she took it upon herself to give him an injection without us present and he was dead when she laid him on the table. We got no sorry, no hug. Nothing. She is one cold vet. She told me how he squealed and was very upset when she handled him. I wrote her a letter about a week after and explained how sad we were in the way she handled our beloved pet of 20 years and she sent a reply telling me how much Boots didn't like what she was doing to him, etc. I cannot believe a vet could do such a cruel thing. There was a receptionist there that was with Dr. Stevens the original owner of the practice but he sold it to this Fink early 2006. She was out for maternity leave when our Boots passed and she did not come back to work as she had heard about how she treats clients. Even a good vet tech that worked with Dr. Stevens left before a year was up as he had seen enough. This vet tech came across the letter I had written to Fink and he wanted to know what that was about and I told him. The tech told me Fink had many a client crying in the office over her bad manners. I have brought both our cat and dog to the West Orange Veterinary Hospital and each time has been a good experience.   Our cat had gotten a cold/cough and I took him in to get treatment.  The staff was friendly and Dr. Fink was able to treat him after an exam.  On that first visit, I did not have a lot of money to spend and I told that to the doctor so she tried her best to keep the bill low for me.  I was happy to say it was a lot less than I thought it was going to be!   The cat was cured but his cold did return a few weeks later and I had to bring him again.  This time we did a stronger med and that did the trick!  Our cat is doing fine and I am very happy with their treatment.We also brought our new dog we adopted in for his first exam.  They did not charge us anything for his first visit because we had adopted him!  What a great perk knowing they will give this first visit free!  He checked out fine but a few weeks later got some worms.  I thought I was going to have to bring him back in but they said no... they had just seen him and all I would have to bring in was a stool sample so they could check for bugs... The doctor was able to diagnose his worm and give me medication to treat it.  They were very nice and were happy to help.  It seems like they really care about the pets they see.  I did not feel rushed and they took their time with you and your pet.  I was able to ask as many questions as needed so I understood what was wrong and how they were going to treat them.  I also felt that they did all they could to cure our animals and help us save money.   They are not out to get you like some of the other vets that work out of major pet supply stores!  Hopefully you will have as good experience as we have!
