Our veterinarians practice Traditional Chinese Medicine and utilize acupuncture, Chinese & Western herbal therapy, nutrition, veterinary chiropractic, homotoxicology and homeopathy as treatment modalities. These therapies may be highly beneficial for many medical and surgical conditions where a conventional approach either fails to provide relief or produces unacceptable side-effects. Our patients come in with a variety of problems. Some examples are disc disease, arthritis, hip dysplasia, cancer. liver disease, kidney disease, heart failure and auto-immune diseases. OUR PHYSICIANS: Constance DiNatale, DVM, graduated from the University of Florida School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. While in veterinary school, she became certified in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). In 1999, she completed her certification in veterinary chiropractic and opened the practice in Winter Park. She enjoys spending her "spare" time with her son and her 3 dogs-Jordy, Sophie & Bailey. Joseph Demers, DVM, is a graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and was in general practice in Melbourne, Florida since 1974. Dr Demers holds certification in veterinary acupuncture by IVAS and in veterinary homeopathy by the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy. He has completed extensive coursework in Chinese Herbal Medicine and became a certified Homeopathic Master Clinician in human medicine in the early 1990s. Dr Demers is past president of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association and of the Florida Homeopathic Medical Society.

My hounds Cody and Cooper have each had a few appointments with Dr. DiNatale now and we love her! She gives great ideas and suggestions in terms of expanding the variety of foods in their raw diet, and adjusts them really well. We love seeing her and are so glad we found her! She's very patient with the dogs and is not intimidated whatsoever by any signs of growling or barking. She takes her time and does exactly what needs to be done with a tremendous amount of skill. Dr. Demers cured my 1.5-year-old Boxer puppy who would not stop itching herself raw. She had recently recovered from a severe case of mange and her regular vet kept prescribing steroids for her itchiness. She would stop itching for a few days but the itchiness would always come back. Dr. Demers prepared a special diet and herbs for her and administered homeopathy. After five months, she was 100% better - no more itchiness! She's a happy Boxer puppy now who is full of life and energy. I definitely recommend this vet! Read Less

I have a senior dog who has begun to struggle a bit with her normal activities of daily living. It was recommended to me to try acupuncture for her based on others who have had positive results with their "kids." They are a small practice, so initially getting an appointment was a challenge. This was primarily due to issues with return phone calls. That has not persisted though, as I set my next appointment while there and receive a reminder call the day before.I initially visited with Dr Demers, who has since left the practice in retirement. Dr DiNatale has started seeing my senior dog and the results to date have been positive albeit not miraculous. He suffers from arthritis of the back, hips and wrists. Dr DiNatale has done a great job of wing aggressive with treatment and providing guidance on rehab for me to conduct between appointments. Additionally, she provides ideas on diet and herbal treatments to help with varying stomach and liver issues, which have made a noticeable difference in my dog's life. For anyone with an aging dog who is willing to do anything to provide comfort as he/she ages, please consider acupuncture and herbal remedies. They're not inexpensive, but the joy my companion brings me is worth every cent. Read Less

This is HANDS DOWN the best vet in Orlando!!! Friendly, calm (for my dog) and natural...it doesn't get much better than that. One thing I dislike about most vets is I feel like mechanics they can rip you off and give you a bunch of medicines and tests that the dog really doesn't need. This is NOT the case at VAC. Every "medicine" my dog has ever received has been natural and low cost and they even pro-rated the office visit because it was so short. I love that my dog doesn't shake when she walks in the doors like she did at other vets. Everyone here are true animal lovers and really friendly. There's no other vet that I trust my dog to. We first visited VAC after my 12 year old dog somehow hurt her back. After a month of tests, "rest" and no results or hope from the neurologist, we decided to try holistic medicine. Dr. Dinatale is extremely friendly and engaging and loves animals. She was very optimistic about being able to help Leah, though holistic treatments and acupuncture can take a while to show results. We've been visiting once a week for about two months and my dog is starting to show improvement. She also enjoys visiting this vet - she knows that there are no shots or tests or exams, and the acupuncture is definitely relaxing for her. The small staff is extremely friendly and caring, and the place always smells so soothing - like lavender. Mats on the floors give the dogs cushions, and owners can grab a throw pillow and join them or sit in a comfy chair. I don't claim to understand holistic/eastern medicine, but I'm seeing results and the staff and Dr. D definitely know their stuff. Of course, this sort of treatment and herbal regimen is not cheap, but it's worth it to have a caring, knowledgeable vet and staff - and to see the relief in our dog! While we primarily visit Dr. D, we have also seen the other vet, Dr. Fasano, and found her to have a bit different style but sitll just as knowledgeable and caring. Read Less
