We can’t thank Dr Keller and the wonderful staff for the fantastic care of our 1 year old lab, CJ. He became ill suddenly with what was suspected Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis last week, but when he deteriorated further after treatment, they admitted him and ran tests until they found out what was wrong. If it wasn’t for Dr Keller, CJ would not be here now. It turned out that CJ has a rare and often missed condition called Addisons Disease which is often fatal unless caught and treated quickly. We saw Dr. Will Gholston. Make sure to ask for him by first name because there are two brothers there. The other doctor Gholston’s first name is Dr. Forrester. This is the doctor that our friends have used for years. We saw Dr. Will because he specializes in orthopedic surgery. Our regular vet told us that our Morkie needed cruciate ligament surgery. Dr. Will very thoroughly palpitated our dog’s leg and said that it was a level 1.5 of 4. He recommended confinement in a crate for a month with no running or jumping and only 5 minute bathroom leash walks. He thought that if we did this that our dog might be able to heal his leg on his own and avoid a very painful expensive surgery with a long recovery period. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a great bedside manner. I was very impressed that he put our dog’s best interest before that of making money for himself. There are very few honest people like this left in the world. I would highly recommend this vet for anyone looking for knowledgeable and compassionate service. Just as an FYI, Dr. Will is off on Thursdays and every other Saturday, so call before you come in to make sure that he’s working. The clinic is a walk in basis only aside from surgeries, grooming, and boarding. We got there right when they opened at 7 AM and had no wait. Their parking lot is kind of small for a very big practice but there is a lot of street parking right around there. You can go online and fill out the new patient form before you get there. You also need to make sure to pack your pet’s shot records in order to be seen. We forgot to bring in our other records related to our dog’s injury but Dr. Will was still able to do a great assessment without them. This hospital did not require a referral from our primary vet like the surgical centers that we spoke with did. Their pricing is about half that of the surgical centers. If our dog does end up needing surgery by getting worse, we will definitely use Dr. Will for it. I was also much more impressed with the customer service of this office than that of the surgical centers that I spoke with. I did hear that there are some unhelpful front desk people, but don’t let them discourage you from seeing such a great doctor. Dr. Will put our dog on an anti-inflammatory and a psychiatric med to help keep him calm, so he can rest & recover from his injury. Read Less

Switched from another vet clinic I've been taking my pets to for years. The team here was quick and efficient. They handled my 130lb Cane Corso with ease and didn't give up on the nail trim so they could charge me sedation. The cost was almost half of what our normal annual check up costs. Today was extra special as Dr.Sullivan took her time to show my son exactly what she was doing during our dogs check up. She even let him watch Emma (our dog) get her vaccines. I cannot recommend AAH enough. After a recent mis-diagnosis at my longstanding Vet, I disagreed with their assessment of "old age" for the walking troubles of my 15 yr old rescue. I decided to look for a second opinion at AAH. Dr. P was the Vet assigned to my dog and, within 2 minutes, he pinpointed exactly what the issue was; even backed it up with x-rays. It was really nice to see that both he and AAH legitimately cared about my dog's well being and didn't dismiss my concerns, or treat us both like another number. Highly recommend! Took my cat Toby to get fixed by Dr. Sullivan. Spoke with her when I brought him in. She made me and Toby feel comfortable and walked me through what will happen. I really appreciate the help and knowledge that I was given by Dr Davenport and staff. I came in knowing Molly didn't feel well but no idea she was as sick as she was. Alpharetta Animal Hospital is so helpful, over the phone and in person. They go above and beyond to help their patients. Our former vet would never answer simple questions over the phone and always made us bring our pets in. I called Alpharetta Animal Clinic with a simple concern we had with our dog and they were happy to consult a doctor and advise me over the phone. Dr Keller treated my Australian Shepherd for 10.75 years. Tux lived from 01-18-2006 to 11-10-2016. Tux had come down with a major lung infection, which come on quick, and could not be treated and caused his death. Dr Keller did everything he could to save tux, along with the specialist he called in. Best vet around. I tried to deal with one vet all the time (but dogs don't know days off when they get hurt or sick), but everyone there is: honest, trustworthy, compassionate, and caring about the pets and owners they serve. I have brought my dogs to Alpharetta Animal Hospital for the past 15 years, And in the past, have recommended them to quite a few friends. But my experience in the past 6 months has been extremely disappointing. I have waited over an hour for my very ill dog to be seen. The front office staff if uncaring and rude. The Vets rush you in and out. My dog who I originally brought in for a skin infection became increasing weak and sick. Only when I asked the Vet to check the very swollen Lymph Nodes did they do testing. I called twice today to talk to Dr Sullivan and she would not return my call. I am now a client of North Main. Dr Bishop is much more compassionate and caring and the office staff is professional and polite. Read Less

I just got my puppy in late November and it's my first time as a pet parent. I've been to Alpharetta Animal Hospital several times since for vaccines, routine check, and even a bath. Each and every time, the staff is the most caring and compassionate group of people I've met. The treat my pup with the best care and even answer my endless and probably annoying questions without batting an eye. The prices are also reasonable in my opinion but I haven't got to other vets either so I don't have a comparison point. In summary, I will never go to another vet besides Alpharetta Animal Clinic so long as I have the choice!Read Less

My friend recommended this practice to me for my kitten, so I am a new customer and have been there 4 times now. I really like the fact that you do not have to have an appointment to see them and that they open early. I have been impressed with both Dr. Perales and Dr. Doiron, they are friendly and knowledgeable, and my kitten likes them too. I rarely write reviews, but I have to commend this wonderful staff. My Willow is guaranteed to be a problem child every time we step foot into a vet clinic. However, the Dr. and her staff treated my cat with great care and got her updated shots done quickly and professionally. I normally get so stressed when having to take Willow to the vet.
