I wouldn't even leave one star but I had to choose something. This vet is a poor excuse of a clinic. After recently moving to the area we began taking my 3 dogs to this clinic. A few months after our first visit my dog got extremely sick. She was having trouble breathing and wouldn't eat.. the vet here sent us home after they said they did "testing" and she was "fine" and my dog passed away a few days later. Pretty happy here with my experience at crabapple vet. They took a look at my bird when pretty much no other vet near my work would and got her all healed up with a shot and some good advice. Dr. Carson is competent and friendly and definitely is helpful and knows her stuff. The staff here is very nice and they are willing to work out payment arrangements if necessary. The staff and vets at CKVC are great. They are very caring and professional. We have several dogs all with different behaviors - from ultra calm - to ultra anxious. They adjust their treatment and care accordingly. We have even had "curbside" visits for our super anxious pup. We have visited for everything from routine yearlies and shots, to surgery and have been very pleased on all accounts. They are open 7 days a week with great hours. Crabapple Knoll Veterinary Clinic is by far the best vet I have ever been to. Growing up in Milton, my family always brought our animals here. Now as an adult, living in Atlanta, I still make the drive to bring my own animals here. Their staff is always willing to answer any questions and genuinely care about your animals health and happiness. My dog recently had to get surgery for a luxating patella and both Dr. Ashley Gaston and Dr. Taylour Disch were great throughout the entire time, explaining all the details and processes. Additionally, my other dog had to get a mass removed on his leg and Dr. Ashley Gaston even cleaned his teeth a little while she was doing the surgery, just because she cares and saw some plaque buildup :) Through the good times and the bad times, I would recommend this vet to anyone in the area!! We brought or elderly dog here because she collapsed unexpectedly when we came home from work. Our regular vet is too far and too booked, so this was a very last minute appointment. The doctor was amazing. He sat on the floor with our dog to examine her, answered all of our questions, and laid out all the options for us so we could make an informed decision on how to proceed. I cannot say enough great things about this clinic.  When we needed to find a new vet for our Zoe, friends recommended Crabapple Knoll.  I knew from our first visit that this was the clinic for us.  I love that they have multiple vets and technicians on staff 7 days a week.  Not only is it convenient for the parents, it enables the vets to collaborate when they encounter issues where they need a second opinion. While we saw several different vets (and we felt comfortable with all of them), we tended to gravitate to Dr. Disch.  You can tell that she loves animals and loves what she does.  She went above and beyond for us... she even sent us a video of Zoe during a hospital stay because she knew we were worried about her.    The care and compassion everyone showed to our Zoe was amazing.  Every staff member we encountered was kind and attentive - special shout out to Julie!  They treated us like family.  Given my experience with other vets in the Roswell area, I would not hesitate to trust Crabapple Knoll with my fur baby. Be careful with this vet. They charge 3x more than other vets for same service. Like many others on here we had a bad experience with teeth cleaning. They charged over $1200 for two dogs AFTER a 25% discount. By comparison another more reputable vet in Alpharetta estimate was only $500 - for the same service! When we questioned about the charges and the fact that we didn't get an estimate, the very arrogant owner said "your choice not ours". We've been a customer for 16 years but won't be going back. Advice...get estimates and check them with other vets and know based on this review and other recent ones that the focus of this vet is profit, not the pets nor customer. One more note. This vet had us sign a small electronic signature pad and they then lifted that signature onto a document stating that we agreed to a vast number of items some of which had not even been discussed with us. I'm done with this place. Our last visit was for teeth cleaning.  My dog stopped breathing twice and they stopped the procedure without cleaning his teeth. They still charged a lot of money considering.  Took him to another vet for a second opinion.  The new vet felt he was over sedated and also showed me my dog needed a broken tooth extracted.  We went through the procedure including the tooth extraction with no problems for almost half of what Crabapple Knoll charged for pretty much no service. I decided to take my 2 huskies to Crabapple Knoll when I moved to the area mainly due to convenience for boarding. I use to hate having to pay an extra day of boarding because my old vet was closed on satudrays or Sundays. Not here! This vet and boarding facility is open Saturdays & Sundays!! Services here might be marginally higher than other vets in the area, but I implore you to look past that and remember the saying €you get what you pay for.€ My dogs have never been really been sick aside from the occasional ear infection. Recently my dog was diagnosed with a brain disease that required a neurologist. Crabapple Knoll made the referral process seamless, then stayed in contact over the next months to receive updates and provide the medication for my girl so I would not have to drive too far. Several months later that same girl ate several socks around 8:30 pm. Luckily, Crabapple Knoll stays open until 9pm on week nights, and was willing to take a look at her. After her initial eval, Dr. Ashley advised GI surgery was required. I assumed I would have to take her to GVS because it was 9:30 at that point. No, Dr. Ashley offered to not only stay and do the surgery, but also transported her to the local emergency vet for overnight care at 1:45 am. This isn€t the only time Dr. Ashley has gone above and beyond. During the healing process, the staff was very friendly and understanding. Willing to take my calls and update me on her status at all hours. Over the next week, they allowed me to come in and sit in the back with my girl for an 1hr+ while they cleaned/closed up. They often stayed open late as to not turn away an emergency. They truly care about each animal that comes in, and treats them as if they were their own. My Bella ended up passing away due to complications from the brain infection. The service and the care that everyone there provided was astounding, and gave me so much comfort in how well my girl was cared for in her last weeks. Dr. Ashley was an integral part of that. They even sent flowers to my house the next day. I cant recommend Crabapple Knoll enough. Their expertise and care is surpassed by none. Read Less

Great vets , very caring and professional. Better opening hours than other vets offices they open early and stay open later as well as Sunday hours. I went there first time as it was the only vets open nearby when I had an emergency. They did such a good job diagnosing a rare condition and successfully treating it I immediately changed all my other dogs to this vets. All my neighbors use them and love them too. I have only had great experiences with this vet clinic. Unfortunately one experience was a sad one for me, I had to put my Cocker spaniel Toby to sleep due to Cancer, however they were super kind and even made an impression of his paw for me to keep. My other pet Legend who is 14 decided he was a young pup and took off chasing a very large dog, he ended up hurting his leg/back. They saw him right away and within a few days he was better. This vet is not only amazing to animals, great to people, but recently they did something that makes them stand out as a great local business too. My cat was killed unexpectedly and some strangers took the cat to the vet. There was some issue around how my cat was in fact killed and dispute therefore between folks around the bill. This amazing AMAZING VET helped my family by absorbing this bill to avoid any further stress on us after the loss of the pet and the confusion around the responsible parties. I've really appreciated my and my dog's experiences with Crabapple Knoll over the last few months. I stumbled upon them after moving to the area and looking for some place that would take my little guy when we had an issue come up on the weekend. I can't believe I've found a vet clinic with such great hours that's also affordably priced. My dog is very fearful/shy and every staff member I've met has been warm and patient with him. A doctor w his son, daughter and daughter/sister-in-law have a great practice - donations, cat house, routine vet visits for most any animal. I took my dog to Crabapple knoll to have his tail removed as the recommended it be done. They requested he remain there over night for observation afterward and I agreed. I assumed that he would be just that "observed". What they fail to tell you is that everyone goes home at 8:30 pm and there is nobody observing your pet again until they reopen the next morning. At sometime during the night my best friend died. While in there care. I was blown away when I received a bill for nearly $1000 a month later for a surgery that ultimatly took his life. I dropped off a happy, healthy dog and received a can of ashes and a bill back a week later. I called and spoke with the owner of the clinic and not only was he rude but he never once apologized for what took place under his care. His only concern was for his money. I have sent two letters requesting that the bill be considered paid and another requesting a copy of there malpractice insurance and all have been ignored. They are now sending me bills monthly with a late payment fee attached. Stay away from this place, they are not doing this for a love for animals, its clearly for a love of money. Read Less

I was very surprised, my sister in law and I and her 5 kids showed up about 8:15 with a stray kitten that had wandered into their yard the night before. It had been spayed and appeared to be homeless, but had a really bad, really deep and infected wound on its paw, basically took the pad off down to almost the bone. My sister in law explained to them what the situation was, and they didn't have a lot of money to invest into thekitten if it didn't have a pretty good shot for recovery, they were quickly becoming attached to her and wanted to do what was best. The vet tech and the doctor came out and talked to us, took the kitten back and numbed up her food, cleaned and wrapped it, came back and let us know the best and worst possibilities, along with the cost offering a generous discount.  Also let us know the poor oil one had fleas and there was a quick pill we could give her to help with that.  They took extra time to explain everything to us, they were amazing with the  kids, the small exam room was more then full , answered all of the questions and then blew us away with the bill. The director only charged her for the flea medicine which was $8.00... We couldn't believe that she had taken so much time with us and the kitten and done so much for her and not charged us... We appreciated that they understoodne circumstances and the situation with the poor little kitten and were beyond generous to help us all out. I have a regular vet I take our personal animals to, but I know if there is ever anything after when mine closes, not only are they open late, but they are good honest quality people.
