My 18 years old dog, Ruby, was given up by other vet we used to brought her for more than 8 years. So I took her to Dr. Joe Gaston next day, he was so wonderful to sit with us showing her all the x-rays and explained in detail what is going on with Ruby. He recommended and provided us her new food and also a special saline for her nose which we were very concerned. After giving her new food and the saline, she is already much better and comfortable. We went to Dr Gaston after our normal veterinarian was closed because our cocker spaniel needed emergency care and this clinic is open until 9 pm. Without an appointment they fit us in and treated us kindly and respectfully. Dr. Gaston was so caring with our little Maggie and didn't do unnecessary treatments. He was honest and compassionate as was all of the staff. He gave Maggie the medicine she needed and she is doing well. I will definitely go back to this clinic with all of my animals. Read Less

This is absolutely the best veterinary facility anywhere. All the veterinarians are caring, knowledgeable, and professional. The staff is outstanding and treat you like family. This place is perfect. We just found our cat at the parking lot who might blind,and this medical center treat her gently and carefully. They also gave us new custom discount for the shots and body check. At the end, Dr. Mac regained our little kitty sight again! We all feel so happy with that. I called and asked about having a pet I recently inherited vaccinated. They said that if it is just a rabies shot that a walk-in is fine and and appointment is not necessary. So this morning I did walk-in with my dog. He is a dachshund so it's not like he would be that hard to handle or take up too much time. I figured we would be in and out in a half-hour max. That seemed reasonable. We went in and were taken to a room and asked to fill out the usual new patient paper. I filled out the paper and waited. And waited... and waited..... annnnd waited. Nearly an hour passed by. All the while I hear people on the other side of the door coming and going. My kids were restless, the dog was restless, I was sick of waiting. I went to the front to ask if anyone was going to see us and they had apparently forgotten all about us.  However the sweet lady at the desk was very sincerely apologetic. She truly seemed legitimately and genuinely sorry about the long wait we incurred in the patient room. I appreciated her sincerity. The wait was much more forgivable that what else happened in there though. In the patient room there is a computer which is used to pull up patient records. The screen was opened to another person's personal information. Their name, address, telephone number, email and all details about their pet were on that screen. While I am an honest person not everyone is. I would hate to think anyone would be in there able to so easily access all of my information while they were waiting to be seen. Just think, I was in there for an hour with this computer wide open to someone's personal info. That is plenty of time to browse the records and get all kinds of info. This was a very careless move on the part of this establishment. I certainly would now wonder if my info would ever be laid out in full view of who ever may be nearby. Definitely not a very comforting thought. Aside from the wait and the compromising personal information of their clients, they were very nice people in this veterinary clinic. I love Veterinary Medical Center for their wonderful staff, great care and wide range of hours. Our pup can be a little shy and skiddish and I love how the staff here take care when interacting with him. Dr. Tigyi is the best. We have two cats that we bring here. We've used this vet for about three years and we love them! The staff is excellent! They go out of their way to make sure our fur babies are taken care of. They even cleaned our carrier for us when one of our cats got a little car sick on the ride over. We recommend them to all of our friends! Read Less

We have many 4-legged kids and we love everyone at Nesbit Ferry Crossing. They always makes our dogs & cats feel safe and even give them exams on the floor, so as not to stress them with the tables. The vet always follows up with phone calls to make sure our kids are good! Read Less

I can't say enough good things! my Yorky had not been to the vet in about five years because I couldn't afford it but now I'm able to give him all his shots and get him groomed without hesitation or dirty looks I have gotten from other vets that I have been to. Brought our hamster who was dying and looked like she was really suffering. It's my daughter's pet, and my daughters were very upset so we decided to try and save her. While she was to ill to be saved, the genuine compassion every single person at the clinic showed, and the outstanding effort they all made to make it easy and help was unbelievable. Dr. Andras Tigyi was wonderful. They truely and sincerely cared very much. While the hamster sadly didn't make it, if we ever have another pet, they will definitely be my first choice as a vet. I cannot say Thank you enough to Dr. Ryan Gaston. Last week Punky became seriously ill. When Punky's vet of 6 years couldn't see her, I got on the phone and started calling every vet I could find. I found Veterinary Medical Center on Google and called them even though they were an hour away. Dr. Gaston not only agreed to see her, he personally came on the phone and talked to me even though she wasn't his patient. He stayed late to operate on her because he was scared she wouldn't make it till the next morning. He saved her life! Throughout this last week, Punky's had a few problems due to the intense surgery she had and her age (13 yrs). He has had me call him with updates each morning and has came on the phone personally to talk to me. He is so great that even though it's a 2 hour round trip for us to use him. We really love the staff and doctors here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The doctors have been lifesavers for our Lhasa named Bentley.  Dr. Joe and his staff of doctors take a genuine interest in my Pooch's wellbeing and have kept him healthy and happy. Their hours are great.  My dog collapsed one evening and I brought him in.  At 7pm at night, they removed his cancerous spleen and saved his life.  All vets are both competent and considerate.  I've taken three English springer spaniels there over the years and their competency has resulted in a wonderful quality of life for all of my dogs.  The entire team is great.  I can't can't say enough good things about Dr. Joe and his staff. My golden and Himalayan have both been patients here for a few years, but my most recent trip with my golden will be my last. I was infuriated when I brought my golden in for a nail trim and gland expression and they sent a kennel employee up to the room as they were apparently short on veterinary techs. He did a fine job on the toe nails (but my golden is great for it) --he struggled with the glands, and my dog wasn't even moving..not even a little. He's been in pain since the expression. For $36.00 I feel that we should have seen a veterinary technician. This is unfortunate as I love Dr. Gaston--but this trip was traumatic. Read Less

The staff of this hospital/clinic are unbelievable. I feel like they are family. They were so supportive during my recent loss. They also saved the life of a small kitten which someone brought in and now he is a big part of my life. Luckily I met him (Bob), took him home and we are having so much fun. I'm new to Dunwoody and asked locals for recommendations for a great vet in the area with long hours during the week, and weekend hours. Someone recommended Veterinary Medical Center. I had a great experience with Dr. Rebecca Gaston. She even went the extra mile and made a house call to come give my fur baby a shot for nausea!! This is the best veterinary center around. I have been coming here with my dogs and cats since I moved to the area in 1998. They have been professional, compassionate and informational. Sadly due to age and disease, I have had to put down some pets. VMC came to my home and explained the procedure and it was done gently and with the utmost kindness. I even adopted one of their many kittens they have rescued - Ms. Georgia Girl. So glad Dr. Joe is "keeping it in the family" and his son & daughter-in-law are now there too! I take my four dogs to this center.  Their hours are unbelievable, and you can save a lot if you have a late (9 p.m. weekdays) or weekend (Saturday and Sunday until 5 p.m.) emergency.  I trust them with all pet care.  Dr. Ferguson is my personal favorite! Read Less

The vets here are knowledgeable, staff is friendly, and it is a well run clinic.  However, you need to pay close attention to charges because your bill will run up in a hurry.  It has great hours, but is quite pricey. Read Less

We have had pleasant experiences on several occasions for annual checkups. But when our 12 year old dog got sick over the weekend, we were so excited to find they had wonderful weekend hours. The staff and the doctors are amazing.  So gentle with our skittish older dog. They explained everything and got us right in and out. Definitely would recommend to any pet owner. Look no further, you will not find a better facility! I currently reside in Buckhead and when my cat needed immediate surgery Dr. Tigyi and his crew where the only clinic within a 25 mile radius that was able or willing to take him. The whole staff is caring and attentive to not only the animals needs but the owners as well! Their main goal is the health of the animals that walk through their door and not about the money. The whole staff are saints! I live in Buckhead and I drove out of my way because my cat needed immediate surgery and they were the only clinic with an opening. We were being turned down left and right by vets saying they didn't have a surgery slot till the following week. Dr. Tigyi and his colleagues have all been taking phenomenal care of my cat. They keep you posted and don't do anything behind your back like I've experienced with other vets. They work with you if you're in a tight spot financially. I'll be 21 tomorrow and they are making the payments for two surgeries plus all the little things involved (meds, fluids, etc) much easier for me to pay off. Read Less

Best Vet in the Area!  We took our aging MinPin here for many years, and had wonderful care and compassion.  The facility is nice and clean, and the boarding was always professional.  It seems that the staff was always able to work us in when we needed an appointment.  We will continuing to use this Vet with our recent addition to our family.  Can't say enough good things! I don't know why this place has no reviews. I love it! My cat severely fractured her back leg and the cost of fixing it was way above and beyond what I could afford. Dr. Ferguson worked with me on a payment plan and was absolutely amazing with Beowulf! I love this vet. The staff really care about animals and their owners. This place is 45 minutes from my home, but I'm taking all my pets here from now on! Read Less
