They were very nice to me and my dog. They actually let him stay in the room with me while they did everything. My last vet always took him to the back and it caused him to freak out. The office itself was a bit dingy. Not outright dirty, but everything was old. My only issue here is the price. I spent $280 on a standard yearly exam and shots. Around a hundred of that was his heartworm meds, but it still seems very costly to me. I didn't even pay that much at my last vet, and they were a well established place in downtown Atlanta. So, unfortunately I don't think I'll be back. Sad because if only I could justify the price I definitely would be. Read Less

I am so impressed with this clinic. Dr. Sidner is very caring, thorough, and honest. The pricing is fair and economical. Vets have a tendency to overcharge and overprescribe, but not here. They also carry specialized pet foods at the same price as online retailers. An incredible convenience for patrons worried about their precious furry ones. Care is consistently on-time and thorough. My pup gets all of her medical and grooming needs taken care here and the whole staff is wonderful! I can call and talk to them about any concerns I may be having about my dogs health and they are very helpful. Our cats have been seen by Dr. Sidner since we moved to Athens in 1985 and Dr. Barker since he joined the clinic. We have always been pleased with the care and concern of both veterinarians and highly recommend this clinic. The staff is pleasant and helpful and all concerned obviously love animals. We wouldn't go anywhere else! As to the review that mentioned the clinic smelled like cat pee, I have a sensitive nose and I've never experienced that during any of my visits to Animal Medical Clinic. Even if I had, I know cat pee happens around cats and is certainly no reason to give a bad review for a business that doesn't deserve it. Dr. Sidner certainly seemed knowledgeable, but I don't think I'll be going back there. He was a little rough with my animals and he was a little hard on his technician, too. The appointment was really short-- less than 40 min. for annual exams for 2 cats and a dog, plus some tests & shots. That's both good and bad, I guess. Less stressful for your pet, but how thorough are they? The place also smelled like cat pee, which is a big turn-off. Beautiful facility though, and the prices were average to below-average. Edit: Later, a friend told me that Dr. Sidner misdiagnosed her adopted stray cat's pregnancy as worms.Read Less
