I made the switch to Boulevard from another veterinary hospital in town about a year ago when my dog had an allergic reaction to her internal spay stitches. Boulevard went above and beyond with pain management, and she healed quickly and comfortably. Since then, I've been consistently impressed with how knowledgeable the staff are. They are friendly and answer all of my questions; it is clear that they are following new scientific publications. The vets here are incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable. After a disappointing visit to another vet, we were absolutely floored with the difference in treatment given to us here. It was like night-and-day. We never felt rushed, even though it was so late already. Procedures were explained to us in detail before going ahead and applying it. Questions were answered in full. This dog is reactive and terrified of vets but everything was handled professionally and humanely. Thank you so much Ellie and staff for your kindness towards Happy. Boulevard has stellar customer service and a spot on understanding of dog behavior. They truly respect the dog and follow the dog's pace. Due to a time crunch involving my relocation out of state, I chose to go to a different vet for a simple blood draw as I was able to get in quickly. After having an extremely negative experience with how my fearful and anxious dog was treated, I chose to leave the hospital (without them successfully drawing blood) and schedule an appointment to finish the work with Boulevard. My dog has always had an amazing experience at Boulevard and he has left happy and fearless each time, regardless of the procedure. They went out of their way to ensure that we had a great experience by putting us in our room rather than making us wait in the lobby because Sasha does not like other dogs. They kept them distracted with biscuits through everything and neither dog seemed too stressed. I took my dogs here through college and law school. The entire staff is absolutely awesome. My dog started having seizures, and they explained that we would reach a point in all the testing where things would get really expensive but would not guarantee answers. My vet (whose name I cannot remember) never tried to push unnecessary procedures and truly listened to everything I said and asked. I felt so comfortable there and trusted her opinion. We eventually reached the point where the next line of testing would be over a thousand dollars. My vet and I agreed to stop there and see if her seizures progressed. That was about 4 years ago, and she has gone 11 months without a seizure. While they are still sad when they happen, she did not force us to medicate my otherwise healthy dog or pay for expensive procedure that wouldn't have told us anything new. My other dog had some weight issues, and they were great about letting us come in periodically (for free) to weigh her and make sure she was on the right track. I've since graduated and am SO disappointed to leave this office. No one will ever be as good as this office! Read Less

My daughter, a student at UGA, normally bring her dog home to McDonough for grooming and vet visits, but last week she took her dog in to Boulevard for a possible urinary infection. Tests confirmed a UTI, but they went much further with unnecessary tests and scared my daughter with suggestions of a possible diabetes diagnosis as well. Being a young woman in the veterinarians office with sick her best friend, and trusting their having her best interest at heart, not considering the dog is only in for a semi-emergency visit for a UTI, she let them team her for a $300+ bill when it should have been under $209. We have been going to Boulevard for several years. They have been there for us through everything. We had to put our beloved dog, Barkley, down the day before Thanksgiving and they were all so kind and genuinely caring towards us. They even sent a sympathy card signed by the entire staff. Love this place! Doctor Howard is awesome and so is her whole staff. They really care and take the time to completely understand the problem... My large dog doesn't warm up to people easily and they let her take her time and didn't force the examination. They gave her treats and spent a ton of time with her until she felt safe and wanted to play with them. My little dog had surgery today and they did a great job, kept me updated, and even gave my dog a certificate of bravery afterward lol. I would 100% recommend them! Read Less

I can't say enough good things about Boulevard. We took our cat Precious in as she wasn't eating and was getting scary thin. Dr. Howard actually asked us lots of questions and listened to our answers, and after some tests we determined she had a urinary tract infection. We had to give her an oral antibiotic (which wasn't at all fun as our cat does not like to be held, poked or prodded!) and the vet techs were really patient when helping show us how to give her the pill...even after three separate trips! We finally figured out how to get her the meds and she is over her infection and eating again! Much thanks to the folks at Boulevard Animal Hospital! I cannot say enough good things about Boulevard Animal Hospital! They were incredibly kind, accommodating, respectful, affordable, patient, caring, and helpful. The staff, vet techs, and the veterinarian were all just wonderful. My dog is a very old, neurotic rescue dog that does not like strangers and gets very scared at the vet's office usually. The first time we went here, they made my dog more comfortable than she had ever been, even more so than with her former vet of 12 years. Both the vet tech and the vet gave us their full attention, listening to my dog's whole life history, asking questions, and then giving me clear responses and letting me know about different options for her health and happiness. If you're on a budget then you shouldn't go here. Instead go to Winterville Animal Clinic. Boulevard Animal Hospital sells the seresto flea collar, medications, and shampoos at astronomical prices. My dog had a severe itching issue, that I have been spending several weeks doing everything (unsuccessfully) to alleviate. The vet sold us overpriced shampoo and prescribed my dog prednisone for 6 days. They tried to sell us the prednisone for more than twice the price then what the kroger pharmacy was selling. After a couple weeks the prednisone wore off and my dog's itching came right back. Then the vet suggested to either go on six more days of prednisone or spend $600+ for her to refer us to an allergy specialist to get an allergy test. Since I cannot afford to spend $600+ on this issue and six days of more prednisone was a short term fix I asked if she could give my dog a steroid shot. She refused because of "the risks" and she said if I went to another vet they would say the same thing and not do it. Several other dog owners suggested I go to Winterville Animal Clinic because they are practical and affordable. I did and the exam was less expensive. They also allowed for my dog to get a steroid shot that would last for the rest of the summer to alleviate my dog's suffering. They also offered to do an allergy test that would cost $120, not $600+, which my dog will do over the Winter season when my he is not itchy. Even the seresto flea collar was much more affordable at Winterville. Thank you to Winterville Animal Clinic. And thanks for nothing Boulevard, I'm sorry I wasted hundreds of dollars with you, and you did nothing to help my dog.Read Less

I love Boulevard. I have five pets that all frequent Dr. Howard's office! I lost my senior Shepherd in December, and the staff was so amazing. I will never switch vets and recommend them to everyone! Boulevard Animal Hospital was the best vet experience we have had. Mostly simply put, they make you feel like your pet is genuinely cared for. They openly answer questions to help determine what services and treatments are best (and necessary) for your pet. The treatment of clients and their pets is impeccable. Not too mention, prices are fair, and we never felt like we were paying for things unneeded. You get the feel of a traditional business that is into doing an excellent job and caring for customers in all they do. They run on service motives, not greed, and that makes all the difference. These guys took incredible care of our English Bulldog, Winnie. She was found on the side of the road in awful shape, and we bounced from vet to vet looking for someone who could properly care for her and understood her breed. These guys are the best. When she had to have an unexpected surgery (bulldogs are awful with anesthesia), we were extremely worried. Dr. Howard is seriously the best! I adopted a young dog from a lady that did not give me all the information I needed. So I went to Dr. Howard to have my new dog checked out. She ended up having serious heart worm and needed a serious treatment. Dr. Howard was understanding that it was a big issue for me to so she allowed me to pay ahead of time in payments for the treatment ( thank goodness).My dog went to to the vet and stayed for two days, they called and updated me both days on how my little trooper doing. I took my cat Leo here last week for the first time. Not only is the place conveniently located on Prince Avenue (next to Taqueria del Sol), but the customer service was absolutely fantastic. All of the staff members were very nice, and the facility was well decorated and very clean. They are also one of the most AFFORDABLE vets that I have ever been to. They care about your pets here.
