This was Christian first appointment to the veterinary and he did very well due to the staff who played with him and handle him with care. They loved him and he loved them back. No better clinic in my experience. It all started with DVM Monica Kucher. She took care of my dogs when she was at Companion Animal Hospital as a young Dr. I moved out of state for several years and when I landed back in Athens, I called the hospital and she was no longer in their employ. I called her cell and she immediately remembered me and my three dogs after years away...every detail. Her tradition continues with the awesome attention to detail and great doctors available. It's rare where you can go somewhere and be happy to see any of the Dr.'s. The entire staff is so friendly. They always make a point to say hello, recognize you by addressing you by your name. Best Vet clinic ever in my 30 years of needing Vet services! The staff are always welcoming with special touches for the owner with water and candy! The doctors are so compassionate and caring. My dogs feel at home when visiting the doctor. Our vet,Heather Falany D.V.M, gets on the floor to say hello to our furry children! 5 gold starts! Highly recommend them. Even when we had to put one of our pets, 17 years old, to sleep, the compassion poured out from the front desk, practice manager, vet tech, and Veterinarian. Good Hands has taken care of our dogs for the last 10+ years. They have been there with us for the good times and the bad. When we had to euthanize our dog, they were so very compassionate in this tough situation. Our new puppy and our rescue dogs are treated as part of the family. I have always felt confident with any of the vets on duty. The staff will call with follow-ups to make sure all is well after surgery or an emergency visit. I've been a customer at Good Hands since 2003.  I trust my animals with all of the doctors here.  Not only are they good at what they do, but they take the time to explain conditions, treatments options and answer all your questions.  Even if you think of another question after you leave, you can call Good Hands and someone will be able to clarify or leave a message for your vet--to which you'll always get a reply.  They have a lot of resources at this facility and can do most procedures on site.  When it is decision making time on what procedures to do, I get honest, comprehensive information from them and don't feel pressured or price gouged.    You get the sense that they love what they do, really care about what's best for your pet, and want to have a good relationship with you.   Also importantly, the support staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable.  Everyone is on the same page here and the quality of service is consistently excellent. I never planned on using Yelp to write reviews, really only to read them (I know, how selfish of me)... but when I saw that Good Hands did not have any, I just couldn't help myself.This place is fantastic! My dog wasn't even a patient of theirs, but when he needed to be boarded overnight they did not hesitate to take him in. The price was very reasonable ($20 for 24 hours) and they were flexible with the pick-up time. They even gave him a vaccine that he was due for and did not make a fuss about him not having a full examination there. They listed him in their system and sent me a reminder when it was time for his booster! Now thats what I call service! The women at the front desk are always kind and curteous and will do whatever they can to help out... and they love animals! If you email them, they respond right away and will even call you if you have more than just a simple question. All of their information is listed on their website, including a tour of the facilities. They have a small pet store and groomer on site. My dog now lives with my parents up in Maryland- that was always the plan- but I have since gotten a cat of my own and will definitely be taking him there! Read Less
