Our indoor cat was bleeding, which was her first injury in 12 years. We decided to try this vet and we were very impressed with their professionalism and thoroughness. Since we discovered the blood after work, we first called the UGA hospital, which was going to charge $200 minimum and certainly would have put the cat through all kinds of tests. The first sign we could trust Cat & Dog Clinic was that Alec asked us in detail about the cat's behavior, talked to the vet, and told us we could wait until morning instead of telling us we had to come in that evening. The exam fee the next day was just $43. When the cat was in distress, the vet decided not to over-examine her.Finally, they gave us the option of a one-time $57 antibiotic shot versus $30 for 2 weeks of pills 3x a day (pick the shot!). They also prescribed the cat pain pills with free Greenies pill pockets for her and even fed the first one there to make sure she would eat it. On top of all of this and a $120 bill for everything, the clinic made a follow-up call to ask detailed questions about the cat's recovery and has promised to call early next week to make sure there is no more pus or bleeding. We have never experienced such a detailed level of care. UGA has great facilities, but this vet has all the equipment you need for these types of more minor situations and you get a personal touch.Our dog may keep going to her normal vet, but this is where our cat will go from now on.

Purchased a Groupon for a Vet check and Shots for my Boxer (Dog). The Staff was very kind and welcoming, the Vet was professional and thorough. I had quit a few questions and he took every question seriously and looked over every concern that I had. The vet did not attempt to nickel and dime me and was honest and seemed very compassionate. I will be returning again.

The help we received from them was great , both my cats had 2 totally different emergency in 2 days. both which was pretty much life threatening.One was attacked by something outside and the other either fell out one of the very tall trees in the back or even possibly hit by a car. They were so helpful and caring. Both of my furr babies are still recovering here at the house and expecting to do fine THKS to Dr. Bennett and the crew there at the clinic. I was not impressed. The vet was not in any way gentle with my cat. He swabbed her ears, among other things, quite overly vigorously and she has been shaking her head the last 6 hours and was pressing her ear against her head for the about an hour after I got home. Also when I explained my reasons for not feeding hard food the vet argued with me about wether or not I should feed my 12 year old cat with lifelong crystals prescription hard food, okay, whatever, my previous holistic vet thought my cats diet was fantastic for two aging cats. My previous vets were always gentle with my cats. So, I won't be taking either of my cats back there, I'm sure there is a much more gentle and kind vet in Athens and am looking forward to meeting them.

Today was a very sad day for my son and me. We had to make the tough decision to euthanize 2 pets who were both suffering from congestive heart failure and kidney failure respectively. We had been customers at a clinic for over 16 years and were told it would cost around 90 dollars per animal. And being a senior citizen i explained to them i was on a fixed budget. But to no avail. We called another clinic which we had long patronized and they required an additional exam which made it even more expensive. So my son found the cat and dog clinic on Hawthorne Avenue which was great.They assisted us in a kind and professional manner and told us that their clinic would help all of their customers with euthanasia for free or at low cost.
We ABSOLUTELY would recommend them to anyone especially if you are in our situation don't hesistate to call them and if you live in this area they are prompt, professional, and they really care. They are NOT TOO BUSY to share your grief by showing compassion where it is most needed.

Ever since we moved to Athens, we have taken both our dog Zoe and out cat Zen to the Cat and Dog Clinic. They have always been gentle and fair with their pricing including estimates from the bare minimum to the entire exploratory cost. When I knew Zen was dying, we took him in to see what was going on. Dr. Stoppe was so compassionate and gentle. It was very heartbreaking for us, but extremely comforting at the same time. I highly recommend the Cat and Dog Clinic for your veterinary needs. From Vets to Techs, these folks truly care for their patients!

If you love your animals, these are your doctors! I would give them a million stars if it was an option. We rushed our cat to the clinic on a Saturday. That is score 1. They have weekend and extended hours that aren't after hour priced. Dr. Conrad diagnosed our Lucky's bladder issues right away, and was extremely reassuring. Our cat was deathly ill, and needed emergency attention. The doctor was willing to work with us, and created a financial plan that was more than fair. He didn't do anything to add to the bill that wasn't critical to Lucky's recovery. They were very reasonably priced to begin with, and more than anything else, concerned with Lucky's recovery and health. Dr. Conrad proceeded to call, and check up on our cat every day (sometimes multiple times a day) just to make sure he was doing OK. He was genuinely concerned. Lucky made a fast recovery, but today was showing some signs of relapse. I called, and Dr. Stopp recommended that I bring him in immediately. I'm glad I did! He was running a fever and starting to have complications with his bladder again. She treated him promptly, and was just as concerned, friendly, and knowledgeable as Dr. Conrad. Everyone at the office is just awesome! They immediately make you feel like family, and know how much you love your pet. I truly can't thank them enough for the love and care that they have shown Lucky. I give them the highest recommendation!

I had the wonderful experience of meeting Dr. Kasey Stopp. She is very knowledgeable and explains everything she is doing in detail. Unfortunately, our dog Max had some serious issues and had to be put down. Dr. Stopp provided much comfort in this decision and came to our home so that Max would not be afraid, but instead surrounded by his loving family. A week later we found a beautiful personally written note from Dr. Stopp in our mailbox. An amazing vet and person.

I recently decided to look for a new vet after I started feeling like my long-term, go-to vet wasn't cat (especially rescue), friendly. I had a very sick critter and was taking a chance on going somewhere new, but I decided to try the The Cat & Dog Clinic, and I am SO glad that I did! Not only did I feel like the technicians were great to my little rescue kitty, they were great to me and answered all of my "stupid" questions. I also felt their pricing was great for everything they did and they tried to only do what was essential to the visit without pulling out everything in the book to try and get more money crammed into one visit. Due to my critter's issues, I was there almost two hours and the techs and the Dr. Stopp were all patient the entire time. I highly recommend The Cat & Dog Clinic and will continue using them for my own critters!

If you love your cats as much as your children, then Dr Brousse at the Cat & Dog Clinic is your man! I have 4 cats & Dr Brousse has lovingly taken care of all of them since they were kittens. He's taken care of everything from a kitten who ate a toy & had it obstructed in his intestines, to a cat who, while I was at work, knocked over a bottle of laundry soap & decided to play in it & was covered from head to toe in blue soap & throwing up bubbles by the time I got home, to trying to treat kitty behavior problems. His staff is friendly & knowledgeable & very helpful. I recently moved out of the state & am very sad to have to leave such a great vet. I've had other pets & went to many other vets but have never gotten the service, care, & attention that I always received at the Cat & Dog Clinic. After I moved & hadn't had time to find a new veterinarian yet, Dr Brousse & his staff even helped me deal with one of my cats who was not adjusting well to the move. I cannot say enough nice things about this place!

They were so helpful and caring. Both of my furr babies are still recovering here at the house and expecting to do fine THKS to Dr. Bennett and the crew there at the clinic. I was not impressed. The vet was not in any way gentle with my cat. He swabbed her ears, among other things, quite overly vigorously and she has been shaking her head the last 6 hours and was pressing her ear against her head for the about an hour after I got home. Also when I explained my reasons for not feeding hard food the vet argued with me about wether or not I should feed my 12 year old cat with lifelong crystals prescription hard food, okay, whatever, my previous holistic vet thought my cats diet was fantastic for two aging cats. My previous vets were always gentle with my cats. So, I won't be taking either of my cats back there, I'm sure there is a much more gentle and kind vet in Athens and am looking forward to meeting them.

Today was a very sad day for my son and me. We had to make the tough decision to euthanize 2 pets who were both suffering from congestive heart failure and kidney failure respectively. We had been customers at a clinic for over 16 years and were told it would cost around 90 dollars per animal. And being a senior citizen i explained to them i was on a fixed budget. But to no avail. We called another clinic which we had long patronized and they required an additional exam which made it even more expensive. So my son found the cat and dog clinic on Hawthorne Avenue which was great.They assisted us in a kind and professional manner and told us that their clinic would help all of their customers with euthanasia for free or at low cost.
We ABSOLUTELY would recommend them to anyone especially if you are in our situation don't hesistate to call them and if you live in this area they are prompt, professional, and they really care. They are NOT TOO BUSY to share your grief by showing compassion where it is most needed.

Ever since we moved to Athens, we have taken both our dog Zoe and out cat Zen to the Cat and Dog Clinic. They have always been gentle and fair with their pricing including estimates from the bare minimum to the entire exploratory cost. When I knew Zen was dying, we took him in to see what was going on. Dr. Stoppe was so compassionate and gentle. It was very heartbreaking for us, but extremely comforting at the same time. I highly recommend the Cat and Dog Clinic for your veterinary needs. From Vets to Techs, these folks truly care for their patients!

If you love your animals, these are your doctors! I would give them a million stars if it was an option. We rushed our cat to the clinic on a Saturday. That is score 1. They have weekend and extended hours that aren't after hour priced. Dr. Conrad diagnosed our Lucky's bladder issues right away, and was extremely reassuring. Our cat was deathly ill, and needed emergency attention. The doctor was willing to work with us, and created a financial plan that was more than fair. He didn't do anything to add to the bill that wasn't critical to Lucky's recovery. They were very reasonably priced to begin with, and more than anything else, concerned with Lucky's recovery and health. Dr. Conrad proceeded to call, and check up on our cat every day (sometimes multiple times a day) just to make sure he was doing OK. He was genuinely concerned. Lucky made a fast recovery, but today was showing some signs of relapse. I called, and Dr. Stopp recommended that I bring him in immediately. I'm glad I did! He was running a fever and starting to have complications with his bladder again. She treated him promptly, and was just as concerned, friendly, and knowledgeable as Dr. Conrad. Everyone at the office is just awesome! They immediately make you feel like family, and know how much you love your pet. I truly can't thank them enough for the love and care that they have shown Lucky. I give them the highest recommendation!

I had the wonderful experience of meeting Dr. Kasey Stopp. She is very knowledgeable and explains everything she is doing in detail. Unfortunately, our dog Max had some serious issues and had to be put down. Dr. Stopp provided much comfort in this decision and came to our home so that Max would not be afraid, but instead surrounded by his loving family. A week later we found a beautiful personally written note from Dr. Stopp in our mailbox. An amazing vet and person.

This clinic is wonderful. My boyfriend and I moved to Athens a little less than a year ago and my Yorkie fell ill within a week of our move. We were broke and panicking, but this vet and his front desk associate were incredibly kind and patient. They helped us out immediately and then made payment plans for us until we got on our feet. They took care of our pup and now she is as good as ever!

I recently decided to look for a new vet after I started feeling like my long-term, go-to vet wasn't cat (especially rescue), friendly. I had a very sick critter and was taking a chance on going somewhere new, but I decided to try the The Cat & Dog Clinic, and I am SO glad that I did! Not only did I feel like the technicians were great to my little rescue kitty, they were great to me and answered all of my "stupid" questions. I also felt their pricing was great for everything they did and they tried to only do what was essential to the visit without pulling out everything in the book to try and get more money crammed into one visit. Due to my critter's issues, I was there almost two hours and the techs and the Dr. Stopp were all patient the entire time. I highly recommend The Cat & Dog Clinic and will continue using them for my own critters!

If you love your cats as much as your children, then Dr Brousse at the Cat & Dog Clinic is your man! I have 4 cats & Dr Brousse has lovingly taken care of all of them since they were kittens. He's taken care of everything from a kitten who ate a toy & had it obstructed in his intestines, to a cat who, while I was at work, knocked over a bottle of laundry soap & decided to play in it & was covered from head to toe in blue soap & throwing up bubbles by the time I got home, to trying to treat kitty behavior problems. His staff is friendly & knowledgeable & very helpful. I recently moved out of the state & am very sad to have to leave such a great vet. I've had other pets & went to many other vets but have never gotten the service, care, & attention that I always received at the Cat & Dog Clinic. After I moved & hadn't had time to find a new veterinarian yet, Dr Brousse & his staff even helped me deal with one of my cats who was not adjusting well to the move. I cannot say enough nice things about this place!
