Never take your animal to this vet. If I could give zero stars I would. Not only did they not do a full exam when I brought my newly adopted dog in but they also did not look over the records we provided. They are all about the money and not actually helping animals...luckily we found a new, much more thorough and caring vet. But because of their carelessness, he is now on 4 medications and being treated for heart worm that they never even realized he had. What used to be a great vet practice has seemingly switched from animal lover to dog lover. Every visit for the last 6-10 months, Dr. Daniels seems to want to do something that cost more money and seems useless. Today was the last straw. I brought my dog in for an intermittent diarrhea problem (that seemed better but I had made the appointment so I kept it). My visit with Dr. Daniels was 20 minutes late and lasted 6 minutes. There was a negative fecal test, so she suggested fluids, a probiotic, antibiotic shot, and take home antibiotic meds. I declined all of these for my 10 year old dog who showed no signs of dehydration. Thanked her and walked to the receptionist to pay the bill. $104!!! $20 for a fecal test, cool. $3 for disposal fee, cool. $79 for a consult fee, nope. $79 for 5 minutes of visit, no diagnosis, and a push for fluids and meds that didn't match the negative test. That is ridiculous! I told the receptionist to tell Dr. Daniels that this is why I would not return. Of course, there was no effort to call me about it either.Read Less

This is not about the veterinary care, this is about pet boarding.  We dropped him off on Thursday morning and picked him up Monday. That is the longest he's been boarded since we adopted him at 2 months old, he is six months old now. He's done doggie day care and loves it, at other places, and is first stay here was only 2 days but he came back happy as can be.  This time, he hasn't eaten but a couple bits of food, sleeps all day, is listless, depressed, won't play, is vomiting a little and his disposition is just not the same.  We don't know if he's traumatized about something, if he was kept in a small crate the whole time, we just know that this is not our option again when we have to go out of town. WE brought our Lab boy in for a rash he was getting annually due to an allergy. The doctor was the most caring vet I have ever been around. She gave him a checkup, gave us  some intel on food quality that our  other vet never even mentioned. With treatment his rash improved and was much better the next year because we got better meds and not just the free kind you can get from the  grocery store. But mostly our doctor really cared about the dog and it was obvious. Hes doing great, leaner with his same energy even though  he's going on 10. We credit his continued health to our  change in food and new health care provider. We were never rushed during a visit and spent nearly an hour with our vet and not a trainee. Read Less

Dr. Daniel is the best Vet I know!!!! My dog Sheba, an Italian Mastiff, had a very bad skin condition. I had been to another vet before I found Dr. Daniel. I was working with the other Vet for more than six months and spent more than $200 per visit, which was every two weeks, with no success. Dr. Daniel was able to diagnose and resolve my dogs issues within the first month!!!! Not only was she able to work cure my dogs skin issues she was able to work with my dog, which is not always easy. My dog is big and sometimes uncooperative. Hope this helps someone looking for a vet.I saved him this past weekend after a family could no longer care for him. Instead of having him go to the shelter, after meeting him I was ready to commit.Luckily I found Ambery Animal Hospital on Yelp. It was nearby and I liked the ratings and I'm glad i did some research before deciding. I called in a few Vets in Atlanta - they all seemed nice but their prices were affordable and were available to see Toby asap. I was super happy about this since I could tell he needed some flea help!I was able to bring in previous medical records and they were really great about explaining to me what shots were left for my puppy and even gave us a complimentary exam!Dr. Monica Daniel is super welcoming and made us feel welcome and her tech Bree(??) was super nice too.The receptionist is a sweetheart and was definitely accepting of all my questions.They were great about giving me price points before I did anything that would make my bank break - I spent around the amt. We started taking our "girls" ( Peke and Persian) to Dr Daniel about two years agio after receiving a personal recommendation from a friend. They have been wonderful and caring and we never have to worry about them when we leave them there to board - our Peke "Precious Pearl" gets estatic every time we drop her off - she loves the special attention the whole staff gives her and as cats are, Sophie would prefer to be home, but, she also thrives with the attention she gets.Dr Daniel is extremely patient and caring and the entire staff reflects these same qualities. I recently took both of my dogs to Ambery Animal Hospital and never felt so at home with your next door neighbor hospitality. I have two half pomeranian / pug which I took to have update shots on one and the other to find out why he was continuing to have seizures after taking him to another hospital and having no results. In the four years that I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Monica Daniel and her team at Ambery, our pets have received nothing but top-notch care. Dr. Daniel is incredibly knowledgeable about everything from animal psychology to seasonal risk factors that might affect your pet.  While Atlanta has many veterinary hospitals and practices, I take my dogs to Ambery because the small staff is genuinely concerned about our pets' best interests and have never tried to "up-sell" unnecessary medications or treatments. The fact we get to see Dr. Daniel every time we visit is a great too, as she has been able to observe our dogs over the years and build a relationship with us.I have called them on the phone on a few occasions with non-emergency questions about our dogs and each time, the person answering the phone has been incredibly helpful and friendly, even getting Dr. Daniel on the line if needed.Our dogs are important to us and taking them Ambery Animal Hospital for their regular check-ups and shots helps my husband and feel like we are giving them the best care possible. I do not write reviews very often, however, my precious little boy, my cockapoo insisted I do so.  I met Dr. Daniel in home depot where she visited with Winston.  I had no idea she was a Vet. until I asked.  She gladly spent time answering some questions I had, later she removed a cyst , Winston did great and loved her!!I moved leaving my old Vet. behind, they were very good but Ambery is extra special.  You know how you can tell?  Your pet will let you know.  I could of gone to a dozen other Vets between my house and Ambery, but I will drive the distance any time!  Dr. Daniel also treated Winston for a bladder inf. later. He layed on the floor wagging his tail as she spent alot of time talking to me about what she wanted to do.  Her experience and genuine concern for her patients is well noticed and appreciated! I adopted a min. schnauzer (Maceo) by from Fulton County three weeks ago, he was under weight, in need of a bath and a serious haircut.  I took him in to see Dr. Daniel and her staff at Ambery and was very pleased.  They were warm, welcoming and the visit went well.  Maceo's diet was changed and this threw his system off big time, so back to Ambery we went.  Prior to us taking him in, I called and told the tech what was going on with Maceo and the tech immediately put Dr. Daniel on the phone.  We talked and she made room on her schedule for that day to see him.  I am happy to say that Maceo is doing much better, he is putting on weight and is in good spirits.  Thanks Ambery Clinic! I kenneled my pit bull, Princess, at Ambery Animal Hospital over Thanksgiving week of 2010.  When I picked her up, she had several soars on her back left leg and her back left toenails were worn down to the quick and bloody.  Not only did the staff not bother to clean or bandage her wounds, they seemed to be completely unaware and offered no explanation of how this happened to her.  As a result, Princess's back left foot became chronically infected.  After several vet visits and thousands of dollars in vet bills, the infection spread and Princess's only options were euthanasia or amputation.  Princess's life was spared but lost her leg and her quality of life will NEVER be what it was prior to her stay at Ambery Animal Hospital. We LOVE the folks at Ambery!  We have two dogs, Parker and Cricket, and Dr. Monica Daniel and her team always take the best care of them!  We go to Ambery for regular check-ups, shots, got electronic tags and also board both dogs there.The team is super-friendly, always smiling and you can feel that they really care.  A special shout-out to Brianne who is such a lovely person, upbeat and full of positive energy!  Even shy and scared Cricket is able to wag her tail every time she sees Brianne!  The only slight negative is the size of the location - one exam room and a small waiting room where you don't have much room to navigate if you have a dog with behavioral issues.  BUT - with a small location comes VERY personalized and attentive service.  No one is rushing you out, but they really take the time to work with you.  It's also a bit dated - but very clean.  Again, it's a VERY slight negative for me and may actually be a positive when it comes to the service.  Like restaurants, often the best ones are the hole-in-the-wall dives that you go back time and time again.  The staff and service MORE than compensate!
