Dr. Morocco is so friendly and knowledgeable.  She really listens to you and takes your opinions and insight into consideration.  I feel like the prices are very fair and they do not pressure or recommend anything that is not necessary.  They also do not mind if you purchase medications online.  After being at a vet clinic that takes advantage of you and does not take good care of the animals, this place is a breath of fresh air!  The only downside is that they do not take new patient appointments on the weekends. We have been going to this vet since we moved to Atlanta in 2016.  We have a little 10 year old Yorkie Poo and he is the joy of our family so finding a solid vet was critical for my wife and I.  Ansley Animal Clinic is very knowledgeable, they care about our experience and our pup.  They make you feel important and will spend time with you and your pet to make sure all of your needs are covered. We have seen multiple people on the staff and they are all very good.  Definitely recommend, will be our vet of choice. Read Less

Extremely Hit-Or-Miss. It really depends on which veterinarian you get and there doesn't seem to be a way to consistently request and get a specific one. On the plus side, they're big enough and willing to work you in last minute if there is an emergency. On the negative side, they have a preferred online pharmacy and make it hard for you to work with cheaper and better ones (they won't approve by fax and make you come in to pick up a paper copy to snail mail to the online company (yes, the irony isn't lost on me either)). Not a very nice experience. My very pregnant wife left in tears after the doctor felt it was necessary to berate her during the consultation. The doctor seemed more interested in telling her what was going to happen than discussing the care. The conversation deteriorated and the Doctor's condescension was upsetting to say the least A call to management indicated that they were not interested in anything other than the obligatory customer service call and the defense of their associate. Needless to say we wont be back. Read Less

Everything about this experience was wonderful for me. I am a first time dog owner with a new puppy. I came to Ansley to get her vaccinations done--left with a personalized scheduled care report. Dr. Steen was full of helpful information and referrals for all things I was concerned about, as well as things I hadn't considered with my puppy's health. I didn't catch any of the vet assistant's names, but they were great with my dog..so great in fact that when she got her vaccination, she didn't even notice. After a really crappy experience at another vet, it was refreshing to go to a professional environment (with decent prices too!) where my puppy's health was the top priority. Disappointing experience and horrible customer service!First of all, we have used this animal clinic for over 5 years without an issue. We've had 3 dogs as clients and have spent over $2,500 during that period. Clearly, we love our pets.Well, we boarded Milo and had his ears checked and asked for grooming with nails clipped. When our Goldendoodle arrived home, he pranced through our home and left a trail of bloody paws on our floors and rugs!!I called Ansley Animal Clinic in a panic!  My husband noticed that the blood was originating from Milo's nails - they had been clipped too deeply and blood was everywhere! The office manager, Dorothy, dismissed the incident as a simple accident and told me to use corn starch to stop the bleeding - no apology, no offer to pay for cleaning of rugs, no offer for future services rendered gratis by Ansley. Fortunately, Dr. Coates overheard the conversation and called me and asked that Milo come in immediately. After a heated exchange with Dorothy, the office manager, I decided to take my issue to Yelp. I will not continue to support a business with someone like Dorothy at the helm. Read Less

The team at Ansley Animal Clinic is the best! While living in Atlanta from 1998-2007 Ansley looked after my baby kitties. Moving in 2016 back to the ATL the folks at Ansley Animal Clinic are as wonderful as they were 10 years ago. Feta, my 4 yr old kitty needed to have 5 teeth pulled a few weeks ago. Dr. Water€s excellent work has made the difference for Feta. She is running around, playing, like a new born kitten. Ansley obviously saw the issue instantly. My kitties get yearly checkups and nothing about her teeth was ever mentioned. Observing Feta€s behavior now tells me she had been in pain for a long time. Cats having a high tolerance for pain I was unaware she needed her little teeth pulled. I€m grateful for the continued follow up as Andrew and Allie checked in and answered any and all of my questions. Dr. Waters said during our post op visit how much better Feta would be feeling. My cat digested one of my capsule medications.  The Ansley Animal Clinic team advised me to contact animal poison control which I did,  They worked with the poison control team to ensure my little girl would receive the best possible care and the protocol for treating a potential drug overdose.  Needless to say, I feel terrible that I allowed one of my medications to fall on the floor but cats and dogs love the capsules and will ingest  them.  My advise is to be very careful when taking any medications, If you don't notice it, it can kill your beloved pet.  Thankfully, my cat is currently doing well.  They gave her an IV along with activated charcoal to bind the drug so it is not absorbed into the blood stream.  I hope to pick her up in a couple of hours.  I can't thank Dr. Scott and the team at Ansley Animal Clinic enough for the awesome care.  I have been going there for over 20 years and would go no where else unless it was absolutely necessary based on their recommendation.  God bless the doctor's and staff!!Michael Smith Read Less

Dr. Miracle is amazing. I haven't experienced many vets willing to get on the floor to examine your dog. I've never felt rushed in an appointment with her. That said, other reviews have pointed out long wait times, and this has been the case a few visits. I feel that if you're there more than once or twice a year like we are, you'll notice this more, but certainly if you book on a Saturday, forget about getting in and out. This definitely seems to be the busiest day. Book early on Saturday or before lunch during the week. It is also true they have a small waiting room, but unless your pet is aggressive with other animals (like one of mine is), this really isn't a huge issue. When we have to take our aggressive dog in, we let them know we're waiting in the car and they send a tech out to take us in through the back of the clinic. Not problem there. I've lived in Atlanta over 7 years now, and I've taken both my dogs to other vets around town. I've experienced either terrible medical care, terrible front of house service, or both. As far as veterinary practices in midtown Atlanta, I'm convinced Ansley is one of the best. Despite what other reviews claim, if you let the doctors know you're on a budget, they will respect that (not to mention, their prices are already quite competitive). Ansley has definitely saved us money in treating and diagnosing one of our dog's chronic skin issues. If you want doctors who genuinely enjoy cats and dogs, appreciate you aren't made of money, and a consistent and pleasant staff, give Ansley a try. Read Less

I am a very harsh critic I'm a military man who had the unfortunate experience of handling highly trained K9s in Iraq, The war being the unfortunate experience not the K9s.  These people have handled three of my personal dogs and you could not ask for a better more compassionate well-trained staff than what you will find at this location if you go to any other location you're selling yourself , your dog short or cat for that matter. They are always polite, on time, generous, gracious and kind and I could keep going on and on but they love my dog as much as I love him as much as he loves me and when I leave him in their custody for whatever reason I can rest assured that he's going to come back 110 times better than he was before. I'm not trying to sound rude but you would be dumb to go anywhere else. I am an Army Ranger and as I said praise does not come easily from me but if I could give these guys an Oscar, a Nobel prize, hell even the medal of honor for what they've done for my dogs I probably would hang it around their neck forth with. you have a customer for life, and a friend as well. It's seems that most people tend to only take to social media in regards to a business when something goes WRONG, but For that reason especially I think that people should try to think to commend businesses for doing a great job, as well. That being said, I just want to rave on Ansley Animal clinic. I think everyone should have a regular vet that they stick to for obvious reasons, and AAC has been my go to for 7-8 years now. They have an incredible, kind, and professional staff... They certainly show that their hearts are in what they do... And they do it well! I can't say that my boys have ever ENJOYED trips there, but they usually seem grateful afterwards haha. I had used this vets office for over a decade and never had an issue until recently. I was trying to adopt a dog that me andmy family had fallen head over heels in love with from a rescue and they told the rescue that they had never heard of me and that they never took care of any of my furbabies. They had three of my cats in their care for over a decade. Needless to say, the rescue declined my family from adopting due to what the front desk called "a miscommunication" . Now I have tried to make an appointment for my dog to be seen and explained that he was ill and they told me they had no appointments for six days. I reiterated that he was very sick and she said "sorry nothing until then" and then she hung up. I am heartbroken that after over a decade of having a vet that I truly did love, that this is what they have become and I forced to pick another vet.Read Less

This review is hard to write, as it deals with having to put my dog to sleep. I have to say that Ansley is not my primary vet but with that said, they were very accommodating. My beagle of 17 years was at the end of his life span due to kidney failure. My wife and I knew we had to do the unthinkable and put our beloved family member to rest. The reason I chose Ansley is a friend of mine highly recommended them. Also they only charge $40.00 for euthanasiation  compared to $100-$195 what others charge(my regular vet quoted me $150 and my dog weighs under 25lbs) Unfortunately, money is extremely tight this time of year, and we wanted to also cremate him which is also around $170.00. I'll be honest, I didn't know what to expect considering the $40 price tag( after all you always hear you get what you pay for) Well I have to say that I was very touched in the manner that they handled putting my dog down. I never felt rushed. Dr.Wood who handled the process talked us through and told us what to expect and patiently answered all our questions. I am happy to say that my dog transitioned to the afterlife very peacefully. Dr.Wood showed much compassion. The rescue group I work with has used ansley for many years and have always been super Satisfied! The vets, the techs, and the staff are always go above and beyond for every animal and every case. Each animal gets the care as if it were the only animal in the world. I wanted to praise them for an action I witnessed today: a young lady came in. Her poor dog had been hit by a car. I'm not sure if she was an existing client or not. But the response and compassion to her, her husband(?), and their dog was of no comparison. I'm not sure on the outcome of the pup (I'm going to tell myself that the dog made it! Don't tell me otherwise!) But the attention and care Ansley Animal Clinic Staff paid to her in her most desperate hour was astonishing. They handle this crisis and didn't miss a beat! Which is typical for ansley! Turned away.  I have never been to a veterinary clinic and been turned away, regardless of the reason.  I stopped by the clinic first thing this morning to see a vet. My dog was acting painful and having several, non-emergency, but potentially serious symptoms of an intestinal blockage.  The receptionist confirmed that I was a new patient and that they were slap full of appointments and couldn't make any time for us until Monday -- 4 days away!  I asked what happens when a current patient comes in with a similar case, like a lesion that needs stitches? Do they turn them away as well?  No, she said they make room for them.  It's absolutely absurd that you can not accommodate new appointments and also crazy that you don't expect them on a daily basis.  I've read several other reviews on Yelp and it seems like the biggest complaint is that there are too many appointments scheduled to accommodate.   This place is busy all the time; appears like they're focused on profits, not patient care. We have taken our dog here several times for the same issue after spending x amount of dollars the issue remains. This place prescribed the wrong medicine on the first visit, the second visit was a small fortune as we had to do blood work to find the underlying cause of the problem, we did and were prescribed another medication. To make a horrible and long story short the problem has not been solved and we are now dealing with a much better vet. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your animals treatment.  This place is only here to make money and could honestly care less about the pets. Unfortunately I did have to give one star or otherwise it would have been none. Read Less

My normally sweet, people-loving cat gets scared at the vet, and this leads to hissing and growling (though never biting or scratching, to my knowledge). Because of this fearful antagonism, Ansley Animal Clinic tells me it left my kitty in a small cat carrier for two hours after a procedure, lying in feces and urine. Ansley's response to my concern for my poor animal is to characterize this as an acceptable way to "monitor" frightened pets for possible medical complications. UPDATE: The owner's note below reflects a similar response I received. She seems sincere in depicting it as a mistake (rather than an acceptable practice, per the first conversation) that my cat came home in waste product. Read Less

I have been taking my pets here over 3 years now. I have 2 dogs, and had 3 cats, all cared for here. Today my 15 year old cat, who was my buddy, had to go to the afterlife.  have never dealt with this for my pets, I have been present for someone else's dog euthanasia a few years ago and dreaded the idea of this one day for any of mine. Today I got home around 1:00 p.m. to find my Jojo wailing and shallow breathing. I knew on the way there that this was his final hour, with still hope. I drove over to Ansley in the time it take to form a sentence. The office was already closed but there were some staff members finishing paperwork and that is when I realized they had closed. I was too distraught to call and check. They let me in as soon as they spotted me, and I was quickly tended to.  I cannot now recall the vet's name, as I was too focused on my cat. She was super attentive and quickly gave him assessment and noticed kidney swelling, etc. She gave me all options for further  diagnosis, but I knew it was time to let go. He had given me all the love he was set out to share and it was time for him to go where cats roam. They gave me the time required to come to terms with the decision and tended to Jojo with such tenderness. I fell apart and my friend was able to join, and we finally moved to the final injection. It is one of the hardest moments of my life right now, but I am glad of how we were treated, not rushed, not hounding me for payment while I am still grieving. I am appreciative of them and now more than ever. Read Less

I am a new mommy to a Greyhound, and was referred to Ansley Animal Clinic by a fellow Greyhound owner. I was weary of where to go since Greyhounds tend to be a little different than other breeds. My experience at this clinic was fantastic from start to finish. All of the ladies at the front desk are great and very knowledgable. I did not have to wait around for a long time to get into the exam room or for the doctor to come in. We were visited by Dr. Liz Wood, and she was extremely patient with all of the questions I had! I also didn't feel like she was trying to over-sell me on a certain medicine, and offered different options that were easier on the wallet. She also shared what she personally uses for her dog. As if the experience wasn't fantastic enough , I just received a hand written note from our Dr welcoming us and praising how sweet my new dog was. ----------------PLEASE READ------------------- My cat got sick one night, so I brought him in first thing in the morning, to this vet. When I explained what was wrong, the vet said that a lot of times, cats will swallow strings, and you just have to look under the tongue to see if it's caught. That was the first thing she checked, but when my cat squirmed a little too much, she simply moved on to the next possible problem. 5 minutes later, she said to leave him for observation and that they would do some bloood work ($600). The next morning, a different doctor took a look at my cat, because something didn't seem right, and sure enough, found the string a few minutes later. She recommended emergency surgery. Had the first vet done her job correctly, I wouldn't be out $600 and wasting valuable time. By the time my cat had the surgery, the string had been in his system so long, the procedure was much more expensive than expected. $4000! I asked the vet if we had found the string sooner, if it would have been less complicated/expensive, and the doctor replied with an assertive ""OH YES."" She then went on to say that if you catch these things soon enough, often you can just pull the string out of the cat, free of charge. The vet I had (the quick on) was an older lady with dark hair. To add some salt to the wound, a few days later they called me back and said that my cat's kidneys were going to fail (according to the bloood work), and without help, he would die in 3 months. With their help, he might live 6 to 9 months. After receiving a similar pitch with the exact same cost and time frame (for something completely different), I decided to not spend the extra $1000, the two vets wanted for each treatment. It has now been 18 months, and either I have a bionic cat, or these people play with people's emotions to generate business. ====THE GOOD NEWS===== I've since been extremely happy with the Atlanta Humane Society, where money is not the motive for treatment. When I asked them for their typical price for removing a forign object, they quoted me a flat rate of $600. Had I only gone to them first, I may have been out the door the same day with a healthy cat, not to mention save $4000. Always remember, being a vet is a business. Buyer Beware. Read Less

I took my cat and new dog there in late September for annual shots and got just about the worst service ever. I went at a time where it wasn't too early or near closing time and still got the ""it'll be just a minute"" thrown in my face at least three times. The techs kept bustling in and out and throwing instructions in the front staff's faces with zero patience. The vet who was supposed to be seeing my pets was nowhere in sight - I waited for an hour and fifteen minutes. I didn't see the people I had usually seen at the front when I was just there for my cat- not that it really bothered me (I dare dream that the management are bossy and have stiff selection standards), until the girls up front ignored me and one other pet owner completely and loudly started a conversation about tabloid garbage after my check-in. I don't think the front desk staff have the right person for the ""new"" front-desk manager. I believe her name is Jen. This girl represents the clinic badly. I personally would never put a person with visible tattoos and gaudy attire in the main entrance of a public establishment. Aside from the punk-like dressup, she really had a snappy attitude, rolled her eyes (I have an eagle eye on newbies when it comes to my loved ones) when she turned back to the other front-desk staff (something about a couple questions she obviously demmed stupid from a pet owner) and started a conversation about personal issues in her life (I could probably profile her from what I heard). I didn't say anything to the vet once I got my loved ones seen, but I will say this: Ansley is no longer on my good side. I reccommend other establishments- try any other really- just make sure you don't go too out of your way, have good prices and no drama queens who greet you. Good luck! Read Less

""Scout Finch"" has had puppy skin problems, cancer and now end of life care issues and they have always taken the time to make sure that I understand and am comfortable with their treatment. Because of this personalized attention and the fact that many other people have the same love of Ansley it may take a little longer to get to in to your appointment, but it is 100% worth the wait and far better than being rushed in and out to keep on a 30 minute per pet schedule. Also, I lived 2.5 hours from Atlanta for several years while at grad school and after trying 2 vets that were local I decided to make the drive (5 hours round trip) to Ansley because for the difference in care, service and professionalism. For those with negative reviews I hope that by going to other vets you have seen the error in your ways and have returned to Ansley (or realized that everyone has an off day, even the best vet in Atlanta). I was extremely disappointed with this clinic. The staff at Ansley Animal Clinic were extremely disorganized. The vets rushed us out the door with a prescription and did not take the time to answer my questions about my puppies condition. When I called back for clarification on the condition and dosing instructions, I received an ""I don't know"" in response to my questions, with no attempt to try and find the answer. I thought my question was something a vet's office should be able to answer: ""What type of parasite was found in the fecal test?"" I was also told: ""It's not a big deal"" and ""The medicine only costs $8"" This last comment really upset me because I was concerned about the health of my puppy and not the cost of the medication. When I tried to explain that, the staff said they would have a vet ""call me back"", which never happened. I would not recommend this vet to anyone, especially first-time pet owners. Read Less

Dr. Brower is fantastic! She is very caring and compassionate. I brought my rescue Husky in to her the first time because I felt a lump on his chest. She quickly diagnosed him with cancer, most likely lymphoma. I opted to have the tumor surgically removed in hopes that we were able to get it. Sadly, the tumor was much more involved than we thought. After an initial upswing post-surgery, my Husky began to decline rapidly. When we discovered large tumors infringing upon his heart and lungs, we made the decision to give him peace that day. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated her professionalism and strength. She not only managed Kodi's quality of life, but she took care of me too, knowing how difficult this was for me. I cannot sing her praises enough! The staff at Ansley Animal Clinic are terrific!!

Read Less

Don't tell me otherwise!) Turned away. This place prescribed the wrong medicine on the first visit, the second visit was a small fortune as we had to do blood work to find the underlying cause of the problem, we did and were prescribed another medication. Read Less

Read Less

Can't say enough about Ansley Animal Clinic and the people that work there. Ansley has provided first rate care for our pets over almost two decades, including inevitably and sadly, easing their passing when it's time. Routine appointments are not hard to schedule - you don't have to wait weeks. And emergencies have been handled immediately on several occasions. We've had favorite Ansley veterinarians over the years, but really, all of them have been great.I was really saddened when I heard about the death of Elliot, the clinic kitty. I wasn't to impressed what I read so a friend recommended Ansley. I called the next morning and they got me in by mid afternoon. My experience was more than 5 stars. From the receptionist to the vet techs and finally seeing Dr Waters, they assured me all would be ok. I can't say enough to the whole team for making my dog better. I give the whole clinic a 10!!! I'm a sucker for personal touches like this and definitely will not go elsewhere! Read Less

Since moving back home from out of state we have been in search for a veterinary for our pup Kai. Today we had a wonderful experience with Ansley Animal Clinic. Great, clean atmosphere and friendly staff! My pup Kai loved all the green space around the building since the clinic is right next to Piedmont park. He got his annual shots and did wonderful and was rewarded with lots of treats. So happy to find a great place for my fur child! p.s. For Atlanta this place has tons of parking, extra bonus!

Good luck! Read Less

So wonderful that when it came time, he came to my house to put my pet down per my request. Just amazing. Even the front desk staff have been there for years, little turn over so that says alot. Since Dr. Woody is not there as much, and I ahve gotten a new dog, I see Dr. Squires and he is just as good. They are caring, they take the time to know your pet and are very thorough. Unlike other places that make you pay monthly fees or take your pet back while you are in the wiating room (which always seems squirrely to me), they are the BEST! I have referred all of my neighbors and we all agree, we wouldn't go anywhere else. I have been going to Ansley Animal Clinic for over 13 years now with the same dog and the staff (Ann & Dr. Woody) have been amazing the whole time. We have been going to Ansley Animal Clinic for over 15 years. Dr. Woody (as well as all of the other vets) have taken time to know not only our pets, but also our family. He's helped us through a cat with many more than nine lives, and four dogs with problems that always arise. He always discusses ALL of the options, and is never afraid to tell us what each costs, understanding that while we love our pets dearly, money doesn't grow on trees. Sometimes we've had to wait, even though we've had an appointment, but that happens anywhere. I'd rather wait and know that my vet is taking time with the appointments, than be rushed in and out so they can stay on schedule.

I have been to a few vets around Atlanta but was never thoroughly satisfied. Now, I will never use another vet. They are wonderful.
