I am really trying to give this place a shot since it is now the closest to my house. They aren’t rude, it’s just very poor communication. I specifically came here today as a walk-in and asked if I could buy the medication I know works for my dog. Now after being charged $82 for the walk-in appointment and being told that they have to test my dogs ears for what’s causing the problem (it’s always yeast) that they do not carry the medicine that I was told they had and am being charged $262 so far for what usually was a $70 fix. Time to re-evaluate this place. It may be worth the drive. I will update if I am proven incorrect with the needless ear wax investigation..... So I went to another Vet and it is yeast. My mother's sick cat was brought here 6 months ago. After 2 visits she left thinking an antibiotic and a nasua pill would be the answer. She had to end up taking her cat to an emergency pet hospital, Treehouse didn't even transfer the disk with his x-rays. Very poor customer service and very poor communication. Read Less

Treehouse Animal Clinic was recommended to me by my realtor when I moved to Atlanta. The staff are always kind and attentive to me and genuinely nice to my kitties, even when my kitties aren’t so nice back. When Bosley was 12 he was diagnosed with diabetes. Dr. White made sure I knew how to test Bosley’s blood sugar, and how to inject him with insulin. He printed information, he wrote down instructions, and he gave me websites to help teach me how to take care of a diabetic cat. Dr. White was always quick to return my phone calls and to research solutions for the many problems that arise with diabetes. I had another five years of quality time with Bosley because Dr. White took the time to make sure I was knowledgeable and comfortable in taking care of Bosley’s special needs. When Bosley passed Dr. White sent me a heartfelt condolence note that I will keep with Bosley’s picture and favorite toy forever. Read Less

Super nice staff and vets. They treated our little motley crew, (an elderly Springer Spaniel, a rotund Golden Retriever and a mischievous Maltipoo,) with tender loving care. Dr. White and his team are super attentive, kind and thorough with any questions you might have - big or small. The pills our old girl needs might be a tad pricey, but that's on the pharmaceutical companies, (I researched it.) If I could give Dr. White a negative star I most definitely would. I took my 7 month old puppy I rescued from the shelter to this animal clinic for a wellness puppy exam. My puppy was barking and scared and I told the vet tech all of her issues. The vet walked into the room and my dog started barking at him and he immediately said let me have the leash so I can take her on a walk. He didn't let her smell him he didn't show her any signs she didn't need to be afraid of him. So he took the leash and took no more then 4 steps outside the room and came back said "are you sure you want to keep her?" This was the first red flag, but I let it fly. He took a look at her vaccination record and said let's give her a DHPP and leptospirosis vaccine. I trusted that he was looking for my puppy's best interest. My puppy just had a DHPP vaccine at 4 months with all of her other vaccines yet he wanted her to have another one. Now, he had a smirk on his face when he recommended these two vaccines and at the time I didn't understand why but after I looked up some information it's because he was doing it for the money. Research shows you should never give the leptospirosis vaccine with any other vaccines. Mr. White chose to give her the leptospirosis vaccine and the DHPP vaccine (which she already had) both at the same time. His recommendations were to gain money for his business and he wasn't looking out for my puppy like a vet should do!! He was being a shady businessman Definitely be weary of this vet!! Read Less

We brought our elderly cat here for about 2 years for subcutaneous fluid treatments for kidney failure.  Four stars for courteous & caring service for these treatments.  No complaints.However, our cat eventually developed a suspected tumor and stopped eating along with some other troubling ailments.  Therefore, the vet recommended a biopsy.  I wish that the doctor had informed us about how long and painful the biopsy would be.  They took our cat to another room and we could hear her crying in pain for at least 5 minutes which seemed like hours.  Apparently biopsies are done without any anesthesia? If we'd had any idea of how painful the biopsy would be we wouldn't have done it.  Our goal was to keep our cat as comfortable as possible for as long as she had some quality of life.  She was elderly so it was unlikely that we were going to put her through surgeries or chemotherapy at this stage of her life.  So...Be warned.  Ask questions if you are considering a biopsy.  And if your cat is elderly and you already suspect that you will not put the animal through cancer treatment--do not proceed with a biopsy. Our only regret is that we put our loving pet through such excruciating pain and agony when it should have been avoided.  If only we had known that it was such a painful procedure.  I wish the doctor had informed us. We have been taking our pugs, Jackson & Cheyanne here since they were puppies. Dr Hugh White is compassionate and devoted to caring for your pet, and the pet parent. We recently had to have some teeth removed for Cheyanne. Knowing my uneasiness about anesthesia, he took the time to explain the procedure, what to expect before and after, and when I left I felt he had her best interest at heart. The surgery was a success and Cheyanne recovered within a few days. Just as he explained to me, she will have more playfulness, and have many more years ahead of her. We love our animals and I wouldn't take them anywhere else. Treehouse Animal Clinic is the best!Read Less

Treehouse treated our cats Puddy Tat, Noddy, and JelliCat for over 20 years. The technical expertise offered by both doctors and techs was excellent, but just as importantly they were kind and caring. They never pushed any treatment that was excessive or unnecessary. I could always trust that the welfare of the cat came first, and the human second - which was just the way we hoped it would be. Thanks to them JelliCat got the proper cancer treatments that gave her quality of life and an additional 4 months (died at 15 yrs.). Puddy Tat survived cancer and died of old age at 21. Noddy survived pancreatitis and thyroid disease to die at 20. If I ever have another beastie, I will certainly return to Treehouse. Read Less

This is by far the most expensive vet I have ever taken an animal to. I was blown out of the water by the bill. Almost $250 for a basic exam and a rabies shot. After examining my bill, I noticed I was charged $70 for the vet examining my cat's ears. They took one swab and the vet wasn't even able to look into her ear with a scope, but still charged me. This exact same appointment cost me $50 at my last vet. The service was sub par and completely not worth the money. Read Less

One of the most amazing veterinary staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and utilizing their services. They won me over when I took and elderly, blind, malnourished, diabetic cat with kidney failure whose humans had left in an empty apartment to die with no food or water. He had been at my house for the weekend eating salmon and tuna, sleeping in a pile of fluffy pillows with human contact 24/7 but it was his time to go. Intact the vet said the people who had him had let him suffer a while. I told the vet that I am a student, very limited and small income and I didn't know how I was going to pay for all the services. They said they really appreciated that someone would do what I did for a cat most would claim was dead and a waste of time...they said they would honor my kindness with kindness of their own...and they did. What they did was offer me thanks, relief, and helped that kitty end his suffering. They worked out the cost of the service in an agreement that didn't kill my budget and gave that kitty the calm end to his suffering. When I lose faith in humanity, I think of them.Read Less

The cost of this at other vets would be around $3-400. It only cost 75--100 here with a $65 exam fee. The vet was hot too. They have been treating our cat, Tuna Luna, for almost 10 years now.  We live in the Moores Mill area and the clinic is located at the very end of Moores Mill on the left. Facilities are clean and everybody is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have a very successful practice and I think its for a reason. They know what they're doing. I've been going there for 3 years and it is by far the most expensive vet I have ever been too. Im not sure what justifies the cost because the service seems pretty average. The staff was amazing to Jericho and handled him very well. They were very nice on the phone as well as upon arrival, which makes me feel good. I've been bringing my dog here for years and have seen every vet at the facility. They are all great! Very supportive, caring and gentle with my geriatric dog. I'm always shocked at checkout because the prices seem high, but I've encountered higher prices at other places. The location isn't bad, but parking lot is small and sometimes hard to navigate. A downside is that, while I always arrive on time for my appointment, I usually have to wait at least 15 minutes before getting into a room. Very annoying, especially if you're on a time schedule. They genuinely care about the well-being of the animals they see and have always been very upfront and honest about the care of my pet. I definitely recommend this place to others. Read Less

Dr. Partido is outstanding and ALL the front staff folks are great. The only downside is YOU have to be very careful to ask about cost up front and as the visit is going on. Other docs at Treehouse have recommended tests and meds that don't give any insight as to what is going on or why the problem is happening. Also, the problem might not get fixed and you have spent several hundreds of dollars. It is important that YOU are an educated advocate on behalf of your pet. Read Less

I've been going here for my three cats and they do a very solid job.  The vets are well regarded, friendly and you can tell they care.  Sometimes they seem to push medicines that end up dusty on my shelf, but I'm learning my lessons and, frankly, many vets do that too.  Prices are comparable to any vets I've been to.. not high and not low. Loved the veterinarian. Unfortunately that's about it. As for the location it's in a very sketchy area.  I saw several bums hanging around. As for the professional staff, that was non existent from the office manager. We were quoted a price over the phone and it ended up being over $300 (2x the price quoted). They kept asking who we spoke as to try and pass the blame. That clearly wasn't the issue. To make matters worse we waited for two hours to get  the $300 in vaccinations. Then when we asked about a payment plan they treated my wife like a second class citizen. I happened to work in the medical field and would highly recommend against this location based on our humiliating experience. Read Less

I have had some very good experiences here.  I have a house cat that acts feral that I could not get into a cage to take to the vet.  Other vets said I had to have an appoint, but that's not possible with this cat, as I never knew if I would be able to catch her.  When I finally did, I rushed her over to treehouse and they saw her.  I know this is not their normal practice, but I was able to get my pet evaluated the only way possible.  They went out of their way to help me.I've also taken my other  cat here for regular care, and they explained everything, it was very nice. We live in Buckhead and initially chose Tree House because of a referral from a friend and because of convenience. For the last two years, we have been seeing Dr. Carol Lipinski for our 2 year old Springer. Not only have we received good medical attention for our dog, but Dr. Lipinski has been helpful in making suggestions on behavior modifications for some issues we were having with our big puppy. She is kind to our pet, respectful and considerate to me and my children, and I think thorough in her examinations. Also, we love the staff at Tree House as they are all friendly, especially Christie. We would not consider taking our pet anywhere else! Read Less

November 1, 2011 My husband and I have been taking our 3 dogs to Treehouse Animal Clinic for the past 11 years. Dr. Hugh White takes care of them in such a great manner ? you can tell he really loves animals. He has such a calming demeanor with our dogs. Moe, Tootsie and Roscoe absolutely love him and we all enjoy going to Treehouse for all their checkups and shots. Dr. White is always so helpful. He explains everything in detail (in everyday language so I can understand what is going on) and that ensures that we are able to give our dogs the best care possible. Dr. White is never in a hurry and he spends as much time as is needed. He also follows up with phone calls about blood results which I really appreciate and is always happy to fax the results to me. This is extremely important since I have an 11 year-old Male Border Collie with Diabetes and a 3-year old male Border Collie mix with thyroid problems. For the record, these are my children and I want their doctor to be the very best and Dr. Hugh White is the VERY BEST VETINARIAN THERE IS!!! The staff is great and they display top notch customer service skills. They really care about animals and it definitely shows in the compassionate way they do their jobs. Absoutely terrible. Worse than a cheap used car mechanic.Completedly duped me. charged me way more than what they initially said they would.  They would not even show me what I was paying for until they ran my credit card. I'm the idiot for trusting them. Staff was rude and completely unknowledgable the procedures they performed on my cat. I asked the technician what was performed in a comprehensive health exam and they couldn't tell me.I called Dr. Lipinski and told her about my experience and she acted like I was lying. Never go here. there are many great vets in the same neighborhood.I'm embarrassed that I tried this place just because they were cheap. Sometimes 'cheap' isn't worth it. Read Less

besides being rude, they are only out to cheat their pet owners. They charged me $59 for a health exam without telling me they were going to perfom it. When i asked what the exam entailed, they couldn't tell me. Completely unapolegetic about it. There is a reason there are soo many bad reviews about this place. I called Carol personally, and she called me a liar in so many words. totally a low budget operation. I wish i still lived close to Ansley Animal. They are expensive, but at least they are honest. Treehouse Animal clinic has been treating my dog since early February on the basis that he was not eating, throwing up food and losing significant weight. It is now April, my dog lost 1/3 of his body weight. He weighed 60 pounds going into this and now weighs 40. We took him there again (possibly the 8th time since early February) and after the vet checked him out she said everything feels fine and gave us meds for nausea. The same night we were at the 24 hour emergency animal hospital bc he was convulsing, and basically dieing of malnutrition and in serious pain. We immediately called them 3 0 mins prior to closing and no one would answer the phone. The vet at the emergency Animal hospital immediately found a lump in his abdomen just by feeling him, and now he is dieing from a rare form of colon and stomach cancer. We had the hospital preform all the tests Treehouse did all over again. Being bloodwork and x-rays, whom treehouse did x-rays two weeks prior to the hospital visit and said they could find nothing. However, the emergency animal hospital did the x-rays and said they were very abnormal. They then followed with an ultrasound and found a tumor in his intestines, which has been causing his weight lose and continuously throwING up his food. They immediately did surgery and removed the area; however, they found what looks to be the same thing in his stomach. There for it has already spread. If we would of taken our dog somewhere else months ago he would have a better curing rate and result of almost 100%. One should never take there pet to animal house unless they don't care about their pet and just want to pay a lot of bills. I now have several medications that are of no use or need, which I have spent several dollars on. P.S. Their sentinel and advantage prices are very high compared to other vets. Read Less

I have had many very frustrating experiences with Treehouse. While the vets are great, the staff has not kept accurate records of medicines that were given when my animals were boarded, tried to overcharge me for doses, and have not been overly helpful or sympathetic. This has happened a number of times until I finally decided they were not worth their high prices and close location. We've recently switched to a vet clinic that is further away but is more reasonably priced and we love going to. Another note, when we looked at having surgery on one of our animals, we had a vet friend call Treehouse to check on the procedure used and pain meds given. Our vet friend said he was surprised by their choices and did not recommend taking our pet to them for that surgery. Read Less

I took my dog here for his annual visit and although I did like the staff, it was way overpriced.  On avg, an annual should cost NO MORE than $150.  I walked out of there paying $350 for all the things they said he needed.  I think as dog owners, we trust the vet to give our dogs what they need.  I think I was taken advantage of here.  If you do choose to go here, I would let them quote you first.
