Dr. Johnson is fantastic. She gets down on the level of the pets. She talks and pets them to get their confidence and reduce their fear. She is the most down to earth vet I have ever met . She includes the owner about what is going on and what and shows great empathy to pets and owners!! Read Less

I’ve been taking my dogs here since 2014. Both are rescues and have their own unique personalities (and issues). The staff loves on them both and it’s the only place we will go for our preventative care. We had our first “emergent” situation recently where one dog needed to be put under for a nail issue. I got phone calls with updates, excellent after care instructions, and then a follow up call the next business day to see how my baby was doing. Dr. Simpson and Haley really made me feel at ease when I was so emotional that day. I wish they were open 24 hours - just in case. And Dee Dee? I love seeing her smile - even if I’m just coming in for heartworm preventative. The entire staff gets two paws up from us! Read Less

This is the best animal hospital around. I drive 25 minutes to get there and pass several other Vet offices along the way. I have been coming to Auburn Animal for 20 years. The Doctors are wonderful and understand when you are going thru stressful times with your furry kids. The Staff are so pleasant and helpful. Everyone gives you the help you need and are full of information. I have gone through full life cycles with my pets at Auburn Animal and will go nowhere else. We are home here. Read Less

Dr. Stewart Rackley and his staff go above and beyond with care and customer service. We have been using this office ever since he came to Auburn. He has stayed late when my cat had a stroke he has come to my house to put down my 13 year old dog due to cancer. He has cried with us when our babies have died. He is awesome and so is his staff. After trying a few vets during the first year after getting my boxer, I ended up shelling out hundreds of dollars on repeat ear infections. After 3 repeat visits at about $200 a pop at another winder vet I was fed up! I had spent $400 in a matter of a few weeks on the same ear infection. I called and demanded my records be transferred to the first vet I could find in the phone book, which happened to be Auburn Animal Hospital. I dragged my poor pup in for the 4th vet visit in a couple months hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. Dr. Rackley diagnosed the ear infection and sent us on our way with the proper prescription at only half the cost of my other vet visits. I was getting happier. When the ear infection was completely gone in a week, I was even happier. When we didn't have another ear infection for another 7 months, I was sooo pleased. My pooch has been under Auburn Animal Hospital's care for about 8 years now. We have moved, but I still drive 45 minutes to get here. They are the only vet I'll ever go to. Read Less

Had an excellent experience. We took our sick ferret up there, he had a grossly enlarged spleen. The staff was pleasant and attentive, Dr. Rackley was knowledgeable and frank about what he did and did not know. He provided multiple diagnostic options and descriptions of what would be effective. He performed surgery to remove the spleen, and we didn't have to pay an arm for it. 3 months later, our little guy is doing great. Couldn't be happier! Read Less

We bring all our pets and lost one to old age about a year ago. The office and Dr Rackley tried everything to get our dog to make it through until after the holidays but he was old. Although it was a sad time for us we felt very supported and our dog was given the best possible care. I wish our family physicians were as good as our vet!!! Read Less

I love Auburn Animal Hospital. Been seeing Dr. Rackley for over 9 years. He will tell u what u need to know in order for you to make the best decsion for your pet. He was so kind when I had to put down my 10 yr old golden retriever. All of my pets go to Auburn - 2 dogs (Bloodhound & Lab) along with my 4 cats.
