I personally feel that this place is greedy and only care about the money and are the most expensive vet I have personally been to. I only went here because my normal vet was booked. So here is what my experience was the doctor came in and said my bill was at $164 and would like to do a heartworm test for I believe she said $41 and x-rays for another $195 I explained my business was doing bad due to the covid and I would like to do everything I can for my dog but all I can afford is $250 to $300 at max hoping they would work with me, of course the wouldn't so we agreed to do the heartworm test so I was expecting $164 +$41= $205 when I got to the desk it was $288.95 cents with medications (funny just under the max I said I could afford to spend) . They had a guy go over all the medications and dosage information with me and said the 1 medication needs to be taken with food but did not say a word about it needing to be refrigerated. So I came home gave my dog the 2 medications and not the one with food being she ate earlier and was not hungry, so I go to give her the medication today and see it was supposed to be refrigerated so I immediately called them and asked about it after an extensive hold they said it was no good and I had to come get a new one I said I am comming now. A minute later they called me just to make shure to tell me i have to pay for it again i explained i dont think that is fair being i paid almost $300 yesterday and nobody told me it needed to be refrigerated and i had to take more time and gas to go get a new one. Again they did not care and take no responsibility at all for their mistake of not telling me (if he did not go over the dosages i would have read them and see it needed to be refrigerated but being he explained everything i did not look at it yesterday being it need to be taken with food) they did not care and i told them i would give bad reviews on them and they could care less about that as well. So i get there in 10 mins. To pick up them new medication gave them.the old one to see I used non of it and they lady said I tried to help you with the price but the doctor said you have to pay again, I asked to speak to the doctor myself they said she is not here today so I replied how did she make the decision to charge me if she is not here they said she left after you call it was 10 mins before I got there that I called. The they charged me for the medication I gave the $40 and the did not have any change to give me so they are so greedy I had to give them an extra dollar and get robbed for another .69 cents because they would not even let the 31 cents go that the did not have change for. Smh I would never go in this place again or refer anyone to them.

Very, very rude. I took my 4 yr old pit bull to be boarded for the weekend and was met with resistance. Saying things like "is he a mean dog? "if he isn't able to be walked he can't stay" "has he been boarded before?" AFTER I gave you his papers from my regular boarding place. The receptionists then begin to whisper about my dog as if I wasn't sitting right in the lobby!!!She then asked if he climbs on crates to which I replied "I don't stay with him when I board him. What's the REAL problem? I've never been badgered like this any where else. Aren't you an animal hospital???"Then she tries to justify this behavior by saying we ask everyone these questions. Typical response. I felt profiled being black with a pit bull. If I wasn't leaving out of town that minute I would not have left my dog there!!! I had no choice. He is a house dog without a mean bone in his body. I would never go back where it seems me and my dog were not welcome. It was a rough weekend for both of us.

I been going to Dr Bullard since 2008 all my animals love them there Dr. Aikens is Great and gets to the issue my dog fell in love with the girls in the back when they noticed his nails were too long they trimmed them without hesitating I had to put 3 of my dogs down they were very sympathetic and let me stay as long as i needed to say my goodbyes hugged me and gave me their sympathy they are WONDERFUL and VERY Caring. They killed my dog and I will never ever get over it. He had bloat aka his stomach flipped IN THEIR CARE. They didn’t notice until it was too late because they left him in a cage the entire time. They also don’t have the facilities to take care of a dog who JUST had surgery over night. The transport back and forth to an overnight facility added fuel to the fire and now I’ll never get my beloved Moxie back. I will never forgive them and I would never recommend them. He passed almost a year ago and I’m just now getting to leaving this review. DONT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE.

I took my dog in today because was sleeping all the time. Not eating or jumping around. Like she use to do. Vet told me my dog has a bad heart. And needs a ultrasound and she has to recommend me to go to a specialist, which will be around 400.00. That my dog not jumping because of the heart. Gave me some prednisone, and told me to call her when I decide which specialist I want. I went to another vet for second opinion and didn't say nothing about going to Bullard. Vet feel under my dog. Said that not good. Said she been jumping and hurt herself , her abdomen is swollen. Gave her a steroid shot. Muscle relaxer and some prednisone. Said her heart sounds good. Been two days now, my dog back to normal.if I listen to Bullard vet. I would have spend money on a problem my dog didn't have.And thought my dog was going to died of a bad heart. Please get a second opinion if you go to Bullard

I've been going here since 2001. Never had an issue. Veterinarians are always honest which I like and they always seem to want what's best for the animal. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

After reviewing Dr. Grim's bio online, we took our two cocker spaniels (Bailey and Riley) in this morning specifically to see Dr. Grim. She was patient, thorough and caring. She answered our questions and addressed our concerns and was not pretentious/condescending when doing so - we really appreciate that. We also appreciate the consideration given at checkout - costs were less than anticipated. We are looking forward to a long relationship and are happy to have found Dr. Grim and this practice.

For the last 5 years, I have been taking my 2 dogs to Bullard Animal Clinic for their yearly exam Everyone (Doctors and front office ladies) is so sweet and patient. My doctor, Dr. Hale, was very kind and didn't mind my questions. I would love to have Dr Hale again, and I will recommend her to everyone. The front staff ladies are just as kind and patient with my girls/dogs. Even when one of my girls had an allergic reaction an hour and a half later after we got home, they told me to immediately come back to Dr Bullard's clinic. I did just that, and Dr Hale explained to me that my Bug had a reaction and had to get a shot. Once the medicine kicked in, Willow Bug felt better and the swelling started to go down. I was so relieved to know that Bug was alright! Even when I cried a bit, the front office ladies hugged me and comforted me! Since that incident, Willow Bug has been doing so well, and I'll be sure to take her and her sister to Bullard anytime there is a problem or for yearly exams. To the doctors, front office staff, and other staff at Bullard, thank you so much for taking care of my fur children!

We have been long time members of this veterinary, and until recently with Dr. Bullard retiring it seems like the care for the pets went away and the people running it now just want money.
To give you an example of what we mean: we called to find out pricing to find out if our dog was pregnant. Remember we are current customers.
$60 office visit
$150 for x rays
So I'm paying an office visit lol I thought new patients get that charge.
Called westside vet.

$0 for office visit (past client)
For all of you reading this review I think you know what to do from here until some changes are made at Bullard......I'm no longer going there or referring people. Good job guys for tearing down something Dr Bullard worked so hard on!

Called and ask someone to call me - not done on Wed. Called again on Thurs, person more concerned, said lead DR would call. Still no call. Found open flesh on pads right under toenails on 8 back and 2 front paws. No excuse for no return call when a dog had a problem. We are prior patients when we lived in Mableton but Dr. Bullard is now retired. My dog will NOT return. When a dog is injured in your office and no one will return a call, it is not a good place to visit.

I'm starting to like this place much less after every visit we take my dog. What's good is that walk-ins generally do not take that long. I appreciate that. However, the service from the front receptionists are mediocre and at times they can act somewhat rude. The two most recent vets that have attended my dog do not show affection or care to the dog. It's very in-and-out kind of thing. I get it, it's a revolving door for animals to get checked out and you don't have to be all happy and dandy, but don't be the opposite- cold and disgruntled-like as you are hurrying me the hell out. I expressed some concerns about my dog, some random head bobbing that has recently occurred. The vet, Dr. Tubbs said he had "no clue" and cannot say what he thinks it is because he doesn't even know. I cannot believe that a seasoned vet has "no idea" what it could *possibly* be. I am not asking for the right or certain answer, but wanted to know if this was common or not. Shortly after I did some research online and found lots of dogs have this head bobbing too...weird, I don't think they went to vet school to know that this has happened to other dogs. I read veterinarian articles that spoke of potential head bobbing or "tremors." Hmm, I wonder if Dr. Tubbs has ever read scholarly articles that suggest this occurs with lots of dogs. Either way, with the info that I got, I really didn't even need to go to the vet. Any who, I will be in search for another vet clinic because I don't want to be rushed when I am paying you over $50 an hour for 10-20 minutes of my sweet time.Lastly, and not least, the vet techs are super sweet and cool! They act like they like to be there a work.

Really refreshing to be at a vet that doesn't just treat you like a dollar sign. In fact the Doctor for my visit, Dr. Tubbs, recommended against the more expensive treatment because he didn't feel it was necessary and it's sad how rare an experience that is with vets these days! I only went to Bullard because it was an emergency and my vet didn't have time to see us but I will be transferring all 5 of my pets to their practice. Excellent experience.

Today I brought him in, they saved his life.
They really care about the animals as well as the owners.
They took the time to tell me exactly what was wrong with my pup and how they were going to fix it.
I was an emotional wreck and they were there to help me and my pup. The staff was very kind and very friendly. We didn't even have to wait 10 minutes before being seen. I will continue to come to this vet and strongly urge and reccomend it to everyone who loves to give the best care for their furry family members.

I begin using Dr. Bullard's office many years ago when I moved to the area. I eventually had to move to another vet because I felt like their services weren't the best. Every single appointment I made I had to schedule in an extra hour on top of the actual service time due to the long wait to actually see a vet. I feel that when I make an appointment, my pet should be seen within the first 15-30 minutes after arriving at the appointed time. Also, the front desk staff were unfriendly and did not know any of their clients. Another part that I hated was that I never got the same vet twice. My babies, at first, were regularly seen by Dr. Aikens, who I loved and was the reason for waiting an absurd amount of time. After about a year of seeing him regularly, we were shuffled around to whoever was available (which meant having to explain things over and over again). The last vet I saw there was a few months after I adopted my 2 year old cat from a rescue where he had already received necessary shots and was fixed. When asking about his snorting noises he makes constantly (most likely a deviated septum birth defect and not the reason for bringing him in...mostly just curiosity in asking), she accused me of not being a good pet owner and that I "should have brought him in sooner." That was the last straw in dealing with this vet and have since moved to Apex Animal Hospital, who I would highly recommend over Dr. Bullard's office.

This is a wonderful animal hospital. Dr. Gary Bullard has been used by my family since he started his practice. He's caring, intelligent, and has a great bedside manner. Every pet I've had, he's kept healthy and happy and they instantly liked him. He has a way with animals, they love him and you can tell he loves his work. The staff is very nice and helpful, the establishment is very clean as well. I wouldn't take my pets (who are members of the family) anywhere else!

I have gone to Bullard Animal Hospital twice now. Previously, I had taken my dogs to the Atlanta Humane Society. However, it's difficult to get in when something is wrong with your pet. After reading the reviews, I decided to take my dog to Bullard because she had lameness in one leg. First, I was pleased that they were not only open on Saturdays, but were willing to take a new, walk-in patient. The facility is very clean which is very important to me. However, I was really impressed with our being seen quickly. the vet assessed my dog, completed an x-ray, massaged her and provided recommended medication and exercises. I was impressed that the vet was open about the fact that while surgery could resolve my dog's issues, that it wasn't a guarantee. She gained my trust by not pushing expensive and unnecessary services.
About a month later, my second dog fell ill while being boarded.He was taken to a different vet for treatment and was given medication. A day or so later, he started having seizures. Because I trusted Bullard from my first experience, I called and again was able to bring my dog in as a walk-in. Again, we were seen promptly. They called the other vet to understand fully both the diagnosis and treatment. Because my dog is 12 yrs old, a senior wellness profile (e.g. blood work) was recommended. Additionally, the meds were flushed from my dog's system via IV, and the vet asked me to stop giving the medication. The next day, the vet walked me thru the blood test results. Nothing major was seen. She gave me guidance on what to feed my dog and asked that I bring the dog back in if his appetite didn't return in a couple of days. My dog is doing much better. No more seizures and he's back to my happy, playful dog. This morning, I received a follow up call from the vet checking to make sure my dog was ok. I have never had this happen before.
This facility truly cares about your pets. The prices, while not cheap, are very reasonable. Overall, I am happy with their service and will bring my dogs here for everything including their vaccinations going forward. Highly recommend this hospital.

Today I lost my best friend of 11 years and I could not be more thankful for the dedication and love of the team here at Bullard. After 11 years I know Charlie had lots of cute little notes on his card like "caution" and "muzzle" that gave us all a reminder of how much of a fighter he was even in his last days. While this is still a hard thing to deal with Dr. Tubs and Dr. Akin made the entire thing much easier. We have been coming to Bullard over fifteen years an because of the care we have received will continue to do so for every animal we have.

I have never had anything but compassionate, intelligent treatment here. I have 9 animals, and have been coming here for a very long time. They are the best! People writing these reviews who don't have all the facts about a case should refrain. Vets cannot treat a patient if the owner does't authorize treatment, and if the owner asks for euthanazia, the owner is the only one authorized to give treatment instructions for the animal, not the breeder or the man off the street. If a dog eats carpet and the owner doesn't have the sense to treat that as an emergency or authorize treatment, there is nothing a doctor can do about that. The dog will die if it cannot get rid of the obstruction. I have even brought in old, dying feral cats for assistance and Dr. Bullard has euthanized them without charge because it was in the best interest of the animal. I have 9 animals, and have been coming here for a very long time. They are the best! They will work you in if you need to come without an appointment, and are there for you. However, you have to do your part as an owner, too.

Today this vet decided to kill a poor puppy. I was in the process of rescuing said puppy today of 1.5 years. Between the owner, breeder, and myself there were many stories of issues going on with this puppy from bad behavior to biting. It was in the interest of the puppy to be rehomed and worked with for training for rehabiliation. Unfortunately the owner decided today that she was going to have the dog put down one way or another. The owner brought the puppy to her vet who refused to put him down, as further training was only needed. She the owner called and called around until she found a vet would would essentailly kill her dog. This just happened to be this vet. I and the breeder attemped to call the vet to see if the puppy was killed yet as the owner said she signed him over. Unfortunately we were too late and the vet within an hour of being dropped off had already put him to sleep. I therefore sent them a message here to notify them of their wrong doing as they essentially had only killed a dog for no good reason. There is difference in putting down a dog, and the act of murdering one for no reason. This is the response that I recieved from them "I apologize that this is a tough situation for everyone to be in.The final decision that was found to be in the best interest of the family was made in consultation with a veterinary professional. The final decision rested with the owner."

Unfortunately we were too late and the vet within an hour of being dropped off had already put him to sleep.I therefore sent them a message here to notify them of their wrong doing as they essentially had only killed a dog for no good reason. There is difference in putting down a dog, and the act of murdering one for no reason.This is the response that I recieved from them "I apologize that this is a tough situation for everyone to be in.The final decision that was found to be in the best interest of the family was made in consultation with a veterinary professional. The final decision rested with the owner."

I have visited Bullard animal clinic several times during the past 6 months, both with an older dog and a puppy. 3 of those visits were emergencies and I was allowed to just walk in with my sick dog, no waiting for an appointment even though once this meant Dr. Bullard stayed late. Even when he stayed late, because I had been there the day before he only charged my for the shot my dog received with no office fee. I also love Dr.Tubbs and Dr.Grimm. There is another female vet there who's name I do not remember that has almost no people skills, once she administered a dose of medicine to my puppy before I even got a chance to tell her why I was there. When I explained the situation the vets response was "well at least it won't hurt her" and had to administer a different medication. But over all, I LOVE the Bullard animal hospital! Just request either Dr.Bullard, Dr.Tubbs, or Dr.Grimm.

I have this pet peeve, pun completely intended, about medical offices, be it my son's pediatrician or my dog's vet, having poor customer service. And I'm not asking for anyone to roll out the red carpet or provide sparkling water, but rather acknowledging me when I walk up to the front desk when there's two receptionists. My last visit, which may really be my last, the two women sitting at the front desk let me stand there for a full minute plus while they continued their conversation, acting as if I did not exist. The vet that gave my dog a checkup was completely unsociable almost to the point of being antisocial. Regardless, she seemed to know what she was doing and I have zero complaints about her abilities as a vet. All-in-all I've never had a bad experience with the actual veterinary services, but when I'm spending hundreds of dollars a year I would like some kind of semblance of good customer service and hospitality.

We have taken our dogs and cats here for about 2 years. The prices are extremely reasonable compared to other vets. Also, the vets take their time when seeing the animals and are very personable. The wait is usually around 20-30 minutes on a Saturday, but I think that is to be expected wherever you go. The receptionists are pleasant and caring.

Heard about Bullard Animal Hospital from the lady we adopted our precious little one from. At first we weren't sure it would be worth the drive from the city to Austell, but boy was I wrong! This place is great! The staff is so caring and helpful. It's almost like the neighborhood vet. I met many people in the waiting area that had such great things to say about Dr Bullard and his staff. Many of them had been with the Vet for years and years and years, which speaks volumes. I can definitely see why people keep coming back. We never have to worry about a huge bill for a visit. Many times we have called at the last minute and been able to get an appointment the same day or next day. Dr Tubbs is the best and very knowledgeable. He even returned my frantic phone call and explained what I needed to do instead of having me drive all the way to Austell. Great staff! Great prices! Great job! Highly recommend this place if you are at all frustrated with your regular Vet clinic due to long waits and enormous unpredictable bills. I know, I know...the location could be better, but what's too much or too far for the one you love???? See...I told you, lol.

The vets are always incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and empathetic (which I find incredibly important in a vet!). As an example of the amazing staff, there was a flood a couple of years ago that made it impossible for staff to come in for awhile. Dr. Bullard himself stayed overnight to care for the animals. The front desk staff are always courteous and organized as well. I take my dogs Bullard for health care, boarding, and grooming with Sarah. 5 stars on all of the above. Great care, great staff, happy pets :)

In general, high quality at a reasonable price.Our cat Charlie T is a rescue we adopted from Bullard Animal Hospital. When he recently broke his leg (Yes, cats can break legs,) Dr. Bullard surgically set it with an external fixator and guided us through the long and difficult healing process.Kudos to Dr. Bullard and his staff for treating our pets like their own and not draining our bank account in the process.

Dr. Bullard diagnosed an issue my female rottie was having and immediately performed a surgical procedure in attempts of saving her life. Unfortunately, the last vet I visited was inadequate in his abilities and missed it. My rottie passed away after the surgery. Dr. Bullard was attentive to my needs, listened and I am thoroughly satisfied with his knowledge and abilities. I cannot give the same positive commentary for all of his medical staff. On one occasion the young female Vet asked was afraid to touch my dog even though he did not express any aggressive tendecies. I guess she felt it was ok to pre-judge my dog as well as my training abilitites. I was very disappointed in her. Normally I use the kennel as well when I travel and on every occasion when I pick up my dog he has lost a considerable amount of weight and drinks water at the house as if he haas been neglected his entire stay. With that being said, no more overnight stays for the pup. I feel that Dr. Bullard is a great animal care angel however if you cannot schedule with him, you may as well try another location. As for boarding, I'm not going to use them anymore.

After finding out that my boyfriend's family has been taking their pets to Dr. Bullard's for over 20 years, I knew that I had no choice but to take my pets to the same place. Luckily, I'm happy to take them there because the staff is wonderful, prices are hard to beat and the level of care is everything you could ask for from a vet's office. When my cat became ill and had to be put to sleep, the staff really helped to talk me through the difficult situation and even sent a sympathy card a week later to let me know that they understood my loss. Now, I take both of my big, goofy dogs there for all of their exams and to be boarded when they can't travel with me. The staff happily notes any special requests I might have during boarding and doesn't mind answering calls when I call to see if Luna and Ozzie are doing OK while I'm away.

He is also very understanding and cares a lot about his patients. He gives you lots of options and explains everything in detail. I wouldn't recommend you go anywhere else!

I personally feel that this place is greedy and only care about the money and are the most expensive vet I have personally been to. I only went here because my normal vet was booked. So here is what my experience was the doctor came in and said my bill was at $164 and would like to do a heartworm test for I believe she said $41 and x-rays for another $195 I explained my business was doing bad due to the covid and I would like to do everything I can for my dog but all I can afford is $250 to $300 at max hoping they would work with me, of course the wouldn't so we agreed to do the heartworm test so I was expecting $164 +$41= $205 when I got to the desk it was $288.95 cents with medications (funny just under the max I said I could afford to spend) . They had a guy go over all the medications and dosage information with me and said the 1 medication needs to be taken with food but did not say a word about it needing to be refrigerated. So I came home gave my dog the 2 medications and not the one with food being she ate earlier and was not hungry, so I go to give her the medication today and see it was supposed to be refrigerated so I immediately called them and asked about it after an extensive hold they said it was no good and I had to come get a new one I said I am comming now. A minute later they called me just to make shure to tell me i have to pay for it again i explained i dont think that is fair being i paid almost $300 yesterday and nobody told me it needed to be refrigerated and i had to take more time and gas to go get a new one. Again they did not care and take no responsibility at all for their mistake of not telling me (if he did not go over the dosages i would have read them and see it needed to be refrigerated but being he explained everything i did not look at it yesterday being it need to be taken with food) they did not care and i told them i would give bad reviews on them and they could care less about that as well. So i get there in 10 mins. To pick up them new medication gave them.the old one to see I used non of it and they lady said I tried to help you with the price but the doctor said you have to pay again, I asked to speak to the doctor myself they said she is not here today so I replied how did she make the decision to charge me if she is not here they said she left after you call it was 10 mins before I got there that I called. The they charged me for the medication I gave the $40 and the did not have any change to give me so they are so greedy I had to give them an extra dollar and get robbed for another .69 cents because they would not even let the 31 cents go that the did not have change for. Smh I would never go in this place again or refer anyone to them.

Very, very rude. I took my 4 yr old pit bull to be boarded for the weekend and was met with resistance. Saying things like "is he a mean dog? "if he isn't able to be walked he can't stay" "has he been boarded before?" AFTER I gave you his papers from my regular boarding place. The receptionists then begin to whisper about my dog as if I wasn't sitting right in the lobby!!!She then asked if he climbs on crates to which I replied "I don't stay with him when I board him. What's the REAL problem? I've never been badgered like this any where else. Aren't you an animal hospital???"Then she tries to justify this behavior by saying we ask everyone these questions. Typical response. I felt profiled being black with a pit bull. If I wasn't leaving out of town that minute I would not have left my dog there!!! I had no choice. He is a house dog without a mean bone in his body. I would never go back where it seems me and my dog were not welcome. It was a rough weekend for both of us.

They killed my dog and I will never ever get over it. He had bloat aka his stomach flipped IN THEIR CARE. They didn’t notice until it was too late because they left him in a cage the entire time. They also don’t have the facilities to take care of a dog who JUST had surgery over night. The transport back and forth to an overnight facility added fuel to the fire and now I’ll never get my beloved Moxie back. I will never forgive them and I would never recommend them. He passed almost a year ago and I’m just now getting to leaving this review. DONT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE.

I took my dog in today because was sleeping all the time. Not eating or jumping around. Like she use to do. Vet told me my dog has a bad heart. And needs a ultrasound and she has to recommend me to go to a specialist, which will be around 400.00. That my dog not jumping because of the heart. Gave me some prednisone, and told me to call her when I decide which specialist I want. I went to another vet for second opinion and didn't say nothing about going to Bullard. Vet feel under my dog. Said that not good. Said she been jumping and hurt herself , her abdomen is swollen. Gave her a steroid shot. Muscle relaxer and some prednisone. Said her heart sounds good. Been two days now, my dog back to normal.if I listen to Bullard vet. I would have spend money on a problem my dog didn't have.And thought my dog was going to died of a bad heart. Please get a second opinion if you go to Bullard

For the last 5 years, I have been taking my 2 dogs to Bullard Animal Clinic for their yearly exam Everyone (Doctors and front office ladies) is so sweet and patient. My doctor, Dr. Hale, was very kind and didn't mind my questions. I would love to have Dr Hale again, and I will recommend her to everyone. The front staff ladies are just as kind and patient with my girls/dogs. Even when one of my girls had an allergic reaction an hour and a half later after we got home, they told me to immediately come back to Dr Bullard's clinic. I did just that, and Dr Hale explained to me that my Bug had a reaction and had to get a shot. Once the medicine kicked in, Willow Bug felt better and the swelling started to go down. I was so relieved to know that Bug was alright! Even when I cried a bit, the front office ladies hugged me and comforted me! Since that incident, Willow Bug has been doing so well, and I'll be sure to take her and her sister to Bullard anytime there is a problem or for yearly exams. To the doctors, front office staff, and other staff at Bullard, thank you so much for taking care of my fur children!

To give you an example of what we mean: we called to find out pricing to find out if our dog was pregnant. Remember we are current customers.
$60 office visit
$150 for x rays
So I'm paying an office visit lol I thought new patients get that charge.

$0 for office visit (past client)
For all of you reading this review I think you know what to do from here until some changes are made at Bullard......I'm no longer going there or referring people. Good job guys for tearing down something Dr Bullard worked so hard on!

Called and ask someone to call me - not done on Wed. Called again on Thurs, person more concerned, said lead DR would call. Still no call. Found open flesh on pads right under toenails on 8 back and 2 front paws. No excuse for no return call when a dog had a problem. We are prior patients when we lived in Mableton but Dr. Bullard is now retired. My dog will NOT return. When a dog is injured in your office and no one will return a call, it is not a good place to visit.

I'm starting to like this place much less after every visit we take my dog. What's good is that walk-ins generally do not take that long. I appreciate that. However, the service from the front receptionists are mediocre and at times they can act somewhat rude. The two most recent vets that have attended my dog do not show affection or care to the dog. It's very in-and-out kind of thing. I get it, it's a revolving door for animals to get checked out and you don't have to be all happy and dandy, but don't be the opposite- cold and disgruntled-like as you are hurrying me the hell out. I expressed some concerns about my dog, some random head bobbing that has recently occurred. The vet, Dr. Tubbs said he had "no clue" and cannot say what he thinks it is because he doesn't even know. I cannot believe that a seasoned vet has "no idea" what it could *possibly* be. I am not asking for the right or certain answer, but wanted to know if this was common or not. Shortly after I did some research online and found lots of dogs have this head bobbing too...weird, I don't think they went to vet school to know that this has happened to other dogs. I read veterinarian articles that spoke of potential head bobbing or "tremors." Hmm, I wonder if Dr. Tubbs has ever read scholarly articles that suggest this occurs with lots of dogs. Either way, with the info that I got, I really didn't even need to go to the vet. Any who, I will be in search for another vet clinic because I don't want to be rushed when I am paying you over $50 an hour for 10-20 minutes of my sweet time.Lastly, and not least, the vet techs are super sweet and cool! They act like they like to be there a work.

Really refreshing to be at a vet that doesn't just treat you like a dollar sign. In fact the Doctor for my visit, Dr. Tubbs, recommended against the more expensive treatment because he didn't feel it was necessary and it's sad how rare an experience that is with vets these days! I only went to Bullard because it was an emergency and my vet didn't have time to see us but I will be transferring all 5 of my pets to their practice. Excellent experience.

Dr. Aiken took care of our sweet boy, Reagan, for years. When it was time to say goodbye this past Wednesday he was as sad as we were. We are grateful for the excellent care Reagan received.

Today I brought him in, they saved his life.
They really care about the animals as well as the owners.
They took the time to tell me exactly what was wrong with my pup and how they were going to fix it.
I was an emotional wreck and they were there to help me and my pup. The staff was very kind and very friendly. We didn't even have to wait 10 minutes before being seen. I will continue to come to this vet and strongly urge and reccomend it to everyone who loves to give the best care for their furry family members.

I begin using Dr. Bullard's office many years ago when I moved to the area. I eventually had to move to another vet because I felt like their services weren't the best. Every single appointment I made I had to schedule in an extra hour on top of the actual service time due to the long wait to actually see a vet. I feel that when I make an appointment, my pet should be seen within the first 15-30 minutes after arriving at the appointed time. Also, the front desk staff were unfriendly and did not know any of their clients. Another part that I hated was that I never got the same vet twice. My babies, at first, were regularly seen by Dr. Aikens, who I loved and was the reason for waiting an absurd amount of time. After about a year of seeing him regularly, we were shuffled around to whoever was available (which meant having to explain things over and over again). The last vet I saw there was a few months after I adopted my 2 year old cat from a rescue where he had already received necessary shots and was fixed. When asking about his snorting noises he makes constantly (most likely a deviated septum birth defect and not the reason for bringing him in...mostly just curiosity in asking), she accused me of not being a good pet owner and that I "should have brought him in sooner." That was the last straw in dealing with this vet and have since moved to Apex Animal Hospital, who I would highly recommend over Dr. Bullard's office.

This is a wonderful animal hospital. Dr. Gary Bullard has been used by my family since he started his practice. He's caring, intelligent, and has a great bedside manner. Every pet I've had, he's kept healthy and happy and they instantly liked him. He has a way with animals, they love him and you can tell he loves his work. The staff is very nice and helpful, the establishment is very clean as well. I wouldn't take my pets (who are members of the family) anywhere else!

I have gone to Bullard Animal Hospital twice now. Previously, I had taken my dogs to the Atlanta Humane Society. However, it's difficult to get in when something is wrong with your pet. After reading the reviews, I decided to take my dog to Bullard because she had lameness in one leg. First, I was pleased that they were not only open on Saturdays, but were willing to take a new, walk-in patient. The facility is very clean which is very important to me. However, I was really impressed with our being seen quickly. the vet assessed my dog, completed an x-ray, massaged her and provided recommended medication and exercises. I was impressed that the vet was open about the fact that while surgery could resolve my dog's issues, that it wasn't a guarantee. She gained my trust by not pushing expensive and unnecessary services.
About a month later, my second dog fell ill while being boarded.He was taken to a different vet for treatment and was given medication. A day or so later, he started having seizures. Because I trusted Bullard from my first experience, I called and again was able to bring my dog in as a walk-in. Again, we were seen promptly. They called the other vet to understand fully both the diagnosis and treatment. Because my dog is 12 yrs old, a senior wellness profile (e.g. blood work) was recommended. Additionally, the meds were flushed from my dog's system via IV, and the vet asked me to stop giving the medication. The next day, the vet walked me thru the blood test results. Nothing major was seen. She gave me guidance on what to feed my dog and asked that I bring the dog back in if his appetite didn't return in a couple of days. My dog is doing much better. No more seizures and he's back to my happy, playful dog. This morning, I received a follow up call from the vet checking to make sure my dog was ok. I have never had this happen before.
This facility truly cares about your pets. The prices, while not cheap, are very reasonable. Overall, I am happy with their service and will bring my dogs here for everything including their vaccinations going forward. Highly recommend this hospital.

Today I lost my best friend of 11 years and I could not be more thankful for the dedication and love of the team here at Bullard. After 11 years I know Charlie had lots of cute little notes on his card like "caution" and "muzzle" that gave us all a reminder of how much of a fighter he was even in his last days. While this is still a hard thing to deal with Dr. Tubs and Dr. Akin made the entire thing much easier. We have been coming to Bullard over fifteen years an because of the care we have received will continue to do so for every animal we have.

I have never had anything but compassionate, intelligent treatment here. I have 9 animals, and have been coming here for a very long time. They are the best! People writing these reviews who don't have all the facts about a case should refrain. Vets cannot treat a patient if the owner does't authorize treatment, and if the owner asks for euthanazia, the owner is the only one authorized to give treatment instructions for the animal, not the breeder or the man off the street. If a dog eats carpet and the owner doesn't have the sense to treat that as an emergency or authorize treatment, there is nothing a doctor can do about that. The dog will die if it cannot get rid of the obstruction. I have even brought in old, dying feral cats for assistance and Dr. Bullard has euthanized them without charge because it was in the best interest of the animal. I have 9 animals, and have been coming here for a very long time. They are the best! They will work you in if you need to come without an appointment, and are there for you. However, you have to do your part as an owner, too.

Today this vet decided to kill a poor puppy. I was in the process of rescuing said puppy today of 1.5 years. Between the owner, breeder, and myself there were many stories of issues going on with this puppy from bad behavior to biting. It was in the interest of the puppy to be rehomed and worked with for training for rehabiliation. Unfortunately the owner decided today that she was going to have the dog put down one way or another. The owner brought the puppy to her vet who refused to put him down, as further training was only needed. She the owner called and called around until she found a vet would would essentailly kill her dog. This just happened to be this vet. I and the breeder attemped to call the vet to see if the puppy was killed yet as the owner said she signed him over. Unfortunately we were too late and the vet within an hour of being dropped off had already put him to sleep. I therefore sent them a message here to notify them of their wrong doing as they essentially had only killed a dog for no good reason. There is difference in putting down a dog, and the act of murdering one for no reason. This is the response that I recieved from them "I apologize that this is a tough situation for everyone to be in.The final decision that was found to be in the best interest of the family was made in consultation with a veterinary professional. The final decision rested with the owner."

We got a call the next day, an hour after surgery to tell us that our puppy had DIED!!!! No explanation besides, "he was fine after surgery, woke up, and then he stopped breathing"..... Needless to say DONT NOT BRING YOUR PUPPY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOUR ANIMAL IS EVERYTHING TO YOU, FIND ANOTHER VET!! It wouldn't let me post it without adding that star, obviously this vet deserves nothing!!!

I have visited Bullard animal clinic several times during the past 6 months, both with an older dog and a puppy. 3 of those visits were emergencies and I was allowed to just walk in with my sick dog, no waiting for an appointment even though once this meant Dr. Bullard stayed late. Even when he stayed late, because I had been there the day before he only charged my for the shot my dog received with no office fee. I also love Dr.Tubbs and Dr.Grimm. There is another female vet there who's name I do not remember that has almost no people skills, once she administered a dose of medicine to my puppy before I even got a chance to tell her why I was there. When I explained the situation the vets response was "well at least it won't hurt her" and had to administer a different medication. But over all, I LOVE the Bullard animal hospital! Just request either Dr.Bullard, Dr.Tubbs, or Dr.Grimm.

I have this pet peeve, pun completely intended, about medical offices, be it my son's pediatrician or my dog's vet, having poor customer service. And I'm not asking for anyone to roll out the red carpet or provide sparkling water, but rather acknowledging me when I walk up to the front desk when there's two receptionists. My last visit, which may really be my last, the two women sitting at the front desk let me stand there for a full minute plus while they continued their conversation, acting as if I did not exist. The vet that gave my dog a checkup was completely unsociable almost to the point of being antisocial. Regardless, she seemed to know what she was doing and I have zero complaints about her abilities as a vet. All-in-all I've never had a bad experience with the actual veterinary services, but when I'm spending hundreds of dollars a year I would like some kind of semblance of good customer service and hospitality.

We have taken our dogs and cats here for about 2 years. The prices are extremely reasonable compared to other vets. Also, the vets take their time when seeing the animals and are very personable. The wait is usually around 20-30 minutes on a Saturday, but I think that is to be expected wherever you go. The receptionists are pleasant and caring.

Heard about Bullard Animal Hospital from the lady we adopted our precious little one from. At first we weren't sure it would be worth the drive from the city to Austell, but boy was I wrong! This place is great! The staff is so caring and helpful. It's almost like the neighborhood vet. I met many people in the waiting area that had such great things to say about Dr Bullard and his staff. Many of them had been with the Vet for years and years and years, which speaks volumes. I can definitely see why people keep coming back. We never have to worry about a huge bill for a visit. Many times we have called at the last minute and been able to get an appointment the same day or next day. Dr Tubbs is the best and very knowledgeable. He even returned my frantic phone call and explained what I needed to do instead of having me drive all the way to Austell. Great staff! Great prices! Great job! Highly recommend this place if you are at all frustrated with your regular Vet clinic due to long waits and enormous unpredictable bills. I know, I know...the location could be better, but what's too much or too far for the one you love???? See...I told you, lol.

5 stars, hands down. All three of my pets have been under the care of the Bullard staff for years and years. The vets are always incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and empathetic (which I find incredibly important in a vet!). As an example of the amazing staff, there was a flood a couple of years ago that made it impossible for staff to come in for awhile. Dr. Bullard himself stayed overnight to care for the animals. The front desk staff are always courteous and organized as well. I take my dogs Bullard for health care, boarding, and grooming with Sarah. 5 stars on all of the above. Great care, great staff, happy pets :)

From routine vaccinations to major surgery, our pets have received excellent care over the years from Dr. Bullard and the other staff veterinarians. In general, high quality at a reasonable price.Our cat Charlie T is a rescue we adopted from Bullard Animal Hospital. When he recently broke his leg (Yes, cats can break legs,) Dr. Bullard surgically set it with an external fixator and guided us through the long and difficult healing process.Kudos to Dr. Bullard and his staff for treating our pets like their own and not draining our bank account in the process.

Dr. Bullard diagnosed an issue my female rottie was having and immediately performed a surgical procedure in attempts of saving her life. Unfortunately, the last vet I visited was inadequate in his abilities and missed it. My rottie passed away after the surgery. Dr. Bullard was attentive to my needs, listened and I am thoroughly satisfied with his knowledge and abilities. I cannot give the same positive commentary for all of his medical staff. On one occasion the young female Vet asked was afraid to touch my dog even though he did not express any aggressive tendecies. I guess she felt it was ok to pre-judge my dog as well as my training abilitites. I was very disappointed in her. Normally I use the kennel as well when I travel and on every occasion when I pick up my dog he has lost a considerable amount of weight and drinks water at the house as if he haas been neglected his entire stay. With that being said, no more overnight stays for the pup. I feel that Dr. Bullard is a great animal care angel however if you cannot schedule with him, you may as well try another location. As for boarding, I'm not going to use them anymore.

After finding out that my boyfriend's family has been taking their pets to Dr. Bullard's for over 20 years, I knew that I had no choice but to take my pets to the same place. Luckily, I'm happy to take them there because the staff is wonderful, prices are hard to beat and the level of care is everything you could ask for from a vet's office. When my cat became ill and had to be put to sleep, the staff really helped to talk me through the difficult situation and even sent a sympathy card a week later to let me know that they understood my loss. Now, I take both of my big, goofy dogs there for all of their exams and to be boarded when they can't travel with me. The staff happily notes any special requests I might have during boarding and doesn't mind answering calls when I call to see if Luna and Ozzie are doing OK while I'm away.

Dr. Aiken is a very nice man and is very good with animals. One of my dogs has high anxiety about going to the vet. Dr. Aiken takes the time to pet him and calm him down everytime we go. He is also very understanding and cares a lot about his patients. He gives you lots of options and explains everything in detail. I wouldn't recommend you go anywhere else!
