I have rescued animals for quite some time now and have visited different veterinarian clinics but Ballground Animal Hospital surpasses any of them that I have ever been to. Dr. Gerlach and Dr. Forsyth have a compassion and love for animals like no other, they have always been very professional and goes above and beyond the call to make sure that your animal gets the best care ever. I would recommend this vet to anyone that is looking for top care for their animals .

A wonderful relaxed atmosphere chosen when other local veterinarians failed to provide the quiet, pet friendly, and as close to a "Fear Free" environment that I felt my pets deserved.
Dr. Sally Forsyth (Gerlach) was compassionate when I took my kitty in after she stopped eating and her tumors were growing. The doctor reviewed all the information I brought, did an examination, and agreed that I had done all I could for Bella. While I had never had to make the decision to end a pet's suffering Dr. Forsyth (Gerlach) made it a calm, respectful, and peaceful transition... exactly what I felt Bella deserved. Thank you Dr. Forsyth (Gerlach).

I took her brother Prince there because he needed extensive surgery and I had seen amazing results there with past senior pets. We are disappointed that we cannot give 6 stars on the 5 star scale. We have had pets for many decades, MANY health issues to handle, and Larry and Sally here are the two best veterinary experts we have ever worked with. Have been going there since they opened. Will continue to go until they close up shop. They have the technical knowledge to truly diagnose efficiently and accurately, the facilities in the office to do most of what you need, and the judgement be able to trust them with you most beloved little friends. They have treated at least two dozen pets we are involved with, and have shown professionalism, expertise, compassion, and good judgement every time. Some of the issues were very complicated and very challenging, and they showed the patience and analytical skills that fixed them all.If you are in this area, or anywhere close, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.I apologize that I cannot accurately convey our enthusiasm and appreciation for these wonderful Dr.s in words...

I have been taking my two dogs there for almost 7 years. Would not go anywhere else. The Vets are outstanding. They know what they are doing. The stay current on treatments and research. If the dogs illness is out of their area of expertise, they refer. They remember my animal from visit to visit. They always call me back when I have a question or problem. Prices are very reasonable. They do not have the excessive overhead of landscaping and BS that exists in Alpharetta or some of the upscale suburban areas. Quality animal care is #1. Fancy doilies on the ends tables is last.

We have 5 dogs and since these wonderful people moved to Ball Ground, they have been our vets. They combine an absolute love of animals with technical expertise and a great sense for what to do. The Doctors have care for our animals in all phases of their lives, and we are absolutely comfortable that they get the best care humanly possible. They have dealt with a liver shunt, kidney stones, kidney failure, infections, an eye popped out of socket, and more. Every time, they have taken the most effective approach to the treatment, balancing compassion, care, and cost with consummate expertise. Having used other vets in the area, we are absolutely sure this is the best care we will ever find for our furry friends. With forty years of working with vets and pets, my wife and I are totally impressed with these Doctors. Absolutely recommended.

They have the technical knowledge to truly diagnose efficiently and accurately, the facilities in the office to do most of what you need, and the judgement be able to trust them with you most beloved little friends. They have treated at least two dozen pets we are involved with, and have shown professionalism, expertise, compassion, and good judgement every time. I have been taking my two dogs there for almost 7 years. Would not go anywhere else. The Vets are outstanding. They know what they are doing. The stay current on treatments and research. If the dogs illness is out of their area of expertise, they refer. They remember my animal from visit to visit. They always call me back when I have a question or problem. Prices are very reasonable. They do not have the excessive overhead of landscaping and BS that exists in Alpharetta or some of the upscale suburban areas. Quality animal care is #1. Fancy doilies on the ends tables is last.

We have 5 dogs and since these wonderful people moved to Ball Ground, they have been our vets. They combine an absolute love of animals with technical expertise and a great sense for what to do. The Doctors have care for our animals in all phases of their lives, and we are absolutely comfortable that they get the best care humanly possible. They have dealt with a liver shunt, kidney stones, kidney failure, infections, an eye popped out of socket, and more. Every time, they have taken the most effective approach to the treatment, balancing compassion, care, and cost with consummate expertise. Having used other vets in the area, we are absolutely sure this is the best care we will ever find for our furry friends. With forty years of working with vets and pets, my wife and I are totally impressed with these Doctors. Absolutely recommended.
