Had an emergency where two of my rescue babies got into a fight (they had not met yet, and one is aggressive from bad past) these people were incredibly rude, acted as if there was nothing they could do for the dogs until Monday, this happened a Friday night! My dogs were bleeding from over 20 pretty serious gashes and we literally had to convince these people to give them at least a pain shot until we could go to braselton emergency vet WHERE THEY WERE STICHED UP IMMEDIATELY. We used to use this place as a regular vet and they have just been highly disappointing and completely money hungry. Please bring your animals somewhere else for an emergency or even annuals, this place is full of unprofessional who could care less for the well being of your pet. Sickening. Read Less

Where to begin with this place . Many and i mean many issues but to keep it short and sweet . My dog had an obstructed intestine ( yeah my fault not the problem ) . Vet calls and basically gives him a death sentence over the phone . I go to pick him up to take him to UGA ( wow what a difference in customer service and care ) the vet does not even bother to come out and I had to wait 10 min to get my dog with them knowing I was taking him for emergency surgery ! Thats how much these people care . P.S that visit cost me more than the er visit he had 2 days prior to seeing them from a allergic reaction he got from them and i am on the wellness plan there which i cant get out of for the rest of the year . I've been bringing my dogs to the Bethlehem Ga location for nail trims since it opened. Today I was turned away because I didn't bring a rabies certificate from the vet with me. Apparently the collar tag from the vet with the certificate number and stating when it expires is no longer sufficient (funny, it is for the state and county). I suppose you think I can just crank these tags out in my living room. In any case you've lost a long time customer. Read Less

The veterinarians are nice and knowledgeable but the recommendations of medication/resolutions and the prices for those recommendations are ridiculous! The Wellness Plan for my dog is a WASTE OF MONEY because all it has been covering is the office visit fee besides the normal vaccines (which seems to be the only thing it is good for...unless you add heartworm meds for an extra $5/month.) Without the wellness plan, however, my dog's first visit would have cost nearly $300. I ended up paying less than $200 to start the wellness plan and pay for what it did not cover. Not to mention, when I received my receipt after a visit, it said the my dog was overweight but nothing was said to me about it when I was there. Also, I received a text message saying "at a recent visit a doctor noticed signs of dental disease and it may be time to schedule a cleaning" but yet two visits before this the doctor said my dog has perfect, pearly white teeth. Maybe these are automatic things being done on part of Banfield but it is scam in my opinion. However, I would recommend the Winder Corners Clinic which is only 10 minutes away from Banfield. I actually visited due to my senior dog being basically done with this life.To be honest, I didn't anticipate too much, since they are located inside the Petsmart and usually those are "drive by" 5-minute services. But...The doctor (can't remember her name) was FANTASTIC. She treated my dog as if it was hers. I actually felt she was genuinely concerned and attentive towards his needs.The process of saying good-bye to my pal was as painless as it can possibly be. Zero pressure or rush to "get it done". That doctor was phenomenal, too bad I am not planning to own any other pets.Highly recommend her services. Read Less

Disapointed we transferred to this Banfield from the one in Buford since we moved to this area. And we had our dogs in for their wellness exam and the vet who I found out was only a trainer had told us that one of our dogs had early stage kidney disease and that he needed to be hospitalized for 72 hours to have fluids and repeat blood tests. I was terrified because my dog is my baby and this was just too much to handle. We went home and I was discussing this with my husband and I mentioned that he has never had anything wrong with him and he has no symptoms. I did call one of the hospitals for pricing and I called Banfield back to get the records sent to them and thats when I was informed that the vet that treated my dog was a trainer. I was very disapointed in the fact that they didn't bother to call us back and follow up the vet made it sound so serious but this Banfield seems to not care. I decided to call the Banfield in buford because I am suspicious about it because I know if my dog had a problem at the Buford location they would be calling us to follow up and now we will be meeting them for a second opinion. I just don't feel any conncection with the vet at winder location. Maybe it was just bad luck with that one but for first time having my dog see them it was very disapointing. Read Less

Friendly staff but the doctors don't care about the pets only the money. I took my senior dog there and they put her on a medication after an almost $200 doctor visit with shots and office visit. They neglected to tell me that they would need blood work to keep her on it so I would have to pay over 100 not including the medicine. When I talk to the doctor for help with the situation she just told me to either get the plan or call them when I had the money . I called the Winder Pet Clinic already they been a lot of help and very friendly. Call that place if u care about your pets. Read Less

I adopted a pet one week ago and I called at 5:30pm very concerned because I got home from work and the dog I adopted started ripping his hair out of his legs and belly. The reply I got over the phone from Banfield was "well we close at 7pm and you wouldn't want to come in and have to wait so we can see you tomorrow". What I needed was a kind compassionate person willing to help me and what I got was a brat on the phone expressing to me that they were closing in 1 1/2 hours so she didn't want me to come in. She said " we close at 7" at least 5 times on a 2 minute phone call. How rude. I ended up taking my new dog to Four Paws in Statham. They were amazing and so kind and empathetic and they really cared. They took care of my dog and made me feel so much better! I recommend taking your dog to Four Paws if you want good quality care.Read Less

This place..lack of knowledge and service..is a rip off. Go find a local vet that cares for animals and is not out for just ripping people off. I wouldn't take any animal to be treated here. They lie..inflate prices..call you a bad pet owner when you call them on it. Vets here are apparently paid by the services they provide..and the prices are higher than any other local vet..they reel you in on the Wellness plans.honestly..don't waste your money or compromise your pets health Read Less
