We moved to Monroe about a year ago so I did my research and found Happy Tails to have good reviews. I couldn’t be happier with our choice. Everyone is great, the techs are very professional and thoughtful. I have met with both Dr. Kris Kleine and Dr. Anderson. Both are great at describing the prognosis as well as the treatment plan. So happy we decided to try Happy Tails. Extremely helpful and patient. Talked me through everything and explained all the options. The doctor and tech were actually down on the floor sitting with my dogs, going over everything and answering all my questions. I cant say enough about this place. My dear friend recently brought her pregnant dog in for a check up. They took an X-ray and examined her and said that she was in labor. They instructed her to take her home and keep an eye on her. Her dog labored until Monday morning when she finally gave birth to one puppy and another 2 hours later but no progress after that. My friend had never had a dog in labor before and felt like something wasn't right so she called the vet and explained that her dog was still in labor from Saturday and had two puppies but none in the last 4 hours. They stated to leave her dog alone and give her dog privacy and they would call and check on her during lunch. My friend did as they instructed and then attempted to call them again after lunch time because she felt like something was wrong but couldn't reach anyone. They finally returned her call at the end of the day about the time they were closing, which she unfortunately missed because she was caring for her dog and then when she called them right back, the office was closed. The next morning, she called first thing explaining that her dog had a stillborn puppy during the night and her dog was very weak and did not looked like she could possibly be dying. They told her sorry that they couldn't get her in because they were booked and seemed not to care at all for the emergency situation or the fact that my friend's dog was dying. My friend turned into panic mode and called another vet who seemed to realize the seriousness of the situation and instructed her to bring her in immediately. They were awesome! They examined her and did blood work and opted for a c-section immediately. Unfortunately her dog did not make it and passed away during the surgery. I know that vet's offices do get busy and care for a lot of animals going in and out of their offices but I feel the way they handled this entire situation was wrong and had action took place sooner, my friend would have had an entirely different outcome. The nonchalant attitude regarding the dog's pregnancy and labor was not the correct outlook to take. It appears they normally provide great services for animals and I'm very glad to hear that but I feel in this situation, they dropped the ball and unfortunately an animal's life was lost. Read Less

We have been using Happy Tails for our pets for about a year and a half now. Recently, we had to make the very difficult decision of having one of our pets euthanized. Callie was not just our pet, she was our family. She was my baby. The staff at Happy Tails definitely made this difficult time a little bit easier for us. They were very professional, and very good to Callie. I wouldn’t expect any less from them, as they have been great with our other pets as well. Not only were they great and professional, both before and during our visit with her, but they even mailed us a sympathy card expressing their condolences. This place is great. Our elderly pet was dying and our veterinary office didn't have the time to see us! I immediately called Happy Tails who I was familiar with due to their work with Canine Pet Rescue for whom I volunteer. They were able to get us an appointment within 1 hour and my husband was able to comfort our pet in her last moments. Still astonished at the insensitivity of our previous vet office. I will be bringing my dog and my newly adopted rescue dog to Happy Tails and NEVER going back to that other place! Read Less

We are in a little town in Georgia with a VERY sick Doberman. Away from home due to Hurricane Irma, we were unsure where to turn. The fabulous staff at our hotel recommended Happy Tails.  I gave them a call and they took her right in.  Saying Dr. Klein and his staff are outstanding would be a gross understatement!  Kind, thorough, gentle, and vigilant -- every attention to possible causes and implications.  Dr. Klein is obviously highly trained and extremely competent.   But, he also truly seems to care for his patients --even one just passing through. My husband and i absolutely love happy tails. Kristen and kris make it a point to make sure my dogs are comfortable, as most dogs they get a little nervous at the vet. They are great at explaining everything and Kristen as even told me her personal experiences with her dogs and what she has found to been the most helpful in similar situations. I walked in 10 days ago in tears and in a panic because my normal vet was out of town. My dog had an emergency and needed surgery. They were able to calm my fears and took excellent care of my fur baby. They saved his life and saved his eyesight. Took my newly adopted kitten in today, and I couldn't have been happier with my visit! We recently had to put our 12.5 year old Westie to sleep after a battle with cancer. Dr Kleine and his staff we so compassionate and kind. They let us set the pace of the procedure and gave us all the time in the world to say good bye to our sweet boy Harry. I can't thank them enough for everything they did to help us. There is no one else we trust to take care of our dog (Frankie) than Dr. Klein. After years of being overcharged and rushed through appointments, Dr. Klein was a breath of fresh air. He is amazing with our dog and always thorough. Not only does he not try to overcharge, there have been several times that he could have performed surgery on Frankie that he chose not to. The very BEST of care and knowledge. Dr Kleine was so patient with my 100lb male German Shepherd doing his OFA hip x-rays. We received a good at 5 years old.. very very happy. Then there is Buzz with a slipped disc, you could not ask for more devoted care and knowledge. So very worth the drive, we come from 124 and Sugarloaf.
