Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospital

Bonaire, Georgia
General Info
Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospital provides assistance to Bonaire’s pet families by promoting behavior-first strategies implementing a structured routine system identifying Georgia’s habit patterns. The visit starts with a conversation about daily rhythms, which includes how energy levels, diet patterns, social behaviors, and sleep quality are intertwined with stress and environmental factors. Additionally, evaluations target joint function, oral health, skin condition, and posture. The vet observes how an animal reacts to touch and pressure, trying to find the areas that experience pain or physical tension. Past records are also used to track trends in the bird’s body that could result from metabolic changes, musculoskeletal strain, or other behavioral modifications. Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospital offers diagnostic screening, vaccination programs, blood and fecal tests, nutritional consultations, and pain management plans. Doctors’ visits for allergies are more frequent in spring, consultations about parasites – in summer, and arthritis evaluations – in cold months. Breeds predisposed to anxiety or experiencing chronic health conditions would also need to visit more often as they hit milestones. Pet owners obtain reports and logs, in addition to follow-up care intervals, with an option to digitally check the pet’s progress. Caregivers of elderly and multiple pets can request to use the telehealth and behavior-related recheck systems for adaptive scheduling. Through the careful observation and alignment with seasonal changes, Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospital empowers Bonaire pet owners and those across Georgia to identify needs ahead of time and take appropriate action. The services offered at Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospital include Nutritional Counseling, Cold Laser Therapy, Internal Medicine, In-House Pharmacy, Dental Care, Boarding and Grooming, Microchipping and Bloodwork as well as Livestock/Farm Animal Care. Thanks to this variety, local pet owners in Bonaire and the surrounding area can access everything from routine checkups to complex procedures. The clinic is well-regarded in the Bonaire community for its dedication to ensuring pets have the opportunity to live healthy and comfortable lives.

Dr. Hodges and his staff are nothing short of phenomenal!!! Unfortunately, I purchased a sick puppy from a pet store in Macon and the pet store did not recommend Critter Fixers, they recommended another veterinary hospital instead although I explained that ALL of my puppies are seen by Critter Fixers. To make a long story short I AM GRATEFUL TO THE STAFF AT CRITTER FIXERS VETERINARY HOSPITAL! The puppy I purchased was sick and they identified ALL of the issues and are treating them with medication. If you or someone you know purchased a pet from a store located in Macon who strongly DOES NOT RECOMMEND Critter Fixers (by name), I ask you to reconsider. The hospital they referred me to, does not have the best ratings. Short, sweet and simple Dr. Hodges is MY HERO and his caring, compassionate and understanding team makes them MY NUMBER 1 recommendation; if you want your baby to remain healthy and live. God bless! I will not take any of my pets to this vet again.  I took my cat there to get spayed.  When I brought her home she hid for about a week and would barely eat.  She finally started to become more social but I noticed a knot on her stomach where the incision was made.  Not long after that,  she went into heat.  I was confused. Later on, I went to check the knot on her stomach again and noticed it was bigger.  I took her back and told them about the knot and how she was going into heat.  They looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about.  The vet was in a hurry about something and told me to bring her back so he could do surgery again.  Well I didn't because if he's gonna make a careless mistake to begin with, then he'll do it again.  Maybe he shouldn't even be a veterinarian.  They traumatized my cat and I advise those that love their pets to consider a different vet than this careless vet.  Luckily,  my cat is still alive.
