I brought my first fur baby there about 2 yrs ago while living in that area. Service has always been great! The staff is personable and work as a family. Always a pleasure. When I moved an hour away and brought home my 2nd furbaby .. it was a no brainer….I trust Dr. Clark ….and I drive an hour for their visits. Recently they both were not well. Dr. Clark took great care of my babies and me. lol …I got really lucky with having Dr.Clark as my family veterinarian.. considering he also works with my mom puppy as well!

I have brought all of my pets, current and past, to this vet. 6 in total (5 dogs and 1 cat) plus we've taken neighbours' pets in there. In the past, they were amazing! Super friendly, smiles on their faces, like they were happy to see me and my dog. And their prices were really reasonable. I haven't been in for a couple of years, but this time I went in with my new puppy. First I was totally shocked at the cost of puppy vaccinations and brief vet check at around $350!! Second time I went in, I asked for the vaccination record that I gave them to be completed. Only the sticker was added and the record was not filled out, then it was another $250 odd. I love all my dogs and cat, and know they come with a price, but the increased price in vaccinations has caused me to now go to another vet for services of my animals. I mean, if it's this much for vaccinations, I'd hate to see how much any other services would be, and I even have private pet insurance on most of them. Such a shame as I am usually a very loyal client.

I love the staff at VCA Chamblee. They take such great care of Zena. I adopted her a year ago from the humane society. Zena loves the staff here they spend a lot of time and give her a lot of attention when she boards. They make her feel like part of the family. Exceptional Staff!!!!! I would recommend this location to everyone. I recently moved farther away from this location. But it’s well worth the drive to bring her here where I know she is in good hands while away from home.

They will find a way to overcharge you. On my dog's first stay there they said that they gave him a fecal test - complete with a clean bill of health. I got him home and he had large noticeable worms in his stool. They hadn't done any fecal testing because it was obvious with the naked eye that he had massive white worms. So they charged for it but didn't do the work. The next stay - another battery of shots (as you'd expect for his yearly). But just five days later, when he had to stay again, they contrived a way to charge for two baths and a flu shot! A four day stay - $217! There are much better places in town that are more professional, diligent, and cost effective. This place happened to be convenient for me but I'll drive the extra couple miles in order for my dog to get appropriate care.

The doctor and staff were nice, and I felt my dog was well cared for. Thus the 3 stars. However, they don't carry the prescribed oral flea treatment. The technician said they stopped carrying it because most people want to buy it online. I find that odd. Then even though I expressed interest in having my pet spayed, the technician tried using scare tactics to get me to do it. She said every time my dog goes into heat increases her risk for uterine cancer. Really? I guess all wild dogs and breeders are doomed? I'll find another vet.

Will not go back. Came in for annual exam and shot updates. Was charged $58 for exam, and vet didn't even look in our dogs ears, check his teeth, or ask us anything about our dog. Disappointing especially because we told vet tech we were concerned about his ears and wanted the vet to look at them.

The staff here is very friendly, but that's not what it's all about. I feel that I should be able to walk into a vet and walk out with my problem answered. It seems the times I have been I haven't left with answers just maybes and could be's. My cat has been here multiple times and I'm still having the same problem with her urinating . I get told clean her litter box more often or isolate her. HOW LONG DO YOU EXPECT ME TO ISOLATE MY CAT?! The male Vetenarian there did not make me leave feeling comfortable when I took her for the very first time. I just took it as me being overwhelmed having a new kitten that's urinating everywhere. Also she is blind and I took her there for that and he didn't give me much help with that situation either. You are the vet, that's what you went to school for. I expect more from you than the answers I left with.

The front desk staff is very friendly, and have been very sweet to our timid pup! They are very compassionate. They price match for most flea, tick ,and heartworm products. The VCAs have a great program to finance your pup's yearly exams/shots/ect. You also receive other perks as a part of this program.
Cons:
Dr. Pope is very dismissive (and not friendly at all).

Very, very friendly. Staff were flexible and willing to work with us when we had an immediate need for boarding. Everyone there seems experienced and willing to provide advice.

I would NOT go to this vet if your pet is having an emergency issue. I've had to bring my cat in three times in the past three days because they keep misdiagnosing him! We found out today that the first two doctors (out of the three in total that we've seen) who looked at our cat were INTERNS who weren't qualified and should not have been allowed to diagnose our cat without some kind of supervisory approval. They prescribed my cat medicine and procedures that we now know are unrelated to his condition and now he's peeing blood and in immense pain. We've spent $500 in visits, tests, and prescriptions and are no closer to helping my poor baby. We're close maxing out our credit card now and I don't know how we're going to be able to afford further treatment at a different vet. Save yourself and your pet the pain and frustration of this place and go somewhere else.

There are no words to describe the people at this facility. My dog had never been boarded before and he can have severe social anxiety. The team @ this VCA location was very patient with all the questions I had when I first started bringing my pup and entertained all my (probably over the top) requests. The team absolutely understands busy life schedules and has been more than accommodating and helpful when things come up. They all know my pup by name and he has absolutely taken a liking to them all, which makes me feel so much better about having to leave him. I am now being moved again for my job, and can honestly say that one of the biggest cons is not being able to continue using this facility with this team. I can not say enough about the team at this facility. I am so very thankful for them.

Staff are very friendly! My dogs love going for boarding. They get walks and playtime out in the yard and the vet is open for sunday pick-up. Very reasonable prices.

We took our dogs to VCA Pets Are People Too in Chamblee for a long, long time, but have finally switched to another vet. The staff here is reasonably friendly, most of the time, and I think they took okay care of our dogs, but the care has become more and more generic over the years, especially since VCA took over several years ago. The doctors seem to change frequently, so there's no continuity. It seems like they treated all dogs basically the same; it's all just routine. Their prices also crept up, and we seemed to be asked to approve expensive x-rays or other treatments. I don't think you'd necessarily go wrong here, but it's somewhat generic, and a bit expensive.

I had the pleasure to use this hospital. They are very knowledgeable, and quick. Also prices are reasonable. I boarded my cat at $13/night. I didn't have to bring food. They were able to give him shots but not able to draw his blood. Other place know tricks of the trade. I guess they did not try hard enough. I was a special case and they helped me out a lot. I would recommend to others and return in the future.

I have brought all of my pets, current and past, to this vet. 6 in total (5 dogs and 1 cat) plus we've taken neighbours' pets in there. In the past, they were amazing! Super friendly, smiles on their faces, like they were happy to see me and my dog. And their prices were really reasonable. I haven't been in for a couple of years, but this time I went in with my new puppy. First I was totally shocked at the cost of puppy vaccinations and brief vet check at around $350!! I love the staff at VCA Chamblee. They take such great care of Zena. I adopted her a year ago from the humane society. The staff here is very friendly, but that's not what it's all about. I feel that I should be able to walk into a vet and walk out with my problem answered. It seems the times I have been I haven't left with answers just maybes and could be's. My cat has been here multiple times and I'm still having the same problem with her urinating . The VCAs have a great program to finance your pup's yearly exams/shots/ect. You also receive other perks as a part of this program.

There are no words to describe the people at this facility. My dog had never been boarded before and he can have severe social anxiety. The team @ this VCA location was very patient with all the questions I had when I first started bringing my pup and entertained all my (probably over the top) requests. The team absolutely understands busy life schedules and has been more than accommodating and helpful when things come up. They all know my pup by name and he has absolutely taken a liking to them all, which makes me feel so much better about having to leave him. I am now being moved again for my job, and can honestly say that one of the biggest cons is not being able to continue using this facility with this team. I can not say enough about the team at this facility. I am so very thankful for them.
