Probably the best place to take your animal!! Great vet and staff and also very friendly. My boyfriend and I took our cat miko to the animal hospital in Athens and wasn't helped much at all even after spending $200 we thought there was no hope for him he wasn't eating or drinking or do anything really. Then we hear about this place and decided to try it out and was very impressed. Didn't take long and she already knew what to do to fix our little kitty and make him fee better and with half the money we gave the animal hospital in Athens. She was so great with him and gentle and just a great person to deal with. I will be going to her from now on with all of Mikos needs. The entire staff came together to save our poor little kitty that had been attacked and wouldn't eat and we thought she was dying. However, under the competent care provided by Dr. Andrews she is doing so much better even though she had to have her tail amputated. Too me, her healing was sort of a miracle because she was so sick. Shout out to Megan who was constantly calling and giving us updates on our cat and always invited us to come visit our cat while she was staying at the doctor's office. I cannot say enough how much I LOVE this vet. Dr Andrews and her staff are the most  amazing and caring vets I have ever worked with. You just can tell she truly cares about all animals, AND their owners (that is the important thing). When we lived in Athens, our oldest Husky was going to a different vet (on 29 close to Hull). Not only did they charge an outrageous amount for just plain check-ups, they kept charging us hundreds and hundreds more dollars when we had questions about a sore on his neck. Three different diagnoses - all wrong, and thousands of dollars wasted. And all of the diagnoses were COMPLETELY different from the one before. (1) Its just a bug bite, (2) Maybe he got shot with a BB gun and it lodged in his skin, (3) Looks like a growth. All three of these scenarios ended with us paying them MORE money just so their Vet techs can misdiagnose the heck out of our dog. Fed up and frustrated with going broke at that other vet and still not receiving one solid answer, we finally went to Colbert Animal Hospital. It was the best decision we ever made!!! Dr Andrews took one look at our sweet 11 year old Husky and knew it was cancer. Of course this was absolutely devastating news to us, but she was so kind and even hugged us while we were taking in the news (this was he fist time we ever met her too). She didn't ask us to spend hundreds of dollars on different tests to see what kind of cancer, and she didn't suggest surgery because of his age and he complications it could have brought. Instead, she took an holistic approach to his care and he was able to live 2 more fun-filled years under her care. We were so grateful for her and her staff during those 2 years. They are so compassionate. We now live in Decatur and have not found a quality vet who even remotely compares to Dr Andrews and her staff. So we still drive our other Husky up to Colbert, 1.5 hours away. She is THAT GOOD! I recommend her to ANYone looking for compassionate, affordable, quality care for their beloved pets. Read Less

We left our dog in their care while we went to the beach. When we returned home and picked her up from the clinic, she had a huge infection on her neck and was dirty and disgusting. She was completely healthy and clean when we dropped her off. The staff did not even call us to let us know that our dog was ill. When we asked one of the vets what happened she explained that our dog 'was left outside and just got hot'. It is possible that in the past this was a good clinic, but their so called "services" have definitely gone down hill. If I were you, I would definitely not use this clinic.Read Less

Pet care just does not get better than that provided by Dr. Gloria Andrews. A total four paw rating for Dr. Andrews and the Colbert Animal Hospital. They have been caring, on-target in diagnosis and truly the best vet care ever (and in other cities, we had been to quite a few). Dr. Andrews even recommended an ophthalmological specialist that saved one of our cat's eyes -- when the Atlanta veterinary eye specialist we went to first was clueless about the problem.
