Had an emergency with my 2 year old dog max walked in here and was immediately welcomed by Mrs. Diane she was amazing and very sweet they typically dont take walk ins but they where able to help my big baby not even 20 mins later Mrs. Krystal our doggy nurse helped us out walked us over to the room and was very patient and sweet with us. I was not impressed by this veterinary clinic. I have a 14 year old cat showing all the symptoms of severe hyperthyroidism, which is a very common problem of elderly cats. I asked the vet if she would run a simple blood test to check my cat’s T4 levels which is an indication of hyperthyroidism. They refused and only gave me the option of a complete blood panel which was extremely expensive. Also the medication for hyperthyroidism is extremely expensive and you have to keep repeating the expensive blood tests over and over. I cannot afford the treatment. Instead of offering me any advice on how to support my cat or anything else I could do, the vet was defensive and very unfriendly. She barely examined my cat and did not provide any information or anything. When you go to the doctor with an illness, any good doctor will talk to you and counsel you on your options. I took my dog here to get neutered and was told he had a crypt orchid and needed surgery. So we had the surgery completed and paid over $200 for it. When we moved back to Pennsylvania I took him to the vet and was told that his testicles are intact still inside him so i'm not sure what I paid for! When I contacted the BBB the doctor wanted me to have a $400 test done to confirm this. They are HIGHLY recommended because they are affordable but at what cost?? Read Less

Dr. Eakle was very thorough in explaining what his immediate needs were and what would could to be done at a later visit just to keep my bill from not being astronomical. We took our 12 year old black lab in to be put to sleep. The staff was extremely professional and kind. It was very hard for me and my wife but they were very caring. I took my German Shepard in to get neutered. The vet tech suggested that because he was " well endowed" we have the sack removed as well. To be fair everything turned out okay but his shaft looked like this when we got him home. Now I understand some swelling and bruising but this is two to three inches from the site of the incision. I've been taking my 3 pups here for the past 2 years. Starting with my 2yr old Lab/Pit mix, Bane. He's all over the place and wants to love everyone. He was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia in 2015. Dr. Brennan was so helpful and recommended me to Dr. Mitchel @ Phenix Animal Hospital to preform the surgery he needed. He's now recovered and acts like he never had surgery! Xerxes is our 2nd baby. He's a 1year old Lab/Husky/Basset mix rescue. He's very shy around strangers but is an absolute sweetheart when he warms up to you. All he wants is cuddles. Dr. Brennan and her staff always sit on the floor with Xerxes and are so sweet to Xerxes to help with his nervousness. In spring 2016, he developed a benign tumor on his foot. Dr. Brennan was so helpful, even though Xerxes chewed his cone off and got his stitches off a few times. Lastly is our newest baby, Loki. He's a 4month old Siberian Husky. He unfortunately didn't get to meet Dr. Brennan due to her maternity leave, but we just got him neutered this past week. The staff was loving on him and giving him so much affection. When we came to pick him up, he didn't want to leave! He wanted to keep loving the staff lol. Lauren, Leah, Zack, and Diane are just absolutely fantasic! The prices are also the cheapest in town! Very unprofessional I had a very sick dog who has been going there along with other two dogs and cat because I didn't have an appointment they said they could not see my dog til Monday this being on a Thursday I told them them the symptoms she was attributing and they told me it was serious and needed to be seen immediately but they could accommodate me or her I asked if they took walk ins they said yes but if I tried that she would not get the care needed so I asked if she would be seen after 300 PM they kept tap dancing around the truth or answer I have already contacted better business bureau and the Georgia association of vetinaries on this poor treatments and business practices im about to get all my furry friends transferred to benning animal hospital which took her in walk in treated her and got her well again more affordable then this crappy clinic Read Less

I was a first time client today for my 2 dogs for basic veterinary care (annual exams, vaccines, nail trim, & revolution) as well as a refill prescription of my dogs anxiety meds. The techs & receptionist were very nice & helped me get my dogs out to the car because I had a stroller & am pregnant & One of my dogs is very anxious. I will however be asking to see another veterinarian next time. I'm not going to elaborate but after having several years of veterinary medicine experience myself I know how you should treat & talk to a client & I was not impressed with how I was treated what so ever by the veterinarian. I even received a verbal apology from a staff member for how the veterinarian was talking to me. I will try the clinic again because all of the other staff was great but I will be asking for a different veterinarian next time.Read Less

I recommend anyone who goes to this vet to make sure you know exactly what your pet is getting and what you are paying for. I have always trusted the vets to take care of my animals since they're the professionals. This vet Did Not give my dog his routine shots that he should have had, and I didn't find out until I went to another vet clinic. They need routine shots Every Year and I trusted they would do that. Instead they gave him an allergy shot and filled the bill paper up with random things to make it look like more was done. Where they list services done they put things like, Thanks for spaying or neutering, you vet techs name was whatever, things like that to make it look like they did more for him. My dog is 12 years old now and he needs to have his shots just like any other dog. When i went to go to the vet and looked at his papers I realized what had happened. The new vet told me i was right and there was nothing on there that he Should have had. I am very disappointed in this vet office that they took advantage of us. I do not know all about what my dog needs so i tell them he needs his routine shots. I'm sure that is what most people say, but I would make sure your pet gets what they should at this office. We paid about $200 and only got a allergy shot! That is not right! That is also why I thought he got the shots he needed because it cost that much. It is really sad that a place pet owners are supposed to be able to trust do something like this. I have not been back to this vet and warn all other pet parents to be careful and make sure you are getting what you need for your pet. I hope this keeps this from happening to another pet. We went a whole year without any of the shots he needed, thank God he didn't get sick. We are brand new puppy parents. So naturally we wanted to find the best vet for our little man. We went to all the clinics in Columbus and the surrounding area, touring them, meeting with some vets and checking out the prices. By far Afforable vet services was the best in the area. Everyhing from it's homey feel and wonderfully clean smell to the friendly staff was exactly what we wanted. The vet we had, took the time to answer any questions we had about our puppy's health and even questions that weren't related to his health. Very friendly staff and affordable vet services, but facility is dirty, smelly, and has fleas. My Crocker Spaniel was in need of cherry eye surgery and had to stay for an extended amount of time the day of. Everything went well but about a week later I noticed she had fleas & my cat had fleas & I was getting bit (never having a history fleas- NEVER). My pets are INDOOR PETS. We treated our lady bugs & the house and longer dealing with this problem. Be very careful if you decide to take your babies there. Read Less

I am SOOO glad I found this clinic! We got a new puppy and the woman that sold him to us said to have him fixed, chipped and all his shots would be about$150 to $200. I live on a fixed income so I thought I might have to get Major's chip and shots now, and maybe get him fixed next month. I just happened to see AVS's sign as I was driving with him back to the house, so I stopped in. They did everything for under $100 that day - fixed, chipped and shots. They are my new vet!
