Today I took my dog in for his heart worm exam, after they forgot to do it two weeks ago when I was in there, and had a very bad experience. Dr. Thorson came in after exam was done and was talking to me about heart worm medicine and flea medicine. He asked what my dog was on and I said Trifexis, which is the flea pill and heartworm together. He said he did not sell it and I said I know I get it from PAWS. He informed me if I was going to buy my medicine from PAWS then I can take them to PAWS. That man is rude, controlling and expensive when he makes you come in every six months instead of once a year and he doesn't get your tags you have to mail in to get them from the city. I've never been to a vet that is so controlling and money hungry. You personal doctor doesn't tell you where to buy medicine so I don't feel that a vet has the right to tell you where to buy medicine either. His confortis is 100.00 and the heartworm shot is about 30.00 costing 130.00 for six months. You can get Trifexis at PAWS for 70.00 and it covers both for six months....so you can get a year for 140.00 saving you like 120.00... I hope someone else out there agrees with me and posts against him telling you where you can buy your medicine. Also this coming in every six months is ridiculous...my other vet we went once a year unless they were sick. This man is ridiculous...don't take your dog here PLEASE! Read Less

My dog ended up over medicated and put to sleep for a haircut! She is 11 and extremely docile and obviously did not require anesthesia. Read Less

This place is a complete joke. If your dog stays here you must get Bordetella every 6 months. Never heard of such a thing. Also Dog flu shots are mandatory two of them this year. I mean My dogs have stayed at multiple kennels and because of moves have been to a couple Vets and this is the only place that comes up with these mandatory vaccinations. All they want to do is make money off of you. Please read the other reviews and then find a better vet and kennel. Read Less

I took my JRT here 10 years ago because someone I worked with used them. My Jack Russell was about 5 or 6 months old and they were having a special for the month on spay/neuter and let me tell you it was a disaster! We dropped him off on a Sunday like they advised and they were to neuter him the following morning & I could pick him up after work. Well I called 3 or 4 times that day to check on him & every time it was "he is ok" And they had my work #! Well as soon as my sister picked him up and brought him home I almost flipped. My 6 month puppy looked like someone had flipped him over & put him on his back & stomped on him! He was black & blue all over his stomach! AND to top that off when my sister was there to get him they had pulled 3 teeth from his mouth & charged me for it! NEVER one time in all the calls I made to check on him did anyone ask if it was ok to pull his teeth. The only explanation the female vet could give my sister when she saw him was that our dog was a "cool" dog and that she had another JRT in there the week before & he did the same as far as his stomach so they must be from the same litter.... wtf? If they had asked me when I called to check on him I would of had no problem with them pulling some puppy teeth but to just assume I am ok with it & charge me for it is nutts! what if I didnt have the money? And he had to be taken some where else & his wound was not even closed up good! It was like some back yard butcher shop! the night we got him back he paced the floor all night & could not get comfortable. We were told to bring him back in a week for a recheck & we left his favorite toy there as well by accident. needless to say we NEVER went back & he got a new toy once he started having anything to do with us again.
