I have been taking my Grand FurBaby he while he has been staying with me. The staff is so friendly and I love the Vets that work there. The place if very clean. They always take us right back to a room as soon as we get there. We are usually in and out very quickly. Thirty minutes had been my longest wait and that was when he was given a bath. The prices are pretty cheap and they are great with your animals. I highly recommend trusting them with your fur babies. Read Less

Have always received great care from the vet staff for our two dogs and one cat. Vets explain conditions, probable solutions and multiple options. They can usually see you right away. Prices are a lot less expensive than our previous vet. We believe they are great vets offering care. Most of the staff at reception is very friendly and helpful. I haven't had a bad experience here, which does not render 5 stars.  However, I really have to commend Dr. Crouch and his manner of treatment of my 13 year old puppy and his attitude towards me and/or my wife.  He is a good guy and always makes me feel good about bringing my pup in to see him. We had to put down all three of our dogs in 2015 due to old age illnesses. They were 15, 12, and 10 years old. I don't know how I could have held up if not for the kindness and concern shown by everyone there. You won't find a better place for you pets health care concerns. The newest member of our family, Wishbone, is now 16 months old and spent a week there in August while we were in Montana. My mother taught me if I did not have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. Unfortunately, as adults we cannot always afford to adhere to such safety nets. I will not bore the readers with mundane objective descriptive content relative to my pet's last few appointments. I will however, attempt to be brief and fair. Most of the staff in which I have come in contact all need a continuing education course on customer relations. A brief reminder that it is the customers themselves in fact that keeps each and everyone of them employed. A polite professional greeting should all be but standard whenever a customer comes in or phones for that matter. It should go without saying that a thank you and come again or have a nice day may actually remind the customer of their pleasant experience the next time their services are needed or even when they hear of anyone else needing or seeking their type of service. Afterall, word of mouth goes a long way especially in this day and age. Hence, social media, etc..etc..etc.! The last few times I was there I was lucky if anyone even glanced up at me from the main reception area, let alone greet me and or say goodbye or thank you. I always think that I'm bothering them from their more important affairs or duties. Fortunately for this particular business the public has extremely limited choices in their field of operation. I do wish them luck in their future endeavors. They will need it as I hear a new potential venture is coming to town in 2017. My experience has always been great with this clinic. They're always happy to give a thorough explanation of the medication given, how it works, and a breakdown estimate of the bill beforehand. I also really like that the doctors don't try to push a lot of medications on your animals, unless needed. They've always been very sweet and understanding of my skiddish pup, and handle her with care. Read Less

I have 6 cats and 2 dogs. I trust the doctors and staff at Commerce Veterinary Hospital completely with all my critters, I've been going there 10+ years. They are dedicated to the health and welfare of all their patients. They are active in the community with yearly rabies clinics. Highly recommended. Read Less

We cannot say enough good things about this office. Every one we have ever met is stellar in their positions...and the Doctors! We've only twice before in all our lives met Doctors who are so highly trained, caring and considerate of the pet and the owner. Being a household with dogs and cats and the occasional 'drifter' bunny or other creature, we have no doubt about their abilities. Their prices are very fair for the service and quality provided and we are delighted that moving to Commerce meant an upgrade in Vet care! Read Less

Completely rude and hateful. I have been coming here with all my pets for several years. My Rottweiler Max is being seen there for hip dysplasia. It is very difficult for me to get him in and out of the car. He is under the care of commerce vet for pain management. In order to receive his medicine he has to have a physical every year and a rabies shot minimum. Out of nowhere they tell me that he needs his rabies shot to get his prescription, so I go in the nearest rabies clinic and get him a three-year rabies. I then fax the receipt over to them. I get a email stating that Max has not had a physical since 2013. How is this possible if he has to have a physical every year? Something went wrong in the records. In the process of trying to get all this sorted out they resort to allowing me to find another vet. I have been coming here for over 10 years. It saddens me that I am not worth anything to this practice without the money that I give. I chose commerce that because it was supposed to be A small town that who cares for the well-being of pets. When it comes down to their mistake they are quick to turn me away. This is a sad day for me and my pets.Read Less

The vets here are nice, however one of the receptionists is incredibly rude and unhelpful. When taking my dog to the vet for the first time, she by no means went out of her way to explain how services worked. The primary issue I had was she watched for probably 2 minutes while I struggled to get the dog (who was a stray I had known for a few days at this time) to stand still on their scale. She finally hastily came over and tried to weigh the dog herself (her job!). While I 100% remember her name I will save her the embarrassment of publicly blasting her on Yelp. She should really consider a job that requires less compassion and people skills, because I have also encountered her same attitude when taking my cats to this vet. No longer a customer here! At the point where you have an animal set to be killed, euthanized if it makes it sound better to you, wouldn't you think that someone giving it a chance to live a life would be a better solution? I understand not letting an animal go to just anyone, you want to be sure it will be treated right and cared for but have the heart to give the person a chance to try to save this sweet animals life. Very uncaring staff. My cat was dying. I came back in to get more pain medicine and they told me they would give it to her this time (which I paid 21.00 for) this time, but she would have to have a rabies shot before she got any more. I was just trying to keep her alive for Christmas. They didn't remember me from days before and didn't read the file at all. Scary. Obviously more interested in money than caring about my cat. DO NOT ADOPT FROM HERE UNLESS YOU GET A GOOD VET EXAM! I adopted from an ad on Petfinders with contact info of Humane Society of Jackson County. When we arrived from out of town, we were told they were pulled from a shelter and vet checked. Please consider adopting a rescue but beware of illness in the animal. My Shelby had to be put down 4 days after adoption because of severe whipworm (should be detected by fecal exam) and Parvo and Corona.They don't tell you they work with animal control and get the adoption money or are paid to euthanize if not adopted.Very uncaring people. Got a "curt" response when I responded to a reminder email about Shelby's shots. She had been put to sleep 30 minutes prior. I have a large vet bill trying to save her, to no avail! A larger adoption fee to include an exam would be appropriate! Shelby's 2 litter mates probably have the Parvo as they were in a pen together. I wish the new adoptee parents less heartbreak than I had.I hope the people that DUMPED this litter of beautiful blue merle sheltie pups does the responsible thing and spays their female. I would be willing to pay for it!Shelby had one day of love and caring, I have heartbreak! PS>>>> They also board animals and have a holding area for pre and post surgical animals. We have a dog that my husband has had mostly all his life. This year, his health got really bad and we discussed it and decided to have him put to sleep. I chose Commerce because I had a family member that had told me to use them. When I called to talk to them about it, they were very cold and acted like they didn't care about what I had to say. This was very hard for me because this dog is part of our family. As I was talking to the lady at the front, I noticed she got very quite...I then realized she was ignoring me and talking to the people in the back ground. I would not recommend this place to anyone!! Animals are very special to their families and these people should be a little more caring when it comes to something like this. Read Less
