I took my dog to this vet based on reviews on here and was disappointed to say the least. I brought him based on a concern of a spot on his back and he seemed a little low energy (my gf had been out of town btw) so I'm told the exam would be 47$.... Well 10 minutes in it becomes 122$ for a yearly checkup which Is a couple months early but what the he'll right man's bff and all... So I agree and we go back and the vet guy doing his thing and as I'm in the middle of explaining my dogs behaviour he says "I understand" he cuts me short like this 4 or 5 times and then tells me he's gotta go check the blood sample. While be was examining my dog I mentioned his gums and when he looks he mentions how "the color is perfect couldn't ask for anything better.... more on this in a second. So he comes out and tells me my dog Has heart worms, hook worms, and whip worms... now ALL three of these are not identifiable by me and need FECAL TESTS to determine hook and whip but I wasn't asked to bring a sample and remember the gums? Well later I find out that hook and whip worms will cause ANEMIA and the dogs GUMS are the place to check for ANEMIA... hmmm so his gums are perfect but he has worms that will make his gums grey? So I go to the front and the lady goes to ringing me up and the friggin bill is 390$! I said WHAT? I can't pay that I thought it was 122? Oh it was before "medicne" well the heart worm is literally 30 online and they tried to hit me for 100... the other wormer is also DIRT CHEAP and they did get me for that 100... So in summary I don't believe my dog Has ANY WORMS AND THEY RIPPED ME OFF based on everything I've read... I'm not a vet but I can read and I'm not so stupid that the vet couldn't gain anything from my description of his behaviors.... instead "I understand" every time I open my mouth. I am scheduled for a second opinion concerning his "prognosis" and I'm gonna sue this vet if indeed he is worm free. Shame on you for taking advantage of people and STEALING their money. Tried to tell me I needed to come to them for 17 months of this 100 medicine to be sure we got rid of the problem.

I love this place and I’ve been bringing my pups here for five years almost. Everyone is so kind and has always been good with my pit bulls. Unfortunately due to the economic crisis, I’ve had to start using Care Credit for the big stuff, and it’s not accepted here. I’ll still always come to Covington Vet Clinic for checkups and vaccinations. They’re a bunch of great people.

Our dog is a rescue and has issues. We prepared the office for how difficult she can be and they scheduled us accordingly. The Doctor was kind, patient and gentle. We were amazed at how well she behaved while under his care. The staff was incredibly kind as well. We are new to the area and grateful to Petsense for the recommendation. This office truly raises the bar.

My dog passed away recently. She had been brought in twice to this office and given rounds and rounds of antibiotics. No mention of CHF or fluid build up, only a cold. I went to Dr. Kruger for many years so I trusted this opinion far too long. Called after the second visit as I was still concerned, got no return call from the vet. Went to another vet, she was diagnosed with heart failure, being treated for Cushing's Disease and was put on insulin. Passed away a few days later.
I was never spoken to again by this vet, nor been given an explanation as to why these health issues were missed. The staff themselves are wonderful and I had left a review many months ago praising this office. It's with regret that I feel the need to post this review. But if your pet is sick and doesn't seem to get better after seeing this vet, I highly recommend getting a second opinion.

Is there room for more stars? Five just isn't enough in my opinion! I don't even know where to start! Covington Vet Clinic is the best and the only Veterinarian clinic I would ever recommend! I know my animals are properly taken care of and that is never questioned. Dr. Krueger is beyond knowledgeable in his field; he is simply a genius! He knows what to look for and always gives numerous options to his clients. His staff is the best! You won't find anyone else like 'em! Tiffany is the warmth and welcoming spirit that is either upfront or in the rooms handling your fur-babies; an affable being she is... Noreen knows the clinic inside and out! If you have any questions, she's your 'Girl Friday' ... so to speak. Carla is always smiling! Her charming and charismatic disposition is magnetic. Bailey is amazing! She takes her time to get to know you and your four-legged child. She is always cheerful and full of happiness! Cody maybe quiet at times, but he's super intelligent! He is always willing to help and is always a gentleman! If you are looking for a Vet to have a one-on-one relationship with for years to come, I couldn't possibly say anything to deter you from coming to Covington Vet Clinic. I personally have them on speed dial, if need be... :) These are gregarious people... They are the "life of the party." --- Don't believe me? GO check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

I've been going to doc Krueger & his fantastic crew for over 15 years. They're like family to me & my 4 legged babie's. Over the years I've had 11 pets that doc has seen & taken care of. He treats them with care & always knows the right treatment to do for them. He & his staff are what I call good people. As long as they're around I won't be going anywhere else. They were so sweet to my 9w old puppy, Chloe. The vet assistant held her close and gave her tons of love because she was scared. The Veterinarian was extremely explanatory and even handed us informational sheets to take home. He explained what he was doing each step through. Then on the way out we recieved a goody bag containing puppy food and a measuring cup, more brochures, and then they gave us 2 huge dental chews. They ladies at the front are very sweet, and they were very quick to give us pricing details and an explanation behind the next visit. Will definitely say going would be in your pets best interest!

About a year to two years ago my Chihuahua "Dixie" was having a lot of skin issues. The vet we used for a long time never gave a reason for the problems, so my best friend told me about Covington Vet Clinic and Dr. Krueger. I took Dixie to see Dr. Krueger, he ran test and we found out the skin issues were all from her thyroid. He put her on medication and the skin issue cleared up. Several months ago she started losing weight and again Dr. Krueger solved the problem. Dixie is diabetic. I am so thankful for Dr. Krueger and all his staff, they make going to vet a very pleasant experience for me. (of coarse my dogs wouldn't agree) All said if you are looking for a great vet and awesome staff I would recommend Covington Vet Clinic...

My family is forever rescuing some kind of animal. Dr. Krueger and his staff are always there for us in whatever way we need. Whether its for advice over the phone or an emergency visit. Prices are reasonable and they will work with you if needed. I never leave this office thinking they over sold me something or charged me more then they should...I would not trust my fur babies to anyone else. Our fur babies are our children in our home and Dr. Kruger and staff are the ONLY vet we trust with them and there lives. Another cool thing that is offered at Cov vet is evening appointments, if you work they will find a time to see your pets that works with your schedule. Thank you Covington Vet for all you do!

After 15 years taking my menagerie of pets to another veterinarian, I noticed that the level of service I received became hurried and sloppy. I struggled with the decision to override my sense of loyalty (guilt?) and move my animals to another veterinarian in the area who came highly recommended, but decided my animals deserved better care. Since the switch, I have wondered why I didn't switch sooner! Dr. Krueger presented a refreshing approach to veterinary care. His annual examinations of my pets are more thorough than those I receive for myself! Emergency or non-routine care is handled swiftly, and like a detective - he really digs to the root of the problem rather than throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. At all times, Dr. Krueger takes care to answer all questions extremely thoroughly so that the owner has a true understanding of the issues, the treatment, and the role they play as a member of the treatment team. The staff is efficient, professional, friendly, and empathetic to the situation, and pet, and the owner. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Dr. Krueger and the entire team at Covington Veterinary Clinic - they provide superior care for my furry family members.

Have been a client for a couple of years now, and count on the service I get from the staff at CVC. Dr Krueger takes his time with my pets, and answers all my questions patiently. The support staff are friendly with me and gentle with my pets. I consider this a five star business.

I love this place and I’ve been bringing my pups here for five years almost. Everyone is so kind and has always been good with my pit bulls. My family is forever rescuing some kind of animal. Dr. Krueger and his staff are always there for us in whatever way we need. Whether its for advice over the phone or an emergency visit. Prices are reasonable and they will work with you if needed. I never leave this office thinking they over sold me something or charged me more then they should...I would not trust my fur babies to anyone else. Our fur babies are our children in our home and Dr. Kruger and staff are the ONLY vet we trust with them and there lives. Another cool thing that is offered at Cov vet is evening appointments, if you work they will find a time to see your pets that works with your schedule. Thank you Covington Vet for all you do!

Dr. Krueger and his staff are some of the most caring and compassionate people I have ever met. I have been a client for 12 years and have taken a menagerie of dogs , cats and even a bunny to this excellent doctor. I feel that my pets are cared for here as if they were their own....and that speaks volumes to me. Therefore, I gladly give Covington Vetinary Clinic FIVE stars.

After 15 years taking my menagerie of pets to another veterinarian, I noticed that the level of service I received became hurried and sloppy. I struggled with the decision to override my sense of loyalty (guilt?) and move my animals to another veterinarian in the area who came highly recommended, but decided my animals deserved better care. Since the switch, I have wondered why I didn't switch sooner! Dr. Krueger presented a refreshing approach to veterinary care. His annual examinations of my pets are more thorough than those I receive for myself! Emergency or non-routine care is handled swiftly, and like a detective - he really digs to the root of the problem rather than throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. At all times, Dr. Krueger takes care to answer all questions extremely thoroughly so that the owner has a true understanding of the issues, the treatment, and the role they play as a member of the treatment team. The staff is efficient, professional, friendly, and empathetic to the situation, and pet, and the owner. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Dr. Krueger and the entire team at Covington Veterinary Clinic - they provide superior care for my furry family members.

Have been a client for a couple of years now, and count on the service I get from the staff at CVC. Dr Krueger takes his time with my pets, and answers all my questions patiently. The support staff are friendly with me and gentle with my pets. I consider this a five star business.
