They care about you and your family member. The staff keep everything clean in the office and rooms. The pricing is the best around. I trust Dr. Rowan and his staff. I wanted to take a second and write a good review because I appreciate Dr. Ed Rowen and his wonderful staff. I have been coming here for years and I drive out of my way to come to their location. They are very well priced and not once have they tried to sell me extras that are not needed. I have had to go to vets closer to home sometimes and I always leave irritated because they charge a lot, add things you don't need and try and get you to buy expensive extras while guilting you. Makes me appreciate my vet even more. They have always been fair and honest and their care is excellent. Oh and they talk to my pets too. I took my Layla in last Monday to have a dental. I confess I priced shopped because I believe the prices that most vets around here charge are criminal for a routine dental cleaning. In Layla's case, the quotes around town were up to $650!!!!!!!! How do they sleep!? It's no wonder I see so many puppies in my grooming studio with overdo tartar buildup. The staff at Oglethorpe quoted me a price range close to 75% lower!!!!! The SAME service people. The front desk desk staff was fabulous! And Dr. Rowan was attentive, kind, and gave me all the confidence that I needed. They did a wonderful job, stuck to their price range(wow!), and Layla was wagging her tail when he brought her to me! We absolutely love Oglethorpe Animal Clinic. The doctors and nurses are very knowledgeable, caring, and listen when you tell them what is happening with your pet. We take our dog and cat there and have had numerous visits lately (both pets are elderly). They are very fairly priced and they do a fantastic job. Our dog had a lump removed from her face at the end of September 2016. It has healed beautifully. While she was recovering, she had some swelling. Oglethorpe called in an antibiotic for her at a local pharmacy. We have had only good experiences here. I actually really love that it's no appointment required before lunch. I just want to thank the Oglethorpe Animal Clinic for years of dedicated care and service to mine and my family's animals. I have received a card in the mail everytime we've lost a family pet, but today I received one for Sprocket, who we had to put down June 12th. Sprocket suffered what could only be described as a stroke, making her suffer, completely blind, and partially paralyzed. It being a Sunday, our only option was the emergency vet in Athens. It's one thing for a vet to clear it's record of a deceased animal, but it's touching for one to recognize the loss of a pet that they didn't have to put down. Thank you for being part of our family! We love Dr. Rowan and the staff here. We have been taking our dogs to Oglethorpe Animal Clinic for over ten years. They make an effort to keep veterinary care affordable and accessible. The vets have done various surgeries on our dogs over the years (tumor removal, ACL repair, neutering) and we have had great results and follow up care.
