Just to get this out of the way, I'm a weird dog person. We recently moved to the area from Seattle, and one of my biggest concerns was finding a new vet. We really liked the one we had back home, and it was hard to leave them. After researching and touring some places we decided to try Steeplechase. They have been absolutely amazing! Honestly, I think I like them even better than I did our vet back home. As someone who's life resolves far too much around their dogs, I can tell you I wouldn't hesitate to recommend others here. Came to Steeplechase as a second opinion. This was the 3rd visit for my dog for the same issue (first time at Steeplchase). I walked in, my dogs and I were greeted warmly, one of them jumped on the counter to give one of the girls a kiss... a good sign I thought. The vet tech sat with us and got the whole story, took her time writing notes, etc. Then Dr. Amiri came in, sat down took her time, listened to the issues, even took the time to look up the ingredients of one of the supplements my dog takes. She prescribed what she thought would be the best course of action for the next 3 weeks and said, if it doesn't get better, you come back and we keep trying different things. This was so different than looking at my dog cursory and sending me on my way with no check back that I had become used to. We will now be patients of Dr. Amiri from now on. AND they managed to cut/dremmel my dogs nails, no one has been able to do that for a few years!! Read Less

Dr Tonia Amiri has been caring for our kitties for several years. She's truly a loving and caring vet, with a great office staff. We just adopted a new little kittie from her - one who was quite damaged and who needed a lot of her care to get ready for adoption. Very friendly staff, and very informative on questions regarding my cat and his health. No pressure to pay for services unless I wanted it for my cat. We have four Havanese and have fostered many other Havs and small dogs over the past 8 years. Dr. Amiri has cared for all of them, routine and sick, and has been wonderful! She and her staff are patient with my many, many questions, have supported us with diet changes and titer testing vs. yearly vaccinations, and been open to discussion when it comes to their care. We had one very sick foster dog and they allowed me and my husband to come in and just sit on the floor in the clinic at her crate to comfort her while they stepped over and around us, not for one minute did they make us feel as if we were in their way even though we were. We've always been treated with kindness and compassion and have referred many friends who now feel the same way. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else! Read Less

There are so many reasons why I love this Veterinary Hospital, but the main one is their patience with my dog, Gibson. He is terrified of getting his nails done, to the point where he bites. This is not like him, but Charlotte, Amir, and Shannon all took their time with Gibson's nails and kept him calm and safe the whole time. When we added a golden retriever, Mowgli, to our family, we chose Steeplechase to care for his medical needs. They've been absolutely amazing through all of his sicknesses- mostly due to eating things he shouldn't. Silly dog! Highly recommend Steeplechase Vet Hospital if you are looking for the most caring, compassionate, and over all real animal-lovers to care for your dog. Probably same with cats, I just don't have one. My dog used to be scared to go to the vet even for nail trims we would have to drag him out of the car and in the door, but since he has been going to Steeplechase he is a happy dog, gets excited when we drive into the parking lot and goes right in. Not sure if this is because he gets kisses from the doc and staff or if they are like the dog whisperer? Also, Lucky has never been healthier. He's looking and feeling great even at his age. I have gotten lot's of "need to know" education from his vet that none of the other vet's we've been to have taken the time or care to keep us informed. Had a small emergency where my dog got stung by something in the backyard. They fit me in within 15 minutes and were very kind. We never got to the bottom of what had stung my dog but they gave her two shots and a take home spray to help her paw. Wasn't cheap but not outrageous either. Most of all I was glad they were kind and I loved the vet! Read Less

This is a 5-star outfit. I have so many pets that I feel like I live there sometimes. Their business is not that close to where I live, but I still make the trip because I know that my pet will be loved and be in good hands. They have done just about everything for me that a veterinary hospital can do; from routine checkups, to surgeries, to helping an old friend find peace at the end of his life. They are special people. If you are looking for a safe place to take your pet, this is it. You won't be disappointed, and your furry four-legged friend will get the best possible care.
