Our old english mastiff had only 1 puppy. Dr Higdon was concerned that there should be more. Recommended us take her to a facility that could handle the situation if there were more and it became an emergency,. Ended up there was indeed only 1 puppy. I called the office right at noon on Saturday to inquire about hours and Dr Higdon answered the phone. He asked if it was an emergency and I said no, I just needed to have the puppy seen by a vet and we were so satisfied with his recommendation to take our momma dog to another facility we wanted him to be our new vet. He said the office staff was all gone, but to call back Monday morning and they would take care of us. Highly recommend this practice. Read Less

Absolutely the best Vet Dr within North Ga. I tell everyone I wish Dr Higdon was my Dr seriously. This man is so kind, loving, patient, and knowledgeable which is something you don't find much this day and age. My previous pup had severe allergies and it became very stressful for me, trying to figure out what triggered her allergies and how to combat it. Dr Higdon ALWAYS took such great care of my pup. He even had a sensible plan on how to head off the attacks . This was critical since pollen season in North Ga is no joke. I would and do recommend him to all pet parents I know. I took my 2 dogs there for several years until dr Higdon put them on antidepressant for allergies. I took my dog to 2 other vets in the area and they couldn't figure out why that was given to my dog. I now have new vet and my dog is on allergy medicine that is meant for allergies. Always look up on the Internet to see what your pills that your giving your dog really are Read Less

Higdon Animal Hospital is by far, one of the best Veterinarian hospitals in the region. Dr. Danny Higdon is very knowledgeable and helpful to his patients. The rest of his staff, Molly and Rebecca, are very courteous, professional and knowledgeable as well and you can tell they really love all animals. Went to him for a second opinion on a dog that needed knee surgery. He and his staff seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. He ended up referring us to the RIVER for the surgery, but I would not hesitate to go see them again. Read Less
