This location was close to my house and I was also able to get in the same day. I was disappointed that the doctor man handled my tiny mild temper dog and never listened to his lungs or chest. I used to take both of my dogs to Dr. Ellington. Such a wonderful vet and always took time to explain what was going on w my pets.  And was extremely good on the purse strings.  A few times he'd take one of my frantic calls and he would triage or advise me on how to manage my dogs', not being quick for me to pay for an office visit. I like Dr. Murray, she's good and her bedside manner improved after she got acquainted w us. Some of staff members, well..one attempted to psychologizeme during one visit, and then became condescending;another seemed like she was being bothered when I decided to put my dog to sleep, then the last one, was answering the phone, and seemed a little swamped, but very irritated as I tried to.make an appointment.  She couldn't pull up my pet, nor my name and then asked me why did I wait so long to make an appointment...agitated the whole time, then angrily huffed, "I don't see his file!!" Great veterinarian!  She takes her time with us during our appointment and we never feel rushed.  We sometimes take advantage of the vaccination-only walk-in type service that offers vaccinations for a reduced fee without the doctor's visit.  I have no plans to take our dogs anywhere else. Dr. Murray is the best.  She has a very caring sense of humor.  I have known her for years through Boy Scouting.  She is the reason I decided to sign up my boys for Cub Scouts. She walked me through my first cat with kidney failure.  We adopted stray cats and now another snuggle bug has kidney failure.  She taught me how to administer fluids from an IV and the benefits of a kidney diet.  The food is more expensive, but there is less poop to scoop, because it is more digestible. The quality of life is important to this practice.  I finally had to let my first cat go, but it was nice to not have to send him to cat heaven before I had time to get used to him not being around.  She was very kind in telling me that if Shadow stopped drinking, that he was probably ready to die and that I should stop giving him IV fluids.  The staff is super nice too.  So glad that we are able to care for my current cat together.  I live 30 minutes away and it is worth the drive. Dr Murray is excellent. The office is clean and efficient. The staff are pleasant and courteous. Dr Murray treats my animals like they are her own. My dog who is very frightened at each visit gets reassurance and kisses on the nose. My cats gets treated like the feline royalty that he is convinced that he is. I highly recommend this practice. I have been taking my pets to Snapfinger Creek Animal Hospital for years and I truly enjoy the staff and especially Dr. Murray. I've had numerous pets and she's always been them the best care. She knows you and your pet by name and remembers the issues that they may have. Years ago I had a pit bull that suffered from seizures and she helped me for years keeping him in the best of health. I'm known at the animal hospital as the mail lady that always picks up stray dogs and the doctor always tries to help. I recently picked up a dog that was hit by a car and she took the dog in at no cost to me and helped the dog. Overall she's the best and I would recommend her to any pet lover. Caring for animals is something that I believe she loves to do. You can tell it's more than a job!! Read Less

I loved Dr. Ellington, this new vet is very disappointing. I hate her attitude and as another reviewer stated she is much more interested in making money than taking care of your pet.  I will not be returning either.  Save yourself frustration and time, walk on by this place. Read Less

I should have went with my instinct and used petsmart or petco.  Took my dog for shots and grooming.  The shots went fine, the grooming was horrible, he went in a chow chow and came out a poodle.  On top of that his hair cut was incomplete, he was cut way too low, he actually has razor cuts/bumps, he was dropped off at 830am, and still wasn't ready at 330pm.  The clinic admitted to the grooming was not completed, told me to come back as soon as possible.  I get to the clinic the next morning and they want to keep my scalped dog till 4pm.  I requested to speak to the doctor, it was a waste of time, and she let it be known she doesn't care I am unhappy and not coming back.  TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED IN SERVICE THERE ARE OTHER CLINICS AROUND!!!  There was no concern about my dogs razor bumps or unfinished tortured hair cut.  WOW a waste if $180 bucks!! We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Dr. Ellington but had a female vet for a rescued cat that we brought in.  While the staff at the front desk was wonderful, the vet herself had a horrible attitude and was degrading to us even after we'd had the cat vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and completely cared for medically.  After spending that much money to care for an animal that isn't even ours the last thing we need is someone being condescending and nasty to us.  Save the frustration and visit one of the better vet clinics in the area. We took our pets there this year for their yearly check up and we were very disappointed. I have known Dr.Ellington my entire life. My family has always gone to him  and the few times I have gone to another vet my experience was no where near as good as it has always been with Dr.E. He truly cares for the animals and has been in business for quite sometime. I fear the day he retires.
