Vet To Pet Services

Ellerslie, Georgia
General Info
Vet to Pet Services, located in Ellerslie, identifies the temporal approach as a cornerstone of its practice. Animals are sensitive to changes in light, temperature, and mood rhythms because these factors are interconnected. This is earning families’ trust throughout Georgia. The medical facility meticulously observes entrance stances and auditory responsiveness in conjunction with movement rhythms and attention behaviors. The sequence of the examination (ears and teeth first, abdomen and joints last) corresponds to the animal response cycle. Pet owners need to observe and report on the habits of their pets; for example, the places they prefer to rest as mealtime approaches and whether they spend more time next to a door or on soft surfaces. “Vet to Pet Services” performs various checks and diagnostic services as part of age-adjusted physical examinations and other preventative screenings. Moreover, the company assists in GI stability or endocrine care programs during surgical preparation and postoperative reflection routines. Depending on the animal’s demeanor and the owner’s availability, these appointments could be done at once or divided into two shorter visits. Medical personnel will identify what needs to be done first by observing the pet’s behavior (no checklists) and gradually adjusting to his/her pace and touch limit. Families receive daily reports on patterns, detailed descriptions of specific behaviors, and times the pet shows symptoms, changes that occur afterward, and rebalancing. Through text check-ins, pacing charts, and adjustable timelines, follow-up care is based on the pet’s emotional state rather than clinical factors. Ellerslie families and other Georgia residents benefit from Vet to Pet Services' animal healthcare, which matches pets’ natural lifestyles in their homes at real times. The services offered at Vet To Pet Services include the following: Radiology (X-rays), Dental Care, Orthopedic Surgery, Microchipping, Vaccinations, Preventive Medicine, Wellness Exams, Puppy and Kitten Care, Surgery and Mobile Vet Services. This diversity means that pet owners in Ellerslie and the surrounding areas can find everything their animal needs, from routine vet services to more complex procedures. The clinic is a trusted name in the Ellerslie region and beyond because of the kind of services offered there for enhancing lifelong pet health and comfort.

Hard to believe that I am writing a bad review about this vet. My prior experiences with them have been great. I have an older black lab that is very difficult to transport who quickly developed some concerning symptoms. I called the office and was advised that I would need to bring him in given what I relayed to them about his condition. I went to considerable trouble (taking time off of work, recruiting help to load him, and driving out to Ellerslie) to get him to the office. We were on time and there was one other patient in the back office and we were told that the final patient of the day was scheduled an hour after our appointment. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The associate vet, who I was not expecting to see since I had requested Dr. Cary, came out front and started to escort us to the back office. My lab became more stressed (it's a tight office) and she offered to examine him in the waiting area. Which was fine.  The problem is that she gave him a cursory exam in a few short minutes and diagnosed him as having a mild case of gingivitis - which in my opinion would not have brought on the symptoms he is experiencing so quickly or to the degree that they presented. She recommended I bring him back in February to have his teeth cleaned. When I went on to explain the symptoms further, she brushed my concerns off. When I went on to explain to her that I had contacted the office and explained the obstacles that I would have to overcome to make the appointment, she responded by telling me that she had accommodated me by examining my dog in the front office (again, there were no other patients in the building). Dr. Cary walked in about that time and she asked me if I would like a second opinion. I said that I would. She went back and spoke to Dr. Cary and came back out to inform me that Dr. Cary could give me a second opinion if I made another appointment. I declined! I don't feel you can get adequate care from a disinterested medical professional of any kind. I will not use their services again. Read Less

Initial visit with this vet was them having to come to my house due to having a grumpy old man (black lab mix) who can be difficult to transport. And while he was here to give the old man his annual exam and shots he was able to take care of the rest of our family fur babies. (Boston terrier and tubby cat). They were amazing. And the stress levels for my pets were greatly reduced. I was so greatful for the time he spent answering all my fifty million questions and concerns. So of course when we got a new addition ( female coon hound pup) of course there was no question to who she was being taken to! We have had a total of 4 visits now and will continue using this Vet and his services for as long as we are within driving range. It is very clear that he and his staff are not just doing their jobs. But that they love animals of all kinds. Whether it be their own or a patient. I highly recommend you give them a try. Read Less

Dr. Carey is a very good, very observant vet, but I am not very happy with the office staff right now. This was strike three for me. Lady comes in an hour and a half late and is ushered in ahead of me. My 11:30 appointment had already been moved to 12:30 because they were behind. (They nicely called me - twice - as they were running late) Paperwork was not up-dated after my first visit, then at Thanksgiving my male was very ill and in pain and I had to find another vet (same thing with the vet I had used for 8 years) who, when he examined my dog, immediately performed surgery to alleviate a very swollen and painful anal gland that was preventing pooping and back leg movement. Then there was today. I just am not having good luck getting help for my pets. Read Less

What a great experience today! We have never had home veterinary for our dogs. They were so much less stressed being able to have their annual checkups and vaccinations without having to leave home. Happy puppies! The horses had the excellent care that they always receive from Dr. Carey. I love the at-home vet experience and we will do this from now on! Read Less

Had annua) check ups and vaccines on 3 dogs today. This was my first time with Dr. Carey He and his assistant wre exceptional! Our dogs got very thorough exams, we got all our questions answered and they treated our pets like their own. Other than our Morkie the dogs did great. Macy was just plain acting crazy and even then they were very patient with her. I now have a permanent vet! Highhly recommend Dr. Carey! Read Less

Just had my first encounter with Vet to Pet in Ellerslie. These guys don't get paid enough to do what they do. My dog, let's just say, has an irrational aversion to the vet that manifests itself in a maniacal whirlwind of spinning slobbering biting carnage. Thanks guys! Read Less
