I came to Greenbrier on a recommendation from my previous veterinarian when she moved out of state. I thought I would never trust anyone with my pets like I did with her but I am glad to say Dr. Wheatley, Dr. Bloodworth, and the rest of the staff have been nothing but wonderful. My three dogs and three ferrets each have unique "issues" and I feel like I am at the clinic more than I am home at times. I can always get an appointment with ease (thanks Kim!), can call anytime with questions, and am seen on time without feeling rushed. I am a professional dog groomer and highly recommend them to all of my clients. I have had several clients switch to them and tell me how happy they are that they did. After a scare with our six month old puppy that she may have issues with her liver, a friend referred me here for a second opinion. I debated initially because of spending more money on the same tests to make sure nothing was wrong, but my goodness am I happy I did that. A second set of blood work came in with nothing to be concerned about and Dr. Wheatley made sure to go over every single detail and made sure that I felt comfortable with what I was looking at. I ended up not wanting to switch back to my original vet because of how friendly and professional not just Dr. Wheatley is, but everyone that works in the office is, as well. They took extra precautions when I took her in a few weeks later to get her spayed and called to let me know how she was and I really appreciated it. When I came back in this morning to pick her up after getting spayed, the lady sat and went over everything, let me know how she did (good and bad stuff!) and just talked for a good five-ten minutes. Every experience I've had so far has been more than pleasant and I'm thinking about switching my older dog to come see them, as well. It was very important for me to find the best veterinary that provided 5-star care with reasonable prices. I was able to schedule an appointment the next day after Labor Day weekend. The clinic is very clean - who wants to take their animals to a clinic that looks unsanitary??? I am extremely happy that I took my new puppy to Greenbrier Veterinary Services. The staff were incredibly friendly and the veterinarian was knowledgeable. Both the staff and the veterinarian listened to my concerns before they responded. All my concerns were addressed (reassurance) and given an on-the-spot how to clean a puppy's ears. I selected the puppy package and the prices were reasonable; definitely lower prices than most clinics/hospitals. I love the puppy bag with a lot of great reference material, especially since I'm a new puppy owner. I definitely will be having my other animals (cats) seen by this Veterinary. Thank you all!!! Dr. Wheatley and her entire staff are really competent! I couldn't be happier. They quickly diagnosed my 15 year-old mini poodle's problem and now she's happy and being herself again! It's really convenient how they can analyze the blood samples right there and the results come out in just a few minutes. I love and really appreciate how much they cared about my dog and how they tried to do everything they could to see her do better. Also, they're not greedy people, which is really important to me. My cat absolutely hated the previous vet I took him to, he always refused to get out of his crate and struggled to get away from the staff. Here, no such problem! We had an older cat who was dying and we took him to see the doctor and staff here. We had never been to see them before. The office was small, clean, and efficiently run, but the very best thing was that the doctor and staff were so sympathetic and kind to our cat and to us. After his death, they gently placed him in a box. We brought him home to bury him next to his sister and when we opened the box, we saw that they had lovingly placed him in the position of a sleeping kitty. We were so touched. Within 2 days we received a card from this office. Inside we found sweet, personal, handwritten notes from each and every person on their staff, expressing their sadness for our loss. I used to work as a veterinary assistant years ago, so I'm a little bit of a "vet snob." After trying out several different veterinary clinics in the area, Greenbrier Veterinary Services far exceeded my expectations. The staff is super-friendly and respond quickly to any online messages or voicemails. Their website is easy to navigate, and they have a way to get meds (such as heart worm prevention) online. I first started going when my cat was sick with cancer, and ended up having Dr. Wheatley come to my house to put my cat to sleep. She was wonderful enough to come late in the afternoon on a day which she usually does not reserve for house calls. She was kind and compassionate, and my sweet boy was able to go peacefully in his own home. We have since relocated to North Augusta, but we still make the 30 minute drive whenever any of our other pets need vaccines or any other care!Read Less

Best vet clinic I've been to so far, the staff was super sweet and helpful. They did everything they could to help our two babies (can be very challenging around other animals). You can even order through medication through them and they accept CareCredit cards. They are not overpriced. Read Less

I got a new puppy and took him to this vet because this is where my parents have taken their dogs. We noticed the puppy had blood in his stool so took him in the day we got him. The vet ran a parvo test and told us it came back positive. The vet told us he would start throwing up soon and that we had bought a "dud puppy". The lady we bought him from allowed us to return him because she was willing to pay for his treatment. She took him to her vet the next day where her vet ran another test which came negative. We have checked in on the puppy who is perfectly healthy and went to another home. We even called this vet back and asked if it could have been a false positive and she said no. I will not be taking my animals here again and neither will my parents. Read Less

Tried to take my lab in today for severe hip pain. He could hardly move. I stopped in to for them to treat him and they wouldn't. We started going to Dr. Wheatley when she opened her location in Evans. She and her staff are like no other vet we have ever used. Unfortunately, she has had to deliver bad news to us on more than one occasion and she did so with such compassion and empathy. She truly felt the pain and sadness that we felt. She is very thorough with our pups at each visit and treats them with kindness and gentleness. She and her staff always follow up if one of our dogs have been in with any condition. My little dog was pretty sick his leg has been hurting him and I called and they fit him in the same day which was today. . They were so sweet.  As I was in there my sugar dropped and I had to go get a soda or candy and they gladly watched him while I went to Publix to get me a soda.  The  care given by the veterinarian was wonderful she examined him and told me right away what it was and gave him medication I will certainly go back to this clinic everyone there was so kind and very caring.  Thank you. . I've been to a lot of different veterinarians with a lot of different pets in my life, and this is most certainly the best care, attention, and service I have ever received - this has held true on a consistent basis over multiple visits, not just a one-off expereince.  The doctor and her staff are just wonderful - friendly, informative, responsive to questions/concerns, and great with the pets.  If you live anywhere near her office and need a vet, I can't possibly recommend this office any higher. I'm new to this area and found this vet through yelp. I took my 2 cats in for a wellness exam. The woman who I spoke with was very nice and I was able to be seen that afternoon. They advised to arrive 15 mins prior to appt time for paperwork. I did and was seen promptly at my appt time. The technician, Crystal, and the vet, Dr. Wheatley were great with my boys. I am extremely pleased with the service provided on 10/09/14 by Greenbriar Veterinary. I scheduled a home service call for my 6 cats Merlin, Maggie, Salem, Gwinny, Salem L and Sabrina plus my small Chihuahua Service Dog Hobbie. The doctor and her assistant arrived exactly on time, with a scale and portable computer/printer in two for accurate and immediate record keeping. Each animal was weighed, briefly examined and then given their vaccinations so carefully that not even the four geriatric cats (ranging from 12-15) batted a whisker. My oldest cat Salem is 15 and needed a more thorough exam and blood drawn, and the doctor did this so skillfully that he did not even struggle or flinch while her assistant held and comforted him. Even my Chihuahua, who is usually very sensitive didn't mind her injections. Afterwards, we all sat around the living room while the vet tech established electronic records and Rabies certificates for my seven animals. My huge Ragdoll cats were completely enthralled with the portable printer and my dog had a ball hopping around where they were sitting on the floor playing with them, and patiently answering my questions. I cannot say enough about the entire experience. It is a godsend that this practice makes house calls, not only for people like me with a lot of animals but for many others, especially the elderly, shut-ins, busy parents of small children and anyone who simply wants a calmer, less stressful experience for their pets and/or themselves. They also have an office in the river wood shopping center in Evans, which is only 12 miles down the road for me. Prices were extremely reasonable which also makes for less stress on the monthly budget. I would not hesitate to use their services again and cannot recommend them highly enough.
