Dr. Thompson and Jenny took such good care of my dog, treating her like she was their own the whole time. My dog unfortunately had a very painful and foul-smelling infected area on her ear. They treated her so gently and with such compassion while they took care of her. I appreciated that so much, and I know Winnie did too. Thank you both! Read Less

I've been with Banfield for about 9 years since my first dog came to my house. The staff were wonderful and took care of my dog Maya. However, a few months ago we dropped Maya off because she had a swollen and hard abdomen and would urinate frequently. She was visibly VERY sick. When I dropped her off I asked for a muzzle because my chihuahua is very snappy, but they said no and they could handle it. So I left. 5 hours later I come back to pick her up and they tell me they still have not had the chance to see to see her because she was being too "snappy and aggressive." Go figure. I TOLD them more than once to give me a muzzle. What shocks me the most is it was VERY clear that my dog was in critical condition and needed to bed seen immediately, but even FIVE HOURS LATER, they still haven't looked at her.After that things just went down hill. I left Maya and I got a call an hour later that Maya has Pyometrea, which is when the uterus full with puss and it can burst causing complications and can be fatal without emergency surgery. They told me she only has a 50/50 chance of surviving and the surgery is over $ 3,000+ and that we need to pay immediately or put her down. This is my first dog so my entire family was devastated. I rushed to the clinic and had tears in my eyes and listened to the doctor explain to me how my dog will basically die and we will waste thousands of dollars. Meanwhile, she is looking at my friend and telling her this instead of at me because I am crying I'm assuming? Which is HIGHLY unprofessional. We walked in to say our goodbyes, but my mother last minute decided to take her home for one last night. I ended up calling a friend who is a vet tech and she talked to the main doctor at her clinic and the doctor told me there is ONLY  a 5% fatality rate for this surgery because its quite common. Basically this surgery will save her life. The surgery, x-rays, overnight stay, and medications were all $1,000 and they fixed her up immediately. My dog is 9 years old now and VERY happy and healthy. I almost lost my very first dog due to Banfield staff's LACK of knowledge. I've heard many similar stories. I will never ever go back. I love my vet now and they care about me and my dog, unlike Banfield. Read Less

Banfield has taken care of my three doxies Buffy, Teddy, and Bruiser for years.   Today they had their shots, and teeth cleaned.  The staff and doctor were great!   They show genuine love for their jobs and took care of my babies like they were there own.   Thanks guys! Read Less

If you are considering signing up your pet with Banfield at Flower Branch, please don't. I've been with them for 5 years and I should had found another place years ago. They have charged me for medicine without authorization several times. Today, April 25th, 2015, they have done it again. My pet had a regular check up, which is included in our plan. They told me that I could drop him up and pick him up when he was done. My brother dropped him. When I went to picked my pet, they said that they had administered heartwarm medicine. The problem is that I did not authorized it. The person at the front desk said that he just made the assumption that whoever dropped him up was authorized to make the call. Of course, when it comes to get your money it's ok to make assumptions. I asked to talk to the manager and they told me that he or she was not available until Monday. How can they run the place without management? The other thing it really bothers me is how the technicians handle the situations. They kept saying that I should understand that it was normal to make assumptions. I can't believe Banfield hired or train such incompetent personnel. Someone who's not in management should not make that call. Please I urge you to take your pets somewhere else where they value your pet's wellbeing and respect their clients. Read Less

Please do not take your animals here! Dr. Thompson failed to diagnose my dog's serious case of glaucoma in her eye, even after we specifically asked if this could be a possibility. She told us our dog most likely bumped into something and the eye would heal on it's own and prescribed an antibiotic. Two days later when we returned due to a bad reaction to the antibiotic, she told us her eye looked better, which I was extremely skeptical about. My dog had textbook symptoms of glaucoma (redness, completely clouded cornea, and bulging), and Dr. Thompson did not recognize this nor do anything useful for my dog. We finally took her elsewhere for a second opinion. It is now too late and my dog already has permanent vision loss in the affected eye and will most likely have to have it removed. This Banfield is incompetent and unknowledgeable and will not provide your animals the care they deserve. Read Less

This is the worst vet I've seen in my life! She hates treating dogs because she has no idea what she's supposed to do as vet. I would say that she is more a dog abuser than a doctor. Shame on those who licensed her and allowed to practice and abuse our pets. I would not recommend this so-called Dr. Dorton to anyone who loves their pets. Read this before you chose this vet. I was concerned about the care my cat would receive in another location (he's a bit hard to handle) after we moved, but so far it has been great. It says a lot that a chain pet hospital upholds the high standards in their varius branches. I do miss having Dr. Jennifer Dorton DVM at this location and wish her the best. I would (and have) recommended this branch to friends and family. Read Less

I've been with Banfield for about 9 years since my first dog came to my house. The staff were wonderful and took care of my dog Maya. However, a few months ago we dropped Maya off because she had a swollen and hard abdomen and would urinate frequently. She was visibly VERY sick. This is the worst vet I've seen in my life! She hates treating dogs because she has no idea what she's supposed to do as vet. I would say that she is more a dog abuser than a doctor. Shame on those who licensed her and allowed to practice and abuse our pets. I would not recommend this so-called Dr. Dorton to anyone who loves their pets. Read this before you chose this vet. I was concerned about the care my cat would receive in another location (he's a bit hard to handle) after we moved, but so far it has been great. It says a lot that a chain pet hospital upholds the high standards in their varius branches. I do miss having Dr. Jennifer Dorton DVM at this location and wish her the best.
