I've known Butler for many years. His love and compassion for animals is amazing. In this day of age some vets try and humanize animals. Not Butler, he is compassionate of his clients needs and offers options without the guilt. We have driven 30 plus minutes from Macon for 10 years to take our pets to him even though there are closer alternatives. Read Less

Dr. Caldwell was my regular vet when I lived in nearby Macon. I have two rescue dogs, both of which had various health conditions when I got them. Dr Caldwell and his staff are very courteous and gentle toward my girls, and one who is especially afraid at the vet. I moved away three years ago and now that I'm forced to find a new veterinary home, I realize how spoiled we were with Dr. Caldwell. On a recent trip back to Macon, we were in need of services. We were fortunate that there had been a cancellation and the wonderful office staff was able to get us in. A small procedure was required and I knew we were in perfect hands. Thank you to all. Dr. Caldwell and staff, I can't express the feelings I have for you and your staff. I remember the first time I brought Taz our BOXER to you, you sat in the floor and played with him. He licked your face and he has never done that to any other vet. So to me Taz was saying he's cool mom and he is part of our family!!! Yesterday morning when I walked through the door the look Courtney gave me, she knew we were about to send our little buddy to heaven. Brian carried Taz to Room 2 and there u were so patient and the look on your face I know you felt our pain!!! In my lifetime of having dogs and bringing them to the vet I have NEVER witnessed the heartfelt warmth,compassion, sadness and grief as we did yesterday morning from you , Courtney (dark hair), the girl that was in the room with us . I have been very pleased with my experiences at Caldwell Vet Hospital.  I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and have required routine check ups, teeth cleaning under anesthesia, boarding, cat neutering, and random doggy illness check ups and have had great service with everything.  I have always been greeted with a friendly smile, the animals are always treated lovingly, they do whatever they can to ease your mind and make you feel comfortable.  They recognize the pups now and actually seem to make them feel ok about being at the vet.  The facilities are clean and well kept.  The vet spends time listening to questions and concerns and doesn't rush you out in a hurry.  I trust them to take care of my furry children.
