After seeing the negative reviews on here I had to leave one myself. My experiences with this office have been nothing less than great ones. I routinely take both of my dogs which are like my children to The Animal Medical Center in Ft. Oglethorpe. They are very good with both of them and they respect my attachment to them. They are very gentle with them and I have been taking one of them for the last 10 years and the other for the last 3 years. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The vet upon meeting my dog said she wasnt well behaved because she jumped on him. He was very rude and sarcastic about treatment by body language and tone of voice. When he tried to check my dog's ears she whimpered, tried to get away, and peed everywhere. He even called her crazy! She is an Aussie Golden Retriever and is super friendly but was scared. I left and went to a different vet.

I called to make an appointment for a friend's dog who wanted trifexis. I received a bullying, and sarcastic letter stating they will not see any of my pets until I pay them the money THAT THEY WERE ALREADY PAID; FOR MY DEAD DOG. And the call was for someone else to bring their dog in.
Once again, Dr. Schaffeld, with incorrect information, bullied, and talked over me, and when I tried to speak, hung up on me.
Their office is a mess and files are incomplete, misplaced, and intermingled, and trying to correct a problem results in being hung up on.If they read this, I ask that they NEVER write or call me again unless it is with an apology. OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOR!!
UPDATE...this was simply an error on the part of this facility. I do not understand why this facility cannot just have a discussion, and look into it, and correct the error. Especially when they know the person they are berating lost their pet. It should have been a simple business matter. The hysteria conveyed in attacking the customer, and berating her, and hanging up on her, rather than looking into the error, and simply correcting it us beyond my comprehension. I did take my proof of payment, with someone to keep the peace, as I did not want there to be a scene of further berating. While no one seemed to want to recognize there had been an error, I hope they will correct their records. And consider that it is possible for them to make an error, and adopting an "attack first mentality" is not an appropriate way to conduct business. Especially in a business that is supposed to have caring as part of their mantra.

Took my dog in to get spayed and to have her seizures checked out. When she was initially brought in I had given her a treat with medicine in it. When the receptionist tried to give her another she was told that my dog already had one. The lady then said, " don't tell me how to do my job." When I was making sure they were going to check her seizures, all I got was yea yea we will check that. Today I picked her up and they didn't even know which dog was mine and had to ask me what color she was. Didn't say anything about checking her seizures and brought her out to the lobby where other cats and dogs were without a leash. I will never use this place again cause they obviously don't see my pet as part of my family

Worst vet ever!! I have had my fur baby going there since he was a puppy...he is now 7 yrs old. Had an appointment with him last month for his yearly checkup at which his medications and all of that were discussed...a month later he decides he isn't going to refill his meds and told me that on previous visit he was "being a bad vet" and now he was going to be "a good one" (his words not mine). So now I will find a vet that wants to be a good vet all the time...and hopefully better staff since they don't care about the animals that come in there (since after going there all those years they never recognized him or his name)

Its like they are comfortable at there job too much & forget customer service. Just a smile would make a difference. Overall I would recommend this place if your furbaby needs medical attention or just a routine checkup.

I routinely take both of my dogs which are like my children to The Animal Medical Center in Ft. Oglethorpe. They are very good with both of them and they respect my attachment to them. They are very gentle with them and I have been taking one of them for the last 10 years and the other for the last 3 years. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The on-call vet took my call late on Friday & was so nice. Saw my fur baby 1st thing next am and stapled her back up and got her back to good as new! Staff was great too!
