Our beloved little dog got hit by a car on Easter Sunday. She tried to cross Brown's Bridge to get to a dead thing on the other side - what a goober. When our neighbor brought her to us she was in shock and hardly moving. We could tell she wasn't paralyzed because she cried when we moved her back legs. It was so scary. We needed to find a vet quickly. We were relieved to discover AnEmerge was open and rushed across town. The vet techs immediately took our dog back and gave her some painkillers to make her comfortable until she could be seen by the vet. There were two other dogs there before us - apparently Easter is a rough day for pets! They let you know up front that there is initially an $80 fee to see the doctor, not including treatment. We were more than willing to pay it. There are few vets available on a Sunday AND holiday. The vet was kind and gentle with our girl and with us and recommended several things for treatment - she needed her wounds to be irrigated, stitches in her feet, antibiotics etc. He didn't think her legs were broken but said he'd need an x-ray to be sure. He gave us an itemized printout of his suggestions, in prioritized order of what he felt was most important so we could determine what we wanted to spend. We had him clean her up and stitch her up and give her the antibiotic injection but elected to skip the x-ray and take her to our regular vet for that the following day. They took good care of her and we were able to pick her up before dinner and bring her home with a little cast. Was it more expensive than a regular vet? Yes. But it was seriously worth it to be able to find a vet on a holiday and know our pup in good hands. I'm seriously grateful they were an option during a really scary time. Read Less

The vet tech who name was Amanda was very condensing to us and I am a nurse and treated our furbaby very rough. She showed no compassion for us nor my dog. My dog was severely attacked by another dog on a Saturday afternoon. My vet was closed and I found this place. They did a great job taking care of him. He had approximately 30 puncture wounds and lacerations and needed stitches, fluids, sedation and more. They did a great job and were very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Another note, I have read the bad reviews here and would like to say that sick/hurt pets is an emotional thing. But if your broke, overly emotional, and desperate for help with an animal, you need to understand that 1. These are not miracle workers. 2. There is only so much charity that a business can provide. And 3. If you’re too stupid to understand points one and two, you should not own a pet. And finally. Get your animal properly vaccinated so that in the event that an emergency arises, the emergency facility will not have to treat bites, blood, and fluids as though they are a public health risk. And if you’re too lazy and stupid and broke to understand that, not only should you not have pets, but also please don’t have children. For God sake, every bad review came from a complete moron. Bottom line, this vet was great. Read Less

I deeply appreciate those who have given an honest evaluation of our services and we welcome any criticism that will improve our service to the community. In light of the few negative responses we have here we are taking those criticisms in account and reviewing our protocols with receiving clients. Im sorry but some of these reviews have some inaccuracies that I would like to give an opinion on. Its my opinion just as it is theirs. To Katrina Phillips Im sorry your cat was so ill, I reviewed the record and he was indeed seen here and died while in the hospital. We are sorry for your loss but sometimes pets are at the point of death when brought in and clients are in an emotional state of mind and see things in a different way. You declined CPR and were not charged for the visit even though he was put into oxygen and received initial CPR until we could get authorization to continue. To Emily Clay and Leah Orange: I did not find records of a visit from either of you so either you used a different name or had us confused with another clinic you visited so I have no response to your concerns. To Tia Kennedy: I remember your visit, you came in very early in the morning and although you perceived we were in middle of a late night snack I dont believe you actually saw us eat anything in front of you. I took extra time with you because you were the sole client in the building at the time and wanted to give you some extra service because of your genuine concern for the kitten with the upper respiratory infection you presented. Yes I did leave your presence but I was doing additional research on treatment to augment what your family DVM had already prescribed. It can seem like a long time while waiting as I have the same concerns when Im at the doctor or dentist. You were here just over an hour and after reviewing the discharge instructions you were given explicit instructions on how to medicate your pet. I like to follow up on the less than average star ratings to make sure that we as a hospital serving the community need to make any changes in our services. Leah Orange was not a patient at this hospital. Emily Clay is also not listed as a client at this hospital. To Janice Goshin: your pet had potential exposure to five different medications that ranged from drugs that control blood pressure to opiates. You were not charged for taking your pets vitals as those were taken at admission even in light of fact you did not recognize that procedure. Based on the ASPCA poison control experts the most likely effect form any one of these for a dog was lowering of blood pressure. Your pets blood pressure was monitored and found to be in the normal range. You were not required to call poison control in order to be seen and your interpretation of that was inaccurate. The $65 you paid to ASPCA poison control saved your hundreds of dollars in tests and that is why we recommend that clients call in cases involving pet exposure to human drugs. Read Less

Do not take your animal to this Center. My dog apparently ingested one of the medications I am taking. I call ahead to ask advise. The staff did not mention that I had to contact poison control before they would examine my dog. I had to call poison control my self, pay, in advance, $65.00 to get instructions for the doctor regarding proper treatment. Poison control asked me for his vitals. They hospital had not taken his vitals. Finally, 2 hours later, after my dogs symptoms improved, they took his vitals, for the first time. I was told he would fine. They charged me an office fee of $89.00 plus another $50.00 to take his vitals. I have personally never been charged by a doctor or hospital for basic care such as simple vital signs. He was the only patient. I would have called poison control immedately after realizing he had ingested the pills.

Read Less

We had to take our golden doodle in last night because he had a bone stuck on his lower jaw. We were very pleased with the care he (and we) received!

Read Less
