I took my dog with a injured eye to them because my normal vet Gordon animal clinic was closed I asked them to give me a exact amount what it would cost they came out and said there's two options one we can try to operate on the eye or remove the eye she had a puncture the eye operation was $150 plus whatever meds she would need to go home with $300 for the eye removal which I thought that was extremely high I agreed to the $150 procedure the next day I go to pick her up it wasn't really an eye surgery it looked like they cut into the upper part of her skin put a tube in it maybe a couple stitches and left a piece of gauze in the stitching they come out with a bill for $352 just about $85 of that was for antibiotics and eye drops I disputed the charges because I was told a specific amount they came back with a bill for $242 - the medicines which was probably less than $20 if I ordered it online talk about highway robbery and bait and switch I will not recommend them to anyone ever ever myself two days after I picked her up from them I went to Gordon animal clinic to see Ivy Dennard he took one look at her and said that procedure and the stitching did not need to be there and removed it immediately said he did not see any stitches in her eye which they told me that they showed her eyeball up so they lied to me and said there was permanent stitches in the eye itself and the one above the eye which I'm not stupid you would use dissolvable stitches and even Ivy agreed. He said more than likely she won't be able to see so well or be blind but let's hope that she heals up here's two liquid medications for retinal repair which is better than what they prescribed anyhow that I never got they were supposed to do the follow-up procedure but I will not take her back out there because they're bad business practices trying to almost more than double almost triple the cost of what they gave me a price for because I said I don't need any extra expenses when you're not working this is really more than I can afford it this time so going from 150 plus some meds to $352 that's one hell of a big difference Gordon animal clinic did not even charge me except for the liquid eye drops maybe a little more than I could have paid for them online but for what he did removing the tube stitching and stuff that was told to stay in there for 15 days he's a much better trustworthy doctor and you deal with him one on one the liquid eye drops I spent $34.24 and he said more than likely you won't have to bring her back unless her eye would happen to get really infected but to remove her eye they would charge probably $150 for that procedure and no hidden other cost so fair warning I did have to update a rabies shot which was included at Piedmont that's only like $20 but when someone tells you one price if there was something unexpected that happened you would call a customer or the owner which I believe they did was relieve some inflammation swelling by cutting her skin open draining it cleaning it which would not have costly much to do in the first place so moral of this sad story if you have a pet need I recommend you take them to Gordon animal clinic and I'll be Georgia it's a little further out of the way but you will be so glad that's where you took your animal and it won't hit your wallet or have a bait and switch price jacked up where you can't afford it Read Less

My dog had an ear infection and kept shaking his head. I took him there because they said they weren't as expensive as other vets for the same procedures. I ended up paying $165 which was for heart worm medicine (and supposedly the test as well), ear check (supposedly) and prescription drops. Mind you this is a dog that is very aggressive and tries to attack everyone so not sure how they checked him without a sedative. So the drops didn't work...what I could get in him. Took him back, they prescribed a basic oral antibiotic, that was another $105. Still didn't work. They said I needed to have it cultured. That was another $76 and they called in augmentin to Walmart which cost $55 because they said it would cost more at their clinic for the medication that was supposed to treat the THREE types of bacteria they said was growing. That's $401!!! and he still has an ear infection! NEVER got relief. NEVER stopped shaking his head. Now I'm taking him again except I took him to another vet, Dr. Griffin, and they charged me $44 for 4 medications (one that Piedmont said was too expensive in their office) and they charge NO office visit. One of the medications is a sedative because they said my dog is too aggressive to check him properly. hmmm I will take him back next week and they will do a THOROUGH swab and check while he's sedated. Wow! Read Less
