We decided to take our two pups here because it was closer to home and we were not disappointed! The entire staff was very friendly and inviting! They answered all questions we had about what flea, tick and heartworm control was best for us. This was our first visit I would definitely recommend this office! My first encounter with this place didn't go very well. I had scheduled an appointment to have our dogs nails trimmed after recently moving to the area. I could have taken them anywhere for this service but my intention was to feel them out a little bit to see if I wanted to try them in the future. Some wires got crossed and when we brought the dogs in after work, we were told they didn't have time to clip the nails by the receptionist. I gave them a bad review. However, Dr. Rese contacted me within hours of my review and sincerely apologized for the error and asked us to give them another chance. That was back in 2014. I did give them another chance. It was THE BEST decision I ever made. WE LOVE HER and the staff. We find them to be extremely knowledgeable and efficient. But the thing that means the most to us is the friendly attitude and compassion of the doctors and staff. They are the only vet we use now. For everything. In July of 2015, Dr. Rese helped our dachshund Copper of over 17 years cross over Rainbow Bridge. It was a precious moment and Dr. Rese and her staff treated us and our Copper with the utmost respect and compassion. We still have two dogs and both dogs remain under the care of Guyton Animal Hospital. We are not only extremely satisfied with their services, but we feel truly blessed to have found them. I want to thank Dana and Dr. Rese and all the staff that dealt with us yesterday for eveything they did yesterday with Angel trying to keep her from having a c section. She ended up having to have one, they are great people, very compassionate people and love animals. They are very thorough and let you know what's going on every step of the way, they are very smart, we will never take our animals anywhere else. Today was a critical day for my Boxer and myself. I asked the hard questions and got straight forward answers. Exactly what I needed at this point. Ms. Schmetz was amazing and although I ended up putting my guy down. She was very compassionate towards me. She knew my pain as she to owned a Boxer! First time customer but have used the vets in Rincon in previous years and driving out to Guyton is worth it. Friendly staff and did not over charge. The Rincon vets will run unnecessary tests for the hell of it when your animal is not even sick. They just "want to be sure" and your bill doubles immediately. When you go to Guyton you can ask for the total charges before you even get there and that number wont change. The vet is so nice and takes her time talking to you, she is very thorough and checks everything during the exam. Very pleased and I look forward to using them for my other animals. Read Less
