I feel that there service is the best in the state. Dr. Mayer is a person that tell you just what is going on with your animal . She does in a way that you can understand . She lets you know what she would do, but let you choose from other available options. I have four dogs and would not take them to any one else. I just got a new family member she is a three-month-old 40 lb German Shepherd and I have two chihuahuas all so. The chihuahua rule the house I mean that's just the way it is they got control of the house and doctor Mayer takes care of all of them and loved every one of them . Dr Mayer and staff are friendly and professional as well. I have taken Zola for shots, nail trimmings and also had her spaying done there as well. Took my dog, that I had just adopted from the animal shelter a week prior, to get a wellness exam. Just to make sure she was fine and healthy. I was expecting her ears and mouth to get checked, joints checked, underside checked, all the good stuff that a vet SHOULD do during an examination. Nope! I paid $26.50 for her to check her heartbeat. Then I take her to get groomed and my dogs groomer says her tail is broke in about 3 spots and she has an ear infection. Now if that vet would've done what she was SUPPOSE to do, I would've known this sooner! I will never bring an animal there...ever! Read Less

They are the nicest most compassionate people around. They go above and beyond for everyone. We had to put our service dog to sleep and they were great and compassionate with us. "South Point Animal Hospital" absolutely deserves five stars. They care for healthy and ill pets/animals. My beautiful dog Eugene was extremely ill and there was nothing that could be done treatment wise. When he passed I did not know where to go or what to do (we are not allowed to bury any pets in our yard even though we own our property). I called the local animal control and was informed that pet removal was $100.00 and my pet would be disposed of in the dump/landfill. Eugene (my dog) is a part of my family and not garbage just to be thrown out. The lady I spoke with at animal control told me I should call my local veterinary clinic and that they may have more options. I called "South Point Animal Hospitol" and was informed that I could get my dog cremated. There are a few options available (price varies by weight of pet and options picked). Knowing Eugene was not disposed of in the dump/landfill and that he was treated with respect truly means a lot to me. "South Point Animal Hospital" really does care for pets/animals.... Although it is sad death is a part of life. "South Point Animal Hospital" helped me make a difficult decision during a difficult time. Read Less

I've been to SouthPointe many many times with my Yorkies (from my yorkie-poo getting bit by a pit bull). They're excellent and very caring. I have dealt with this group of people since I moved from Evans out to Burke County. Everyone is great and very professional. I have a two large dogs and three small dogs. They are great with my pets. I have had one dog groomed here several times and they have done an excellent job. They treat my animals just like their own pets.
